Really nice work! Love the camera work and the explanations are very clear and easy to follow. I'm just reading the rule book now, so I'm looking forward to watching this in full to learn more how to play. Great work! :)

It really is what I would consider simple for a war-game. But still fun to play.

Very nice description of what is happening, how and why. A few very nice explanations of not only what you did, but *why*: Example, moving Axis units to block mountain passes instead of charging into an outnumbered situation in an attempt to collapse a beachhead. Bonus points for the fade-in animations of the dice results. Nice touch. Especially appreciated the explanation of how the Germans avoid regular movement and use a different form of movement to get around the halving of their movement potential for Turn 1. Only one "minor quibble": do you *really* need tweezers for this game? Low counter density and oversized counters ... surely you can get your fingers in there? (I always think tweezers look so pretentious... but that's just me, I guess; I just see it as the wargaming equivalent of business productivity software packaging where they **have to have** a pair of glasses on the table in the box shot, as if to suggest that, unless you pull your glasses off, you're not a serious business person 😏) And then, at 17:47, the tweezers actually get in your way when trying to "flip" the firing artillery unit... HA! Overall, great tutorial. Well done.

Stiglr, I was actually just watching your GBACW Tutorials so I can get a handle on my "Into the Woods" game. I also watched your unboxing of that game. Thank you for the very kind words sir. I actually just started using tweezers only because of my fat finger and complete lack of hand control run havoc on the board. I found that when I just use my hand, if there are any pieces close, I almost always hit them over and make a mess of things. I didn't think they look pretentious, but yeah, I could see how that could look that way. You will notice that my fingers were not all that agile when flipping that counter at 17:47. :) Stiglr, You are correct, I made my living as a commercial photographer and in any office shot, there was a pair of glasses on the table. Now of course, in my future videos if you see glasses on the side, well that is on you buddy. Thanks for watching and take care.

@@NerdWorkshop1 I'll look at it as a wry wink! One of my virtual buddies, The Blue Tweezers, has built his entire RU-vid identity around that little bit of kit, and I give him a "pass" on the tweezer criticism just because of that!! :D

That is true, good eye Brian. Yea you are correct it wouldn't make a difference, but I should have had it correct.

Really enjoying your video as I too just got my game and am walking thru the examples in the rulebook. Question: In your attack at 17:15 shouldn't you have selected a MAF? The factors in the other hex should be at half strength as supporting fire. Odds don't change at 1-1 but it should have been 8-6, right?

Thanks bdp! You are correct, I should have, but I think you declare one formation as the MAF which is generally a division, and all of those units are from the 16Pz. I don't think is it just one unit, but I could be wrong about that. The extended example shows that as a 10-6 and I can't find anything in the rules that show it to be different. But if someone knows for sure, please chime in. I am still very new at this game. Thanks for watching

shouldnt the 142/36 american unit have been 2 attack not 4?/half effectiveness?

One little thing I noticed, you forgot to remover the truck marker at the end of the German turn. Please continue with the rest of the moves, thank you.

Great Video, really enjoyed it, my only question is at 27:10, You moved the 645 M-10 Anti-tank unit 2 spaces to 2716 shouldn't it should have stopped at 2616 because of ZOC From the German Unit at 2715? Just asking, I'm wanting to make sure I have the rules down.

all is ok, Read Beach was closed, they land trough Red Beach

Stol is correct the red beach is close and they came in through blue beach and moved in ZOC on second move. But, I should have had them sitting on the Blue Beach square before coming in. So I did create a bit of confusion by that move, that was a good question and catch David.
