It is the second week in December and Salisbury cathedral is preparing for Christmas. Salisbury has the tallest spire in the country, the largest cathedral close, the largest cloisters, the oldest working clock and the best-preserved copy of the Magna Carta. Even a headstone suggesting thata child died three months before it was bor.
I am guided around the cathedral by my brother-in-law who is a chaplain to the cathedral and shown many features that are probably overlooked by a casual visitor.
