At 16:10 Jim Lampley says that "Lennox Lewis along with Rocky Marciano are the only 2 Heavyweight Champions to defeat every opponent they ever faced" at 16:37 Max Kellerman adds "Gene Tunney only lost to Harry Greb but defeated him in a rematch so he's a third"....... Gene Tunney fought to a no contest with Jack Renault in 1923 they never had a rematch.
True, but also Ingemar Johansson only lost to Floyd Patterson, whom he beat in their first fight and Riddick Bowe only lost to Holyfield, whom he defeated 2/3 times. Lennox Lewis for some reason is always getting credited with this accolade but nobody else.
Elems 187 absolutely correct. Open scoring is no good for the sport. Peter literally retired on the stool the second he heard he was so far behind aganst Vitali in Berlin. I was at that fight live and Peter was listening to advice until he heard the scores and then said 'stop it.' When you're fighting it's hard to know exactly what's being observed. Open scoring destroys the anticipation of the fighters rather than that of the fans
@@patriceaqa288 I think it should just be open scoring to the viewing audience at home. Let us see at 6 rounds who is winning officially. Don’t tell the fighters
@@theodorerobert6774 I agree. The Peter Klitschko fight being the perfect example. 'If I can't knock him out then I have to win four rounds straight and 'even' if I do I'll still lose on points.'
This would be the peak for Peter...all down hill after this unfortunately...he got better a bit heading into this bout...but his conditioning was always an issue..I noticed that when he was fighting guys around his height, he excelled..when he stepped up against the taller, more skilled fighters, the klit brothers, he was dead in the water...he was exciting for awhile anyway !!
I saw Peter knock Wlad down 3 times in their fight and Wlad didn't knock him down any. I don't see how they could give the fight to Wlad; to me the knockdowns are more meaningful than shots scored.
@@walterburch2341 sry, thats bs, cause peter did win at least 4 rounds, and thats 113-112 for the big fella. and klit did buckle peters legs big time in the 12th and final round. almost knocked him down and won the round such big, that you could give it a 10-8! and at least one of the 3 kd was a glassclear rabbit punch mixed push. no way peter won that one. but he was competitive and gave it a big fight. after the klit fight he lost some goods. got nailed by mccline and barely survived. peter had a good but short lived run at the big time.
Horrid commentary from Emmanuel Steward as usual. He said that he thought Peter was going to get sloppy as the fight went on- great prediction Emmanuel! 😂🤣
Если бы Маскаева грамотно вели его карьера сложилась бы по другому , но даже при таких раскладах пояс взял потому что 2 раза пытались скормить Рахману 😂
He should be named Peter the Rabbit. Peter is one of the worst offenders when it comes to rabbit punching, especially when he has a hard time hitting an opponent, you can see him deliberately targeting the back of the head.
What the hell u talking about. Watch the first fight. Then the second. First fight Peter put Klitschko down and had him on the retreat to avoid a ko loss. No fighting in a manner to dominate. Klitschko was in survival mode. Second fight Klitschko established dominance
@@random_birch_forest ok I see, that's who you were referring too. I stand corrected. Vitali did Peter the business. Which honestly made me consider that he had the better skills of the 2 brothers
Маскаев был специалист по Рахману. Из всех топов, с которыми дрался, побил только Рахмана, даже 2 раза. Во второй раз даже стал мировым чемпом ровно до следующего боя.
