Salva Vida from Cervecería Hondureña out of San Pedro Sula, Cortés Department Honduras is unfortunately a subsidiary of the Evil Empire (AB-Inbev) I picked this beer up at the beech bar on Roatán Island Honduras for $5 USD. It was cool to try a "local" beer, but this beer was not anything special. This was a typical Euro Lager with that Euro Lager skunkiness you expect to find in a bottle of Heineken that has been left out in the summer sun for a week. Normally, I would give this beer a skip. I would never buy it in Ohio, but surprisingly it was a great beer for the hot sun of the Honduran beach.
