You have to make sure you using the correct charger and wire for the correct phone I had an old phone I'd replace the battery in the phone now words it was real old as far as like four years old and I think I fried it at least the charger port because I was using an Amazon tablet charging plug but yeah these phones are funny and you just might have got a defective port

this phone really sucks. 6 months and the charging port is done. then you have to spend more money to fix it because there is no other alternatives like wireless charging or removing the battery and charging with an external device.
