Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman met with the media following Arkansas' 48-14 loss to Missouri in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville on Friday.

Twelve games into this season and Pittman is still saying "I don't know." What a disaster of a season. I have no faith whatsoever he will make us better next year. It's been downhill ever since we started 4-0 in 2021. Since beating the Aggies that year, we've gone 16-18 overall and 7-16 in the SEC. The last half of this season, in particular, was a major regression. It will take strategic, cultural, organizational, and coaching abilities far above Pittman's capabilities to turn this around. Two of our first 4 games next year are at Oklahoma State and the Aggies in JerryWorld. We lose Bama from the schedule but get UT. FL replaced with TN. If we go 6-6 next year, that'll be amazing. But even going 6-6 isn't going to happen unless Pittman stops saying "I don't know" and figures out WTF he's doing. And what are the odds of THAT happening? Sidenote: and to top off this lousy day for Arkansas sports, what is with the basketball team? Three losses in the last 4 games and with Duke coming to town next Wed, we're looking at 4-4. I get that it's not even December but this is NOT how I was expecting the season to start. I need another drink...

Why do we play poorly at home? Sam: IDK Answer: Team isn't focused and our pregame prep from Friday should be like an away game to help with that. Why did we lose so many 1 score games? Sam: IDK Answer: Poor game management by the coach. Leaving points on the field, bad timeouts, bad play calls in critical moments, and undisciplined play. At least Chad Morris knew he was not up to task as the head coach, but Pittman has assured himself a good retirement.

We don’t even consider him as a candidate and hire Pitt. After 4 years they are 10-2 and hogs are 4-8. Arkansas hiring assessment did not even reach out to Drink. That is not at all what I read. They did try to interview him at his house in Boone,NC. But he turned us down because he wanted to go to Mizzou. Now I can't prove that I admit It.

Okay, couch AD, please feel free to expound on your extensive knowledge here. Enlighten the rest of us idiots as to what other head coaching options Hunter could bring in that would be both realistic and actually a legitimate possibility to take this job. Pittman wasn't the problem, and our AD has more than proved his proficiency at his job. Jefferson absolutely killed his NFL draft stock this season because of this year's regression. A complete coaching overhaul every four years is not the answer, genius... This year was a very unique one, in which we lost three games to ranked SEC opponents on the road, tow by a field goal and another by a TD. There's no excuse for BYU, A&M, Miss State, and this Auburn game was exactly what everybody who has half a brain in regards to CFB played out exactly as expected, if not even worse having a VERY capable and talented Jacoby Criswell have to step in and fill KJ's shoes with the same lackluster O-line that has plagued us all season. We won't know shit about what this team will look like next year until we found out who is leaving and staying, but it all starts in the trenches -- the key to football is running the ball and stopping the run. That means it all starts in the trenches. There's no reason we can't pay out the money for a top tier OC, and hit the portal to fill the voids and add the depth we need. If you want to put the blame on anyone, fire Sam's buddy the O-line couch and fix the damn problems. But, by all means, I'd love to hear your immediate solution and how replacing the head coach and the entire coaching staff would result in turning things around in under 2-3 years -- especially with TX and OU coming into the SEC next season.

The players don't even know the basics. No discipline to stay onsides, no discipline to cover a receiver, no understanding who blocks the guy running free to the QB... hell, they should blow the whistle for the guy being unabated to the QB, it's that bad.

based on the trend from 8 (9) to 6 (7) to 4 wins in a season which stands to reason next year will be less wins so probably 1 win next year since the trend skips at least 2 minimum.

Talks about an OC like it will it will be his salvation. Never heard a football coach as fervently exude that attitude. Most head coaches shoulder full responsibility and would only every publicly lightly gloss over the responsibilities of their assistance coaches. Just another big coaching flaw with Pittman. This team went 7-6 with a lot of poor performances in games with Briles & Odom in 2022. I see nothing to get excited about with Pittman in the future. Just mediocrity at best.

I don't know where you are from. You want a 4-8 season next year for that program? I had hope after the 9-4 season but never had a lot of faith in Pittman. That 9-4 team was full of 5th & 6th year seniors. A team bails out in the transfer portal after these type seasons these days. Just a bad scenario like being stuck in muddy ditch with coaches like Pittman in this new age. Not much chance of a good season next year with any coach. He should have been fired two weeks ago to set a new course for the program.
Worst Razorback football team of all time. I tried supporting Sam after Auburn because he has an awful roster but you can’t defend this. Mizzou let us score 14 because they felt bad. We earned 0 points. Every single person in this program needs to be let go immediately, including the players.
