@@sonofthc4384some of it will be as he kinda did own the stadium so whatever big event that got held at St James’s Park during his horrid reign he’d have had the final say. But also AC/DC weren’t touring with Brian for a while and it’s the artist’s and their touring manager’s who decide where they play.
@@CDCD23-25Brian wouldn’t have taken pay for this,I don’t think. He’d have just been happy in Newcastle supporting local musician’s. Whether he did or not you don’t know unless you were there or know people who were there in the backstage area.
I bet that’s the next one to tick off! This was absolutely epic, but my night was made hearing local hero in the stadium with 50k people there. Football is just too hard to get tickets too
I was there too. Amazing night. My sons first concert in his football teams ground listening to Sam & the legend Brian Johnson. Couldn’t ask for more for his first gig!
Well done Phil. You really deserved this. Used to have lessons with you as a young lad. We even drank the Pheasant pub dry, all underage at the time, when we hired your rig and brought 300 people along. We also supported you at the Deep Club, Rex hotel. Where have the years gone 🎸👍
There has been a lot of talk about the partisan NUFC links throughout the gig (what did people realistically expect from a lad from North Shields living his and millions of others' dreams?) but this all detracts from two things: The absolute brilliance of Sam Fender and the utter technical mastery of this guitar solo. Poignant class as always from Brian. Absolutely exceptional. Bravo.
I was shooting a wedding and he was in our hotel, lovely bloke had a brief chat, he couldnt have any pics because of this and no one knew he was here, but came and to see the bride after for photos, what a legened.
I was thinking maybe they can enlist other famous artists who live acdc and have one or two final massive concerts beamed around the world. Like it would go for 24 hours and every continent has a concert till the final one which should be in Australia at the rock centre of Australia
Ye. Nice to see Brian Johnson. Remember him at the Mayfair in 1980 coming on sitting on a wrecking ball. Can't understand why modern bands/singers think there cool by swearing all the time though !
Isn’t Sam Fender the guy who drank pints with Johnny Depp, and then stabbed him in the back next day? I wouldn’t watch him if he had Jimi Hendrix playing with him live.
