I was 16 when my avm rupture. In the same location as yours in the vision area. I would also say that the sickness made me a better person in some way as you… But i got the gamaknife surgery that took for about 2-3 years to heal.. so stay strong and positive people.. cause things will get better…

Had 1 removed a week ago at age 34 had a big seizure about 3 months ago was out for two days after 12hr surgery and a week of rest I’m feeling a lot better and my brain seems to be working better than ever good luck to u Sam shit is scary thanks for your story god bless ya✌️😂🇦🇺

I have it while i drive then i hit a car but nothing happened then i told My supervisor that’s my vision it’s not working good! I am healthy I never drink smoke hi supplies why I am sick. Then I drive back again to my home 35 miles, I lost the direction I am not able to speak then I get home in the end no accident no anything. After I call my girlfriend she don’t believe that I am sick I went to the emergency they check my eyes everything is OK then no one pay attention to me because I’m like a really super healthy after that I had a coma again and yield in the emergency finally the doctor come and she did the scan on my head she’ll find out that my brain bleeding 7 cm on my left side. Then the helicopter take to me to the hospital 2 AM six hours surgery I am survive thanks God I am healthy because of God and the doctor. Love you guys

Had a dural AVM which was treated by embolisation. Unfortunately the AVM recruited another blood supply and when I was treated again some of the glue refluxed and caused a spinal stroke and has left me with all sorts of complex neurological problems. Interestingly I reckon I had my AVM for at least 20 years. I kept getting head aches and occasional visual disturbances and finally ended up with a cerebral oedema.

I’m currently 12 going through a brain avm recovery I can relate it feels horrible

I'm 16 and I had an avm that was actually in my left leg. Yes my leg, it was in my thigh and it was huge. In March of 2019 I was having a lot of thigh pain, I thought it was nothing at first so i didn't tell anyone about it. But the pain didn't go away. It eventually caused me to limp every day. One day in July of 2019 my dad noticed me limping and asked why so I said I was having leg pain then he and I sat down and he felt both of my legs and felt a huge lump in my left thigh. We didn't quite know what to do at first but I eventually got reffered to an orthopedist and I had an Mri and that's what found the avm. I had an aneurysm inside of mine. So that orthopedist reffered me to an interventional radiologist. I had 2 embolizations done in less than a month at the beginning of the year then blocking off the avm resulted in a blood clot forming in my leg so then I had a thrombectomy. Then a few months later I had a ct scan done and some new veins had attached to the avm so a few weeks ago I had another embolization to block those veins off. So this year I've had 4 surgical procedures all because of the avm

I just had mine last week while driving a bus, it's some scary stuff. No one was hurt and I am waiting to see if I still have a career.

Good to hear stories here that u all survived, but apparently My son had a ruptured AVM a month ago and he died. I dnt know, maybe my son’s case was really severe that he ddnt make it to surgery.. it supposed to be a chrstmas vacation but it’s the other way around. I just hope i could ask Him why..

I’m having surgery the end of February, I just wish I had somebody to talk to. SHIT! I can’t keep talking about this shit to my kids. After this surgery I’m making friends seriously! I’m dealing with this shit alone. I’m a THUG I’ll be fine

My daughter had an AVM and she had the Craneotemy to remove it it was located in the language area of the beain.She suffers from severe headaches and has has seizures since. Surgery was oct 2017. Can't seem to find support for her as to who she can talk to to relate on this. Are headache common seizures does it ever go away? 😥It kills me to see her suffer and pple just don't get it. She had good day and there are those days where its just bad...💔

Dear Health Team, A recent exam done for my son to ascertain the status of his brain health after bouts of seizures . He had a decompressive craniectomy to allow for brain swelling to resolve then on the 17th of March 2020. The doctor at the time diagnosed an Arteriovenous malformation which is yet to be addressed. M What options do you feel we can follow? We are in Nigeria.
