Samosa recipe with a stuffing of Aloo. Step by step images and video in hindi starting with Samosa dough. Crisp fried Samosa has 300 calories punjabi style.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aloo Samosa Recipe Video in Hindi with English Subtitles.
Samosa is one dish that is bound to bring water in your mouth. Recall the taste of the street Halwai’s hot aloo samosas that we normally have with evening tea.
You can’t simply buy those moments and for everything else you have your master card!!
Well, we cannot create the magic of Samosa time gossip at your backyard, but can certainly help you re-create the street side aloo samosa taste at home.
We recently moved to USA and Samosa is what is missed the most.
We have visited our relatives in New York and they and have treated ourselves with the fresh Aloo Samosas, made in Indian hub there called Edison (in New Jersey). They were not that perfect but were made fresh and they did spark a taste bud in the mouth, enough to motivate us for this home made recipe.
We have also gone ahead with our experiments to enjoy the Maggi Samosa and Cheese Samosa.
This is a simple and easy recipe of punjabi style Aloo Samosa for your chirpy kitty parties.

If you will follow the suggestions given in the video i hope your problem will be solved... Fry them on low-medium flame only, & knead the dough for atleast 5 minutes and keep it aside for atleast 20-30minutes. Hope this will help.

Thanks for trying out my recipe.. there are two possibilities for uncooked samosa: 1. do not roll it very thick. 2. fry it on low flame only if you are using gsa stove and if you are using electric stove than keep it between low medium... hope this will help

I tried it 4-5 times before as well and failed, however, you have described the method very well specially that thing (medium flame) I use to fry samosa's on high flame and that always caused them dark color (jale huye undar se kache) and now they are beautiful in color and undar se mast pakke huye. Thanks for wonderful video and I have subscribed your channel and will try your gulab jamun recipe next Sunday. God bless you and Mr. Anil... Keep up the great job !

Hi Maahiji, Thanks for the beautiful recipes. You explain very well. Could the samosas be baked in a convectional microwave oven just to avoid frying it? If yes at what temperature and for how long? Thanks. Take care & God bless.

I see that you use oil with the flour to make the skin crispy. Is it vegetable or canola oil. Some experts suggest to use ghee ( clarified butter) instead of oil. Does it make any difference between using ghee or oil?

One Samosa contains about 30g of fat! Samosa is one of the leading causes of obesity and heart issues among Indians, The FDA should ban this nasty, high trans-fat, unhealthy snack. Please share recipe for baked samosas instead.
@SpotAnilGupta
@SpotAnilGupta 10 лет назад
Hey Sunny...your thoughts are nice. But, banning any food item just because it has high fat does not make a good point. I think, it should be left on the individual choice to eat it or not. As a matter of fact, there are many more fatty delicacies served in America than Samosa! It can't even stand in front of Fried Sneakers, Fried butter and other such items on menu here. Anyways, your thoughts about healthy food are appreciated. Once should eat these selectively to have a healthy diet.

@Inhouserecipes 10 лет назад
Hi Suddhabed, Thanks for watching and liking my recipe. I would suggest you to fry samosas in vegetable oil or desi ghee. They can be fried in any oil of your choice. But as you have suggested mustard oil that has some really powerful aroma which many people do not like. So i would say avoid using mustard oil. Hope you try this recipe and enjoy as well. Thank you #inHouseRecipes

hi.. the samosas were very tasty but the thing is that my samosas were getting pimples all over in spite of cooking on low flame and also i made sure that the oil was properly heated up...the skin of the samosas were not soft enough rather they were tasting like mathri.. the stufing was although completely fine.. i was having problem in frying them so i would request you to pls elaborate that part.. thnq :)
@Inhouserecipes
@Inhouserecipes 9 лет назад
deepali mahendru Hi Deepali, First of all would like to thank you for trying out my recipe.. It seems you have interest in cooking. I would request you to try this recipe one more time with the same set of ingredients shown in the video and written in the recipe. Sometime the proportion of ingredients makes or brakes the recipe..so i would suggest here to try it one more time. Do watch the video very carefully please. There can be one of the reason for failure; One which you already said, the temperature of Oil. It has to be at the right temperature to fry perfect samosas. - Heat Oil on high flame then turn the stove to medium/low flame after 5 minutes of heating on high flame. - Let it heat up on medium flame for about another 5 minutes. Do not hurry to put Samosas in it other wise he result will be same as you get this time. - Fry the Samosas on low flame until they achieve golden brown color from all sides. Second is the samosa dough. So i think the dough may have some issue in it. - Do add the right set of ingredients in the dough. - Do not add anything little extra or little less then what is there in the recipe. - Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes. - Knead and make the smooth dough. Hope these tips will help you make perfect samosa. Keep watching and cooking with us. Maahi

+ragesh s We have used normal vegetable cooking oil. You can use any one as per your preference. Amchur powder is also known as Mango powder. If you are outside India, you can get it any Indian grocery store. If you are in India, try any grocery or spices store. It is light brown in color.
