I just finished paying off my 5th and final student loan with this predatory company. My advice: DO NOT do any business with Sallie Mae as they are difficult and irritating to deal with. I paid off my last loan online, but when I called to ask when will I receive a mailed letter saying I am officially finished, the agent sounded defeated because Sallie Mae will no longer be getting anymore money from me.

Don’t borrow from Sallie May. Their hard to deal with and keep changing the rate. It’s like a legal loan shark. You never finish paying them.

I know, this guy doesn't know what he is advertising. Sallie Mae sucks ass. All of the reviews they have from the BBB were bought, not earned. They are a bunch of government-backed crooks that hike interests rates through the roof and have absolutely zero give or flexibility when it comes to helping their customers. Don't sign up for autodebt either, because when the promise you a measly 0.25% reduction in your interest rate, it only stays that way for a month and then they raise it an additional 3%. Your autodebt payments will continue to climb from your original specified amount until you cancel it. If you want a student loan, go with someone else and for God's sake GET A FIXED RATE!!!

OK so I have a student loan right now that I’m repaying for my bachelors degree does anyone know if I can add loan for flight training to this or does it count as an undergraduate loan?

Really good and i'd like students loan via sallie mae being i'm not US citizen, i'm international student, always i pursue my dream to study specifically in US, but i don't know how to find US cosigner.

Sallie mae might actually not be for me. I wanted to get a student loan since I can't get a cosigner and I thought I could pay it during my time at university

I just want 100 percent of my ATP loan deferred until signed onto an airline. If they can do that then I’d sign up for flight school

@@TalmSawyer because he’s prolly paid sallinmae is known for being scummy and hard to work with for the sole purpose of being able to overcharge change the interest rate whenever they want and make the interest insanely high. Don’t fall into the scam look up “salli Mae reviews” and just look at peoples experiences I really hope you didn’t take a massive loan from them if you did it’s not the end of the world and life goes on bless.

Hi.. I have Sallie mae loan and have been paying only the interest during school, but maybe because I signed up variable loan rate seems like my interest rate has been fluctuating and now I just noticed it went up 7.6%... from 4.25% when I signed up right b4 the pandemic hit. It was cheaper at that time because they offered the fix interest rate almost 6%... Do you have any great ideas for me ... will I see this % rate fluctuate even higher? I'm afraid the interest rate be like credit card rates.. I really want to be able to get some benefits out when I start paying this loan off... but I think 7.6% rate is high for student loan. Thank you!

Your interest rate is fluctuating depending on how much you are paying for your monthly fees since you are paying while you are in school. This can happen if you've been late by chance, but I would contact them through customer support so they can explain why the sudden high change.

Contacting customer support will not help you. Before you know it, your loan will be at 15% interest rate. That's because you chose the variable interest rate, like me. Please do yourself a favor and refinance with another bank not related to Sallie Mae. Trust me, you will not see any benefits from sticking with this shitty company.

ADA workers were discriminated against, managers displayed actions of deformation of character to colleagues, sexual misconducts were never addressed, systems had several flaws and no real answers, feedback was never welcomed kindly & ambition was frowned upon. People who work at this company are blind and selfish and only care about what’s going to benefit them. This company is predatory, unfair and should not require so much stress from employees and customers. What they said they will never do is teach students that if you take out a loan that it will take you 9 years to basically be paying the actual principal of the loan if you get a certain type of loan paying only the MMP which is a vital piece of information to inform students and parents but they don’t care because the lack of knowledge only benefits them more.

Do not get a sallie mae loan with them. Their customer service sucks really, really bad. And interest rate was really high 13% find other options but not sally mae

Do not listen to this man in the video. He knows not what he is speaking of. Sallie Mae sucks ass and you will be in debt for the next 15-20 years if you go with them. Avoid this predatory company at ALL costs.

That’s why I’m here! Are you a pilot? That’s why I was applying with them to begin with. I can start fight school in a few weeks but can’t get the loan 🤦🏻‍♂️
