EASE- Demi TRANSITION- Morissette. Her vocal transition from note to note is so smooth. UPPER BELTS - Demi but she sounds screechy RESONANCE- Morissette. I'm living for her resonance ARTISTIC CHOICE- Morissette. She knows how to break the songs and add a flavor on it VOCAL QUALITY - Both but i prefer Morissette's vocal quality. CONCLUSION: The comparison is so bad. Demi is singing her whole life in the concert while Morissette is chilling and singing while sitting in her bedroom.
Well, I don't know what you heard or listened to. But it is so obvious that Morissette does all this with ease, and it sounds so much better and more pleasant, because not only is she the far better singer (remearkably wider range, unreached tone, technically perfect execution...). What Demi does is pure screaming. It's shrill, it's unpleasant to listen to, it's not at all with ease. She is struggling and straining all the way. So in any aspect Morissette is worlds better, maybe except for songwriting, because Demi has written some amazing pieces.
Just because it's Demi songs doesn't mean she's better than Morissette as a vocalist. Morissette ate her for breakfast. Morissette murdering the songs while multitasking in the most random settings prove that she's a better vocalist than Demi. Even vocal nerds and vocal coaches would never agree with you 😂 Demi's tessitura are higher than Morissette ofc her upper belts sounds better but that doesn't mean she's a better vocalist. Sometimes her upper belts are strained and she sounds screechy. On the other hand, Morissette's low notes and mid belts are better than Demi, more rounder, fuller and develop. Morissette doesn't need to use a voice enhancer as well because she knows how to manipulate and equalize her sounds 🤭
Btw, The stone cold one was from 2015 where Demi was using most of her chest voice that time. I was gonna use the Honda civic one but I thought that one was more emotional so.. And also the skyscraper one I was gonna use the A very demi holiday performance but I LITERALLY FORGOT LOL. Those videos of Morrissette weren't even serious and just pure jamming. But judging them as Vocalist (if you know both of them). Morissette definitely is the better one. Both of them are bad in upper registers lol. There's nothing woth praising F#5 and above. However, due to Morissette's technique she can maintain her tonality till E5/F5 thus she doesn't sound that screechy. Both are good though. I ain't saying Demi is bad. Just basing it to their live performances.
