paul Kind of toxic no? Also he barely uses Foxes, counterpicking to Leffen and (sometimes) HBox doesnt make him a Fox main in my eyes. Yes I know this is comment is old but meh
I fell into such a deep trance of entertainment while watching this. I forgot I was only watching a clip of what's coming. Samox you're a fucking legend
The storytelling here, using Hax as a parallel for Armada to foreshadow how Armada would also make the switch to Fox shortly after this tournament, is actually incredible. There's so much nuance in this 15-20 minute clip alone that it excites me to no end to see Metagame in its entirety.
I am ridiculously excited to watch the final product, but I am still willing to wait for it no matter how long it takes, considering it’s completely free.
Dang...first we got to hear from PP and now Samox! I’ve never been so happy to see these videos in my sub box...and in the same week too! Bless up samox
Mike E when you surround a word in *'s it goes bold. So he meant to say fucking and typed F * * * * * * * but it came out as F****** because the *'s disappear and make the other *'s bold Hax *FUCKING* $$$ babyyyyy
In terms of editing this was super clean, it even had Twixtor on the slow motion parts. I loved the original Smash Brothers documentary can't wait for when it's finished to hopefully inspire another generation.
rewatching old metagame vids after the last update and this is so impressive. I remember watching this for the first time and thinking it was good but I'm much more impressed this watch. The parallel implied between armada and hax in their character dilemmas is great. I like the vintage video game style of the graphic design, and the production value is just amazing otherwise. I like the attention brought to showing ordinary smashers enjoying their car-ride/going out to a tournament, the video felt like it flowed very well to me, and the segment showing the distinction between the neutral/punish was cool as well. Can't wait to see the final product!
Wow wow wow. If this is the quality we can expect from the rest of the documentary, it's gonna blow The Smash Brothers out of the water. Beautiful editing and direction, also hope to see more memes throughout the finished product.
Please, don't rush it. I'm not saying this because of the end result quality, but for your health and wellbeing. You've done so much good for the melee comunity, more than what we could have asked from an entire studios, let alone from a single, infinitely talented (and well tasted in music choice) dude. I will thank you in advance for the final product, no matter how good it will turn out, knowing you, it will be of unmessurable quality. Even if it came out to be bad, the sheer amout of effort and time you've put into all this makes you a legend in my eyes. Thank you for your dedication, and thank you for taking your time.
THIS IS AMAZING! I can not wait for the full thing (but really I can). Keep uo the amazing work man! And thank you for making these amazing pieces of smash history.
you turned a game that came out 17 years ago look so clean in this amazing footage that you showed us, I can't wait for the doc to come out. Keep it up!
Shiiiiiiit dude I can't even believe it. I can't even believe it. Definetely you're my favourite game documentary producer ever. All you touch is gold duuuuude
I've been waiting for an update since the original trailer came out last year, and if this update is even just a small fraction of what's coming, I'm super excited. Sound track is also just as good as the last documentary! Keep up the work Samox, can't wait to see this when it comes out! c:
I feel this cut here was better than what was in the final cut. Some sorta nuance here that is lacking from the actual episode, would’ve been cool to see the beginning with Mattdotzeb and that final match again too.
Looks amazing so far! Only critique from me are that I’m not a personal fan of the blueish filter. Love how Armada and Hax are featured in this, and how we see familiar faces from the previous documentary. Good luck!
The Smash Bros that's probably my most favorite documentary I've watched it three or four times...lol looking forward to a new one hope you finish it soon
the 'blurring' serves a very unique and helpful purpose. The it helps explain the neutral game and punish game transition is amazing. i love it i think even new players will understand what's happening there. also, the actual match narrative is without the effects, so it's all good
