You are mistaken. I followed your instruction of 2 cups rice and 2 cups water. The rice was still raw so I added 1 cup of water. Now it is properly cooked.

Good to know, it depends on what kind of rice. That measurement is for Jasmine rice. It perfectly works for us. Thanks.

Hellonice992, yes correct 2 cups brown rice = 4 cups water. The ratio is 1:2. For brown rice, we recommend set the temperature to 200 degrees for 30 mins, if its more than 3 cups set it 40 mins. Else, you can 2x of RIC2. Hope that answers your query. Enjoy!

Hi Ma Analyn, the MP5 inset is an accessories. You can buy it separately from the MP5. Hope it helps.

Hi Ms Helen, please use po the ratio 1 cup of basmati rice to 2 cups of water, then set it to RIC2. Another option is to set the temperature to 200 degrees for 25 minutes. Please let us know for any updates. Thanks.

Hi. We have been using the mp5 fine for 3 years now, but lately the rice is not cooked properly - hindi na gaya ng dati yung rice kasi d siya masyado luto- despite following the instructions. Is there a problem with the unit? We bought the set from you here in Sydney. Thank you

Hi Gene, yes even without an insert, you can set it to RIC1 or RIC2. MP5 Inset is optional.
