Samsung Curved Monitor Best Settings 

Do you NOT understand how contrast and brightness works together? There is no way I would suggest having contrast at 25% and brightness at 100%. Brightness controls your darks and shadow depth. Set it too high and you will brighten your dark levels which will take away your shadows or blacks. Contrast controls the brightness, some highlights, and overall picture depth. Set it too low and it will darken your screen and take away your details along with throwing the balancing of your lights and darks off as a whole that's needed to create realism in a picture. So your settings setup is horribly wrong! Also with your colors quite frankly turned all the way up I can only imagine the over saturation you are experiencing and you're not even realizing it. You just introduced picture bleed to your gaming experience. The color settings should be left alone at its precalibrated default setting. The only time you should EVER messed with that is if you are into photo editing of some sort and you are trying to get the most accurate color calibration for that specific reason. Otherwise leave it alone. Because you messed with so much stuff it caused you to tweak other settings you didn't need to just to compensate for the mistakes you had already made which made your overall picture quality extremely poor for the standards of gaming with the best visuals for this monitor. I wouldn't suggest anyone to EVER follow these settings at all!

Please tell me how you're using the display port. I've had no luck with this. Does your laptop have a display port output?

Maybe you can help me out here. But how do i change the HDMI resolution ? Because i am using an HDMI adaptor for my original xbox and while it works fine on my TV it will not work with this monitor and says that i need to change my settings but i can't in the menu.

I bought the cf390 and I primarily use it with a ps4. I had to lower the contrast a lot because whites looked completely burned, while normally on tvs I turn it all the way up to 80-90. I don't use monitors a lot so I was wondering: is that normal? Or is there some problem with the calibration? Anyway picture quality is good for the price.

I need help, when I turn on the monitor it only show me “check signal cable” and I click on it and it just shows me settings I try to swipe the button left but it just puts me back into the menu I think it’s because of the HDMI cable but I’m not really sure could someone help?

Tap the power button on the monitor and use the buttons sides to navigate. If it says cable not found or whatever just press the power button on the monitor to the left and it should turn on. Plug speakers into the back of the monitor.

Got this in January from the Wal of Mart for $99. You can actually push it to 70/71 hz to eke out some more refresh rate from the standard 60 hz. (did it with custom settings on Nvidia Control Panel)
