I stumbled into this 'Freak of Nature" a couple of months ago in Cloverdale California. I stood in front of the stage, less than 5 feet away from her for hours. By the time it was over I felt I had been in a tornado, hurricane, tsunami, blizzard, heaven, hell and outer space. She tore my heart out then gently put it back like only a skilled surgeon could manage. Thank God!, I was able to get some really good video of her show, otherwise, nobody would believe my story. I've been in and around the music industry for over 50 years, and never seen or heard anything so utterly profound. May sound crazy but I still get a lump in my throat when I watch those clips I recorded. Get to see her again (third row seats) in Jackson, Ca. on the 9th of December. Of course,.....I'm counting the seconds, tick tok tick tok tick tok. "You Go Girl". Brian
Samantha is a bit rare these days amongst blues singers and guitar players. She actually puts her heart and soul into her expression, rather than playing lots of notes, flash, and attention seeking, the song is expressed with passion and feeling. It is raw and 'unpolished' in some respects, but is real. Thanks Samantha for honest blues.
People who say shit like this have dead ears or dead brains. Like, who the hell are you to gatekeep what heart, soul, and expression are supposed to be?
i fell up on this by accident - what a great accident of fate. great voice, great stage presence, great licks, and some great songs. It was my pleasure to be introduced to Ms Fish, albeit quite accidentally. Kudos to the band!
She is one of my favorite yutube artists. She's really bringing it right now I hope she can keep her self clean the Blues when you really feel it can be intoxicating but a lot of great Blues musicians have died from it. It's a really fine line and I hope she walks it well to have a long career. I like the addition of the horns especially the baritone sax it's such a Soulful sound. I have a friend who plays it very well getting to gym with him is the most fun I have. Keep it up Samantha I wish you all the success in the world
This is just an amazing performance. This is what has been missing from the music scene for us old school rockers! Thank you Samantha Fish for all of your hard work!
Holy sh!t!!!!!..I have never been so impressed by a style, the way she presents the vocals, the slow groove!!!..Why haven't I ever heard of this woman before!!!! Dayum!!! Never stop what you're doing Samantha Fish...Modern day old school!!
She has to be one of the most amazing live performers ever! If you watch all the videos from over the years they're all good! A lot of people who are famous and played often on the radio still can't put on a live show that's this impressive!
She’s one of my favorites on the circuit. She’s very humble in her interviews. Really like her vocals and her playing just gets stronger with every video I see. I guess it helps a little that her looks could stop a pocket watch. It could be summed up as the best of all things.
I keep finding new videos. I think I have everything she’s done. Waiting for new release due September 2021. Just an amazing player, and when she uses different pedals-a whole different game-outstanding
It makes my guts suck up into my Molars and my eyes gush. When I seen her about 3 years ago I felt just like this. No band has ever made me feel this way.
Inspiring to a 64 year old San Francisco Bay Area native that has seen them all since the late 60's. She would steal the show even if she was fully covered in a potato sack! This is real! ~The Old Geezer Greg~
Never bored listening, seeing the Queen herself - her looks, voice, the talent she has, they have - her very soul we feel in watching this, now once again for me, and over and over again..
I'm 57, catchin' you up... the great thing about Samantha Fish is she's always pushing herself technically - might not be as flashy or knowledgeable as others, but she seems 'better' for it because she really plays from the heart like it's rare to hear, these or any other days... Wow !
@@guyac01 She plays the blues with heartfelt passion! Don't need flashy to enhance the music. I can think of a couple current young blues folks that are into the flashy stuff, but it's frankly a big distraction. For another young blues guitar player with passion, go check out Krista Hess ( a musical friend of Samantha's)--her soul just drips from the guitar!
michael cates. She is the best female blues guitarist I've ever seen ! She's got the whole thing ! Talent ! Showmanship ! Songwriting ! .....etc......etc.....etc.
Damn I be62 years old...And that girl moved me me in body and mind. Which is brilliant on so many levels... Thank you, please grow and evolve and find your peace of mind. If you are really lucky.
On may 23 I will see this extremely talented and beautiful lady in Amsterdam. I am sure it will be the best live concert I ever attended. She gives me goosebumps every time I listen to her. Love you Samantha !
Freakin AWESOME! Absotively Freakin AWESOME! This gal is on fire! She rocks that guitar into submission! The guys in the band are not to be forgotten! You folks just drive it home with the music! Keep it up girl an you'll have set the world on fire!!
Amazing - just discovered this video and its online over a year now! Mmmhh - i Was there that evening in Dortmund and was lucky to see a great band with the outstanding Samantha! After the show she wrote autograms and I had a nice short talk with her - just a wonderful and kind person! We thought we would never see her again in this little nice location. BUT after beeing with Joe Bonamssa on the "Blues-Ship" we meet her again in this place - in May 2019 - Tickets are already ordered! See you Samantha!
Damn...28 years old and already a master of the slow-burn! And when she finally cuts loose on that axe...well, she whips that thing like it owes her money! Samantha, you just continue to set the bar even higher...
Comparisons won't work .I contemplated that. Samantha's voice is a gift and her guitar playing ability is pure dedication to a love of music. She's a unique artist and individual.
Have now seen this, what, too many times to count. But love this, I do. And her. Oh my. What a performer. No wonder national outlets ignore her, she's too, too -- over the top!' And excellent!
What a voice and sooooo much talent! My wife and I love going to see her in concert. Can't wait to catch her again at the ORH in St. Louis MO on Dec. 30! See has come a long way since I first saw her in 2014. Keep rocking it Samantha! Love you and your band!
I wonder how much her new look was HER idea or the record label's. Kinda seems that with her new hair and Chris doing the manbun thing, it may have been management's or the label's idea, not hers. I'd prefer she go long hair again, preferably red.
Much preferred the tone of her SG over whatever the other guitar was. But she could've played her niece's First Act and made this set sound outstanding, what a performance.
Samantha is incredible! Much success to her and the band for being “fresh and different” in this world of pop shit and c(rap) that fills people’s heads!
Definitely reignited my passion for rock n roll/blues! Yep, you keep on with phenomenal vocals and great guitar work, Samantha. Looking forward to the next live performance.
Amazing player, so good - she plays, she sings, great stagecraft. She has it dialed. And she plays great acoustic, too - I wish there was room for more of that, too.....so much talent!
WOW !! Can't say enough. Absolutely beautiful. Fantastic entertainer. She just overflows with talent! I've seen her show twice now and she has risen to be my favorite singer/musician. With that said, she also has the most beautifully sculptured legs around!
This is the first time I have heard free jazz improv patterned on motifs from around the world . I like it , especially the way you incorporated it with American blues & rock .
I Hope she doesn't fall into any of the World's dark temptations .. She is a Humble and Down to Earth LADY .. And I really HOPE SHE MAKES IT BIG ...!!!!
Gritty yet emotional & sensual, as always, wow! Some really skilled and sensitive play & work on the sound giving birth to a lasting beautiful musical moment in the second tune, magical wonder... woman sure can make music!
Refreshing also is someone not playing yet another PRS. Yay...... chics FINALLY cultivating what they've always had, coming out all unique, not cloning but tapping their very marrow. The awesome power of the understated guitar solo!!!! If this was a dude he'd be ragged upon for not ripping and shredding at lightspeed. This chic was born for this. DAMN I'm glad I stumbled upon this treasure. THANKS Fritz Krüger
bob wilson Erm... no it isn’t. It’s a Delaney. The headstock looks a little PRS inspired but it’s clearly not the same and the rest of the guitar is nothing like a PRS. Check out the Delaney website... Samantha Fish is even listed on the artists page. 🤷🏼♂️ Maybe before you tell someone they’re wrong do the research first to be sure.
