The fact the ENTIRE Docks fight was cut is a CRIME! I do know that Ice Queendom recently got released on Blu-ray, and it's called Final Cut. I don't know if they added scenes, that'd be great.

Seeing Penny again has me both happy and depressed 😊😢

Hopefully RWBY will be able to continue and finish its story

from an anime standpoint however, what they did was very clever. anyone without our context will be extremely curious about who or what penny is and how she did all that damage.. and as most "adaption spinoffs" do well. is that will drive peole to want to get more info on her as a character which brings more traffic to the source material that is Monty Oums work. May he rest in peace

Shion caught the Nightmare Grimm with a weapon based on a dreamcatcher. Funny.

I love the recreation of Weiss' duel with the Boarbatusk...especially the added detail of her dripping with sweat after the final blow and gasping for air...

I liked like 3 quarters of this episode but skipping the Roman fight was criminal.

Animation budgets are real and they would've blown so much of it if they tried to re-create the Docks fight....it's not the story Ice Queendom is interested in telling....they needed their budget for later, to tell their own unique side story.

Yeah, so in case if you haven't figured it out yet, this isn't a complete retelling of the series. It goes in a very different and interesting direction for the rest of the episodes. Hope you get a chance to watch the rest! 👍

NGL, I feel robbed of the fight between Sun/Blake and Torchwick. Hopefully it comes as a flashback or something. And could you imagine, the nightmare Grimm and the apathy Grimm doing a one-two punch??? SHEEESH!!!!

The animation for this show is a mixed bag for me. The animation on the first 3 episodes and last 2 episodes on this show look amazing ! As for the rest of the episodes, I'll let you watch it for yourself......

I feel like this was meant to happen since this show was meant to be for those that already watched the original. I really like the additions to the character interactions that did not get shown ion the show. I do believe that at the end of the show I am look forward to the future of this AU more than the original story not going to lie. The characters at the end of this show is just so much better and entertaining to look at.

Yeah, I figured the lack of the fight might be a detriment. Perhaps if the season had an extra episode it could have squeezed it all in, but the third episode twist tends to be something some of the creators here favor. It is something of a shame, but at least there's so much more goodness to come.

I feel like they could've just cut Jaune's possession by, and rescue from, the Nightmare out of the episode entirely. That way we would've been left in suspense over what the hell was happening with Weiss, which would've payed off with her succumbing to the Nightmare at the end, and then have Shion introduce themself, what their deal is, and what the Nightmare is in the next episode. Conversely, the extra airtime we would've gotten from this could've been used to adapt the dock fight.

I'm somewhat okay with the skipped scenes. Ice Queendom is supposed to slip into the main series and have it just work.

Oh man, I guess those skips were done either to save on run time or because some of these fights are simply a bit too beyond the animators' skill. I don't blame them, if they attempted it and it doesnt translate well, the show or rather the episode will suffer for it. So i guess they just played it safe.

Tbh I liked that they skipped a lot of the stuff. But thats the opinion of someone who only liked the team RWBY part in the Beacon arc

My main dislike of RWBY: Ice Queendom, is that they said they wanted to be both unique, while also writing the story so that even if you've never seen the original show, you can understand and enjoy it. I don't believe it's true for this adaptation at all. RWBY starts their show slow with plenty of basic grimm: birds, wolves, boars, bears, etc. The Nightmare Grimm is one of the first enemies they show in Ice Queendom, and it's such a 'special class grimm'... I don't see it being viable as a VOLUME 1 main threat. We are literally just being introduced to the Grimm, and they START with this insanity? Fighting in your dreams?? From a writing perspective I think it's insane to *start* with this grimm, and especially the fact that they then revolve the story around it. *I am also a believer in Sun Wukong Gunchucks supremacy so the fact that they didn't even try to animate his weapon makes me so sad. My boy got done dirty...

Can you react to the RUBY fan animation that came out last week? Its mind blowing. Its almost like monty came back to life to animate it.

Yeah, Ice Queendom is a good remake of Volume 1 until it isn’t. This show being half Volume 1 and half a unique plot makes the Volume 1 stuff feel undercooked in places.

The speed running and new introduction of Nightmares and this new character is just bogging down the story. As much as I understand, it’s one of the reasons why this specific part of the series is short lived

Recap episodes are great. Everything new and original that follows just wasn't for me.
