Samsung Galaxy A14 5G (After 6 Months): The GOOD & The BAD! 

do you think this phone is the best out of the low budget phones? Samsung really seem to offer top quality even on a lower budgets end. I'm pretty sure this phone is water resistant up to a point with guerrilla glass too. Would be glad to hear your thoughts in regards to the best budget phone for under 200 euros?

I have a Tracfone A03s Samsung that I love. Prepaid A14 would be nice as well

@@aquila813apologetics3 Sometimes, when you first switch it on. But once up and going, it's pretty decent. For the money, it's a pretty good phone.

No it doesnt lag, ive had it for a year now. What i have notice is its laggy when coming out of apps or swiping etc sometimes, phone heats up a lot... and it takes ages too charge, sometimes when i call people it hangs up and i have to restart my phone.. im considering getting an iphone now​@aquila813apologetics3

These budget Samsung smartphones are fine for folks who don't need lightning fast processing speed, flagship smartphone nowadays are overpriced.......

this Dimensity 700 cpu is no joke and flies in normal usage especially with the animation speeds and stuff set to 0.5x speed in the android developer options. I read it's about on par with the older flagship S9 power wise. Plus they've stepped their game up and are supporting pretty much all these newer budget phones with several OS upgrades and years of security updates. Very close to pulling the trigger on an A14 5G myself. Serves my needs very fine

4gb is fine, don't worry - I have 7-8 apps open at the same time and have experienced no issues on my a14 5g

You can extend the screen on time to Infinity. It's hidden though. You have to unlock developer options... Go into settings - about phone - software information. And there you'll see "build number". Tap on that, I think seven times in a row quickly, or just keep tapping it and eventually at the bottom it will say developer options unlocked or something like that. Then go back to the main settings menu, at the very bottom there should now be developer options. Go into there and there's an option near the top called stay awake. Your phone will stay awake until you hit the power button to lock the screen. It's not exactly what you're asking for, but it's good if you need the phone to stay awake for extended periods. They hide the developer options for a reason, you can miss some settings up on your phone if you just fool around with them all willy-nilly, but there's some other useful things in there as well you might find. This is how to do it on the current Android version, it might very slightly an older versions are on this phone I'm not sure. But you can always Google how to unlock developer options for the a14.

sadly, it does has a very poor microphone. I wish they would've cut costs on something else.

had the same trouble on my A14, sound quality while recording videos sounded like it was recorded under water, very bad microphone on this phone, the A52 is far better

Its called a sell up. At this price range. Headphone jacks are a must.

@@leemosimon No. It is a Dimensity 700 chip which is great for phone calls, text messages, basic apps like Lyft and Uber, but it is not great for gaming.

Free phones usually have the bare minimum. Honestly if you can, just spend some money on a cheap but decent phone. The $230 I spent on the A14 was worth it. I love the camera. It takes very vibrant colorful photos.

A54 is the phone behind normal S23 aka. The 4th best samsung phone 2023 excluding foldables

@@jasonWW2psproletsgo OMG wow oh wow, well before today is over guess what I am gonna have in my hand a different Samsung galaxy device as it is gonna be one of the Ultra devices to choose from like the s21 Ultra, or either the s22 Ultra and the s23 Ultra, yep one of those phone devices will be my new device to have in my hand, I think they are way better than that A14 device. I personally might go with th s21 Ultra device cause it's still a good device up to this point as I been looking at video after video about it and it's price friendly as far as the budget

@edenmorningstar.7865 I'd say get a budget android by a brand like Samsung or Motorola if battery is the main concern but if hardware is of concern try a 2019-2021 flagship android really cheap used gives better value than iphones

The a03s is not a very good phone but it is cheap so you can't complain that much and yeah 32 gigs don't go far

samsung is picky with chargers, choose high quality ones because if the charger frys the battery will get messed up and won't charge

@@drowsiigg, I've used two different chargers with the same results and now it won't charge. My Motorola has been so good to me. My Redmi Note 12 recently got updated to Android 14 and Hyper OS 1.

The 5g variant you mean? From the looks of it the specs on this variant are way better. Since it's a Samsung it won't be as slow as those Chinese devices. As long as you have adequate storage and don't game then it'll be fine

@@ulysses4989 no im talking about the antenna. i had a mto g that i broke and i had signal all over town etc. i swaped sim into a14 and dont have service in the same places.. and fall to edge network. the modem antenna or what ever you want to call it may be different but the a14 i bought in the uk that may or may not be a saudi version is borderline unusable

My a32 broke to motherboard. Restart and restart. Have a a14 its a slow phone. And on youtube 1080p not work good. Have set in on 720p to watch.
