Hi Chris, great to see deer on trail cam. If I am right with where I think the forest is, I have see Samba and fellow there while the area was still closed when is was working on the fire cleaning up.

Yes it's amazing how quickly nature can bounce back, though in these burnt forest, we really need to help them out by replanting
@Thehuntsmanshow
@Thehuntsmanshow Месяц назад
That's true. Replanting can also help keep the weeds and bracken out.

Another great video, you can really pick the spots. Hopefully the bush comes back properly soon in that forest

I hope so too Patrick! Thank you for the comment.

This reminds me of the Ben Major burn. I looked through there in 2018/19. It was slowly coming back as it was a very hot fire and there wasn't anything to hold the Sambar so all marks were passing through. Nice to see it coming back

Bush fires suck. But the good news is that the bush can come back pretty quickly. The issue, as you've identified, is if the larger animals like derr, goats and piga can come back. In state forests surrounded by farmland they literally have no choice but to leave and risk it, only to be shot in the paddock. Sucks.

That’s awesome been looking at getting another trail cam can you check them on your phone from home

Hi Kenny. Unfortunately you can't on this one. It's just the wifi feature that lets you access the images via your phone when you're close enough to the device. They might have a cellular version though. I don't have much experience with trail cams so take my advice with a grain of salt. While cellular ones are good, you end up paying for it even when it is not really doing anything. You also need to make sure the cellular service you go with has a good signal in the area you place the camera. Which basically means you need to go with one of the expensive networks like Telstra. Even then, there is no guarantee that you'll have a signal in the spot you put the camera. Especially if it's a remote location. Just some thoughts :) thanks for the comment.

Cellular versions are available. Ensure compatibility with the relevant networks.

sounds like ya mate who gave ur first trail cam pin was a stitch up. over the years ive had hunters wave at my cameras. I do the same if I see 1. just like a crab pot, or someones camping gear you don't touch. True aussies respect what your doing. keep it up mate

You could be right. Either that or it was a terrible recommendation. Spot on about the defining characteristic of a true Aussie. Respect and kindness. It's not hard. Thanks for your encouragement Jordy :)

I had a card taken out of my first camera just as I started to track a big stag. To say that pissed me off the least. My plan was to put a camera there again like it was with a SD card infected with some sort of computer shut down virus 😂 so at least if it got taken I would get the last laugh. But in other luck I scored a private property never returned to my shitty over run public land

That's such a dog act, stealing an SD card. I know some hunters who will take out and SD card, copy it's contents to their phone then put it back in the camera... Not sure how I feel about that, but at least it's not getting stolen like yours. Geeeez.

@@Thehuntsmanshow I would of been happy for them to copy the content that’s fine I do possibly recon as he was a decent fella they got the shit I knew he was there, spose some people never got taught manners hey

Very true. I fear it's only getting worse too. As for copying the SD card, i mean, they already know the spot right? They may as well have the pics too.
