You absolutely killed this beat tutorial. Flawless . I learned so much on getting a solid work flow to actually complete beats . Always learn new techniques like getting the sample to line up perfect with drums. I'm definitely gonna need a part 2 to this one .
sounds like the sample used in "if heaven was a mile away" by Nas , this is fire fam. Youre helping me get a steady workflow w my new MPC Live 2 with ease!
Man, you’re really humble. Your beats sound incredible. You got me ready to get on my live II and drop some ILL Boombap sh*t! Great video. Your videos have helped me learn my newly purchased MPC Live 2.
Bro I just got my MPC one plus not even a week in and I was so frustrated with it. You’re videos help me a lot , you keep it simple and straightward. I’ve been producing music for over 23 years now. Started with FL Studio then converted to Reason 4 lol so yes I’ve been missing this it’s so rich, thick and analog sounding I will never turn back now lol.. Thanks bro your beats is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and one more thing I noticed on a couple of videos you would sample into the MPC and hit the pads at the same time ,do you have a video on that? Thanks bro word!!
I’m digging all your videos. Learning a lot and I appreciate all the tips. Was wondering if you can make a tutorial video on smoothing out the end of the chops. Sometimes the chops end to soon or do not transition smooth from one chop to the next. Thanks!
Oh man brother, thank you so much for taking the time and dropping by. Congrats on your new MPC, I’m sure you’re gonna love it as you get more and more comfortable with it. Much love and blessings to you
Hey Jason, thank you so much my brother really means a lot I appreciate you taking the time and sharing this input. Trust me if I don’t think you’ll be disappointed
I highly appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and sharing this feedback, this really means a lot brother. Blessings to you and thank you for the support
Thanks for this video 🙏🏿 I haven’t attempted to sample since I got mine mid last year but this workflow has been super insightful for me to attempt a sample type beat with my Live 2 🙌🏿
Overdope vid bro!!!!!!!!! Great info as well, I need to use that sample tail edit more often.. Yes the Marco Polo kits are absolute fire, both are... Lastly the beat was utter FLAMES!!!!!!!!
Yo this is Fire. Can u do a Video where u explain the easy chopping Mode u did in this video ? U set the Chops live when the Sample was playing, would love to Know How. Thanks Bro keep up the nice work 👊
I have not, but I’m sure it’s gonna be great. I really enjoyed his volume one and volume 2 but if I had to pick one, I will stick with volume two. Thank you for letting me know. I might give volume three shot very soon.
How you liking the live 2? Saw that you had the One and and I been thinking about upgrading (keeping the One tho) but I don’t think I can get used to the lack of buttons.
This is a great question, I just figured out how to do it after watching this video by Sam Poetry here’s a link where he shows how to do it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Wj5UxIcmUNY.html
@@Kickdrum00 what do you mean? From what I understand, these samples aren't used in/for "comercial" beat, even though they're "royalty" free. I wouldn't risk spending resources on it. I would used the drums themselves and the basslines in this case, pretty well chopped up.
Hey I know this is an old video now but just a question to anyone, what do you have your input volume at on the mpc on the backside? Also what is the output at? I'm talking about those little volume knobs on the back on the mpc. I'm trying to gain stage and I am just wondering what everyone else has theirs at for a good volume to sample at and a good volume to output with considering the drums need to be lower pretty often?
I vouch for it, it’s 100% hip-hop approved lol joking aside anything from Marco polo is on my top list he’s got amazing stuff you won’t be disappointed for boombap style of hip-hop.
how did you get the artwork on when loading them I see that they can be uploaded with a folder artwork mine never seems to do that I always have to go to my sound card to load them
Hey Martin, I had a similar issue as yours a while back but now I just create a parent folder on my SD card labeled “expansions” And in that folder I drop in the Marco Polo folder and once I power on my MPC it automatically reads it and loads it up with the artwork.
I really love both of them as they are identical on its workflow which is good news but if I had to pick one I would go with the Live 2 Just for the convenience of having it unplugged which really comes in handy in my workflow
