valorant has been portraying the people from the 2nd earth (omega) as bad guys trying to destroy and steal all of earth one's resources. this video shows those agents living on their own planet just doing their thing (raze / kj / jet hanging out eating food like normal people) , sage training , omen tending to his little plant lol. Habor and Astra are shown as the invaders. Different perspective.
Basically, in VALORANT there's two worlds with the same people but different environments, that's why in game you fight against copies of your own agent, in this cinematic, we're viewing the whole thing from the perspective of the 2nd earth (Omega earth) which is lacking in radianite and sustainability throughout their world, so they go to the 1st earth (Alpha earth) to steal some radianite from it via the spike, in this cinematic, Fade (the one in the video being from Omega Earth) was trying to get info on where Astra and Harbour was trying to go (Astra and Harbour are from the first earth, Alpha) Also about Sage, KJ, Raze, Jett and Omen, they're in the cinematic to show you the differences between them and their counter-parts from the other earth, we know this because we already know how most of them are actually doing things differently, this clued us in on the fact that we were actually watching the cinematic through the second earth's pov, Omega Earth. Also in game, in every map, Defenders usually play as Alpha agents and Attackers usually play as Omega agents, it's the opposite in Pearl and Lotus though, where the Omega agents defend instead.
@@ronaldmcacorn I feel like the cinematic alone aren’t enough. I love valorant lore but I had to dig kinda deep, for example most of the lore is actually in the maps themselves. Not that it’s a bad thing, I actually love lore hunting on new maps, but the larger audience won’t go to this extent. Therefore most of the valorant community has very limited knowledge of the actual lore. Hope I was clear 😅
@Mr Pablooo I see what you mean. Even I had to brush up on why Astra and Harbor were there, but I don't think any game has put so much of its lore in a single form of media. You're always gonna have to look for it yourself if you want to understand the subplots. These are trailers first and stories second. Even so, checking the range every patch (or just following a lore youtuber) gives good amount of lore, but I understand that most people don't take it that serious. Thanks for the civil discussion :)
I think it’s pretty understandable for the most part as long as you rewatch and pay close attention. You can make a lot of inferences from this cinematic alone and pearl for example. Based off the last cinematic where KJ, viper, and Reyna were transported to omega earth, you can see that the “Valorant Protocol” from alpha earth (the one we’re familiar with) is called Valorant legion on omega (based off the comic books). In the first shot of omen you can see Valorant legion above his head, already indicating this is omega earth. You can also see when fade sent out the message to the other agents that above “activated” (on a mission) and their pictures, harbor and astra were in red (they’re the enemy, and they’re from alpha earth, therefore the ending). There’s also a bunch of lil details that extremely cool to see. We know on alpha omen and sage don’t like each other from their voice lines. It can be seen on omega that that’s not the case. For example when sage got shot and she started healing, omen was immediately alerted due to her “taking life” from somewhere to heal. This is where inferences come in. I think Valorant legion formed much longer than protocol. Bonds are much deeper and they’ve been through much more, thats why radianite is scarce on omega. Also it’s the reason why many agents are praised as seen on Pearl (and in the last cinematic). Sage is also seen to be much less calm here than on alpha. ʅʕ•ᴥ•ʔʃ There is much more lore than what is being shown but I think the cinematics themselves are still very comprehensible albeit not complete. I also never looked up any lore other than a couple comments from comment section of cinematics and my own thoughts. The reason why harbor and astra are there is cause they’re “guardians” or whatnot and that’s from a comment that I read that I didn’t fully understand. ʅʕ•ᴥ•ʔʃ
"complete lack of any and all cohesiveness" Dudeee? Have you watched the same animation I did? They use their tools to unlock a place, and by going in that place they're intruders, and the other team receive an alarm and go to defend it. That's not hard to undertand at all....

They just said valorant tv show but an overwatch TV show is really where it's at. The overwatch lore is super cool and actually cohesive so I think that would be a WAY better plot
