So they sound great, fit great, anc is good. But spatial audio is bad so they're bad? Who cares about spatial audio? Feels like the review is overly negative for something that's not important.
i like them but for me they dont fit that great but the sound quality is very good and they are super loud i hope the have the same quality but better fit in the next one...
360 Audio can be turned off so it is a non-issue. I bought all the Galaxy Buds and these are hands down the best ones. I have a lot of the other high end buds also, and I still grab these. If I don't I grab the Sony LinkBuds S (yes over the XM4s). These are my daily drivers tho. If I am using my iPad tho, I still use my AirPod Pro's. I would still go AirPod Pro's on any Apple device, I hate them on my Galaxy S22 Ultra tho. They are just buggy
I wish I could try more ear buds but these sound good to me, best sounding ear buds I've had in awhile edit: dynamic equalizer is the best in my opinion, can't just keep it in normal guy..
I've had mine for about 18 months. My advice with earbuds is quite simple. 1. Always go for white - They're easier to locate - black ones are a nightmare when you're trying to find them - remember they are small. 2. Turn the setting features on that you like and off that you don't like - thats what they're there for - don't winge about them. 3. If you like to know whats going on in the world around you - don't bother with ANC. 4. Keep the Galaxy app udated - otherwise you might experience problems. 5. Keep the Galaxy equaliser on normal and use a 3rd party player with its own equaliser to get the best sound for music. 6. Remember - the price tag includes the Samsung setting features - If you don't need them - buy something cheaper. 7. Cheers - feel free to comment and slag me off for being cynical.
It sounds like youre basing your review on your experience with head tracking on? 360 surround sounds awesome to me, I can hear instruments clearer and feel like im in the room with the speaker when listening to a podcast. Also, head tracking doesn't depend on where you're facing, it depends on where your phone is at
How does the find my case feature work? I haven't seen anyone mention that yet, and that's one of the things I've been saying these companies need to implement. Awesome review as always.
The pinned comment is a shill. The only info I got is that these are indeed earbuds and the features mostly work. Wow, so generic. How is it that the tv guy can also make a review be casual yet informative yet this review gives me only one objective metric. It has 24 but audio supports. At what bitrate? I guess it’s a mystery.
I bought one today. The sound quality is great in music. But talking sounds tinny expecially in videos like this. My og Bose qc wireless earbuds still have better sound, you cant lower the trebel either its rough, all the preset eq options raise the trebel except one. I'm returning them tomorrow, I think im going sennheiser this gen. I love my bose but I've heard so much bad about the ultras. And I don't like the sony foam tips
It's quite a dilemma because the comfort and the passive noise reduction are better on the buds 2. Nevertheless, the care is much better on the buds 2 pro..
I received mine today like many of us. Just an honest background who I am. I am one of those audiophile nuts, about 30+ years. Not to brag, but my stereo is about 20k. So far I have owned original Galaxy Buds, own 2 pairs of Buds Pro (1 at office, 1 for home), and now this new Buds2 Pro Buds2 Pro sound quality is far superior to the original Pro. Particularly channel separation and little detail. I love these Buds2 Pro! Big thumbs up! Very comfortable too.
@@sjain6320 depends what kind of music you like. If you listen to acoustic music or pop or music that's more vocals then maybe. But me I like my music to sound like I'm in a night club and booming with that bass, if you listen to Hip Hop and R&B and Trap Music. Then the MTW 3 does pretty well in my opinion. But all depends really on what you like
@@manlykscorpa I don't mean to say that they are terrible. But you asked how they ranked against the m3. That is the thing. In audiophile circles they are ranked among the best tws. The m3 are not. This is because they are more truer to the original sound and have great instrument separation. The m3 don't. However, most people prefer more bass like you ( nothing wrong with it as everyone has different music taste).
Almost everything is better than Buds Pro... except highs are not balanced. Sounds like an extra filter applied... Not expected from Buds pro 2... disappointed
As for the 360 audio, give some Samsung some time they'll get it sorted I'm sure. They are World's Largest Vertically Intergrated Company in the world arguably. Phones, TVs, Washer and Dryers etcetera. They are very competitive. Edit : The S95b TV is awesome
idk man. I got the og galaxy buds pro, and they had 360 audio. Absolutely terrible, and it never got solved. One of my main issues with samsung is they release stuff and leave it in the state its in.
Great review, thanks. Who invented spatial and why??? What a useless gimmick that robs you of the intended experience. Personally, I love my Focal and Senheisers headphones way too much to even bother with earphones.
For the Mavic 3 and run the DJI FLY App, which tablet does you recommend, taking into account the bright screen so we can fly in the sun and others. Thank you.
Just Purchased my Bud2 Pro I'm using largest of tips that came with Bud2 Pro... Even Bud2 Pro's Earbuds don't come out or fall out when I shake my head "vigorously" side to side ( horizontally ) or up & down ( vertically )... They Just Don't Feel Secure... There you are, Phil. I was wondering what happened to your Modern Dad videos. I occasionally still watch one that offered some good advice. Glad to see you moved on to Digital Trends.
I have Sony headphones and the 360 audio quality was improved with a software update. But this of course isn't possible if the hardware wasn't designed well for that function.
It's Funny that Everyone goes crazy about New phones , watches, & Ear buds... We the people pay way too much for these products, that don't change " Quality wise..... The speakers on any phone sucks Ass , the Gorilla glass !! My Ass sucks ..... and don't get me going on these Watches !! Lol. KEEP WHAT YOU HAVE AND DONT FALL FOR THE BULLSHIT MARKETING 💯
They feel so good and fit better than the pixel buds pro but after swapping between songs I can easily say anc blocks is about the same , the pixels are better at high volume and distort , pixel buds bass really gets you in the zone but the galaxy buds 2 pro vocals sound better but you have to put them on the dynamic eq setting. Then the pixels buds have Google assistant and sadly the galaxy buds use Bixby . Currently it's Battery ,bass , and the Google assistant vs comfort , crisp vocals, and voice detection but the pixel buds don't have the eq enabled yet so I may lean towards them since vocals will be better down the road with the eq. Going to boxes these back up and sell them .
I tried them and the ANC is definitely improved, but I don't know if it's because of the new fit, my buds pro 1 ANC improved when I added different tips. My only issue is, I dont like how the buds 2 pro look. The buds pro 1 atleast look like earbuds, while the buds 2 pro just look plain weird, ive had people ask me "what the heck is that in your ears"
I have had the opposite experience with them. People always asked what the pro 1's were but most people actually seem to like how my 2's look. Maybe they know what they are because I got the airpods pro style color white and black
@@hoomaham4183 they have both good reviews. And there both light. I dont think you will dislike any of them. Its always hard to tell from outside. The first buds pro were uncomfortable but these seem a lot better. I mean just go for the sony. Youll have to try them and just make sure you can give them back...
@@alejandromorazan3420 okay but does that actually upscale to 24 bit as said in the video? I haven't seen anyone say that in a review until here. I thought the buds2 pro were just 24 bit capable, so I'd need a 24 bit song.
@@TheButtonSlasherZ no, 24bit is just a way of saying that the data transfer speed from the phone to the earbuds are high enough to transfer 24bit audio, that doesn't mean anything unless you play back songs in FLAC format, apps like Amazon music HD can provide that. Humans can't listen to any audio above 16bit, so 16 bit is enough, some people love to believe that they hear a different in 24bit audio but science has proven that it's not possible. Now if you are coming from YT music or spotify and get the right gear in order to listen to high quality audio (music) in FLAC format, you will hear a difference (not everyone can) For me as an audiophile, this 24bit marketing is complete BS for now since we need to wait for a audio engineer to test and measure to see if these buds are actually transferring full lossless audio. In a way this is a step in the right direction for the audiophile community (portable) Since wireless earbuds were always seen as bad due to their limited bandwidth, which is why audiophiles always go for wired headphones because wires can transfer full quality. Then again there's lots of subjectiveness out there. But in my opinion the original galaxy buds pro are one of the best sounding earbuds out there and if they supported lossless audio codec it would be an endgame.
@@alejandromorazan3420 damn that's a very comprehensive and simplified answer. Thank you SO MUCH. From what this reviewer said, it seemed like my 16 bit FLAC songs would magically become 24 bit when using these buds and that the quality would jump. Didn't even know about the science aspect. You're amazing thanks a ton!!
Blows my mind there isn’t a built in galaxy tracker into the base, they could easily cram it into the bottom… FFS they run on a watch battery, it’s not like it would be a compromise in any way. Otherwise we’re all attaching trackers by putting a case on then attaching a tracker to the case. How could Samsung think we don’t need to find the device when the base is closed with headphones inside???
Sony WF-1000xm4 or Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro? I need good call quality in loud environment (factory), ANC, audio quality in that order. I own Samsung S21 FE. Please share your thoughts.
I have the xm4s and I've been told I sound better wearing some cheaper 70 dollar samsung earphones. Plus the xm4s feel huge on my ears and im not a small guy. and they don't feel as comfortable. Thinking of switching to the buds 2 pro.
@@assordante2205 You have no idea what are you writing about. What are earplugs for at factory where lot of noise is generated? Noise canceling earphones are standard for hearing protection.
I made a profit/loss account for my budget last week. I have made a profit of 4000 dollars in the last 2 years thanks to your channel. If it weren't for you, I would have chosen "expensive" and "famous brand" products instead of many of the products I have today. Thanks to you, I chose "useful" products that work for me. I wanted to thank you. Greetings from Turkey.
PLEASE HELP! I am at the edge of a cliff and ready jump! I am trying to decide if Sony 85" tv for that movie theater feel in my living room of the Sony X85k is better or worse than the Sony X90k.... Please help me before I go insane!!! Please 🙏! I need a sign of sanity.
Thank you for this review. I have the Samsung Galaxy Bud Lives I purchased early this year to watch on my new Samsung 2022 S95B OLED 4K Smart Television. After wearing the Galaxy Bud Live, they tend to get lose in my ear and fall out if I am walking around. I am going to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro today at Best Buy. I am not dealing with Samsung trade in program because it is a difficult process having to mail in the old earbuds by Fed-EX. I live in a large about building in New York City and I like wearing my Samsung earbuds late at night so I will not disturb my neighbors. I am retired and I watch a lot of Baseball, HBO-Max, Starz, Showtime, Epix, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, and my favorite series, Supernatural.
Hmm I might buy them , since my brother is buying the fold 4 and we'll get 30% off when buying these buds + a 200 euro cashback in exchange for an old device + I'll get a free wireless charger. So pretty good deal ig
They are probably great in calls, although not a good competitor for apple when it comes to music sound (I am a Samsung user and I have the first version of these in my ears right now)
