I'm glad they did this song at the right time.. Now its 2023.. Lori never got over the love she had for her first husband Keith Whitley.. She was so much in love with him. It broke her wen she found out he took his life... It took Lori a long time to get her life back on track.
I don't think we ever actually "get over" losses like that.... the saying is "time heals"... to a certain extent, its true, in that it allows wounds to heal & time for us to accept & understand the loss & learn to deal with it... I lost my Dad 11 years ago & I still miss & love him as much as the day he passed away... I can't wait to see him again in Heaven.... & that's the key... Hope!... I agree. They were the 90s version of George Jones & Tammy Wynette. They were each others ideal duet partner, were an item & then it fell apart. It is too bad. They have always been 2 of the greatest singers, songwriters & entertainers ever. Sammy does an amazing job singing George Jones & Lorrie could do Tammy with no problem. If there was ever a movie about George & Tammy, these 2 would be the ideal choice & only choice in my mind to play them. This duet should be in the Hall of Fame as one of the Greatest Country Duets of all time. I am sure that many will agree with me. :)
I agree. Today’s Country music is to much hip hip type. There is another channel for that crap. This is classic real life stuff going on the world today.
Both are incredibly talented and their music separate and together is magical. I just adore them both. Besides the exceptional music, they're both absolutely beautiful in their looks! I've always thought Lorrie Morgan has one of the most beautiful voices I've heard. I wish she could make a comeback to where she was in the 80s-90s and get some radio time. I met her once at an album signing in '88 or '89, beautiful and classy lady.

You can get lost in his eyes, a beautiful man! Lorrie is a very beautiful, gorgeous woman and both are amazing in their duets, spectacular voices blended together. It was noted Lorrie's voice is similar to Tammy Wynette's, and everyone knows how Sammy feels about George Jones, his hero. Anyway, two beautiful people, two genuine country artists who left us with this beautiful song (and a few others) despite the fact that they're no longer together. They were great friends before..I had a "friend" like this once. She and I to this day remain really great friends. But things "change". We dont "talk-talk" too much anymore, not the same way we use to. This song wraps up all the "coulda-beens, shoulda-beens and woulda-beens" of "Life" into one sick twist of Fate/Destiny". I don't think any song in country music best sums up the angst when such close relationships fade...

Lorrie i transcends genre. I know, because I was a jazz fusion guitarists & I couldn't get enough of her I was lucky enough to see her twice at the Starlight Theater, in Latham New York, which had a rotating stage - 360 degrees.. One of her guitarists traded in a custom Keith Roscoe telecaster for a vintage Les Paul at our ocal music store. I had to have it, and I bought it. When they made her, they broke the mold. I have always considered her country music royalty. Hope she's okay.
