You are my hero. You didn't just save my day, you literally saved the entire year. My mom just died and I have no money to buy a new tablet and thanks to you my tablet works again after my kitten threw it down the table. Thank you so much....
In case anyones wondering, Yes it still works. I just fixed my sister tablet, now she can look at her baby's photos again. Thank you for posting this video
OMG my tablet had been down for over a year it's late 1:58 am. I just finished following your directions and my tablet is back up and running. Thank you so very much. I'm so excited I almost cried...thanks a million
Excellent, my tablet was sitting in the drawer for two months, now it came back to life again! Thank you a lot, Also your video is lively and positive, thanks for the good job too ...
Awesome video! Thank you. I had watched another one and he didn't mention the bottom connection. Watched yours as a back before doing anything and took a look at my bottom connection and the flap was already UP...so I found my issue, it wasn't even a mystery at that point. Thanks for a great tutorial.
Thanks a lot. My 2 years old son let it fall on the ground: black screen, but sound and lights on bottom buttons. It works by just disconnect screen and battery, blow with my breath, and reconnect. I managed to open the device in 5 minutes with a guitar pick.
Thank you for your video. I was quoted $300 to replace the lcd screen. Decided to try this first and it worked! Really appreciate the tips to avoid damage to the device. 😄
You're an angel. FYI your video allowed me to troubleshoot a LePan II Tablet that my son accidentaly drop from about a foot off the floor. Screen was black. I found another video to find out how to open it and used your steps to re-seat the connectors properly. While visually they looked ok, screen was black. After removing and reconnecting the cables, tablet was working back again. Thank you SO MUCH! My son has ADD and this tablet helps him stay on track every morning...
Can't believe it worked! My tablet was down and I couldn't bear to give it to repair for fear of losing all my sketches in it, but I fixed it in literally 2 minutes thank you so much!
This is awesome. Got my galaxy note 10.1 way back when it came out in 2013 and the screen gave out after 1.5 years. Tablet was replaced and sat since. I randomly came across your video and gave it a try. Holy crap, less than 10 minutes and the tablet was working again. Thank you!!!
Having looked at other videos addressing the black screen problem, this is by far the best. It is clear and thoroughly explained particularly when it came to releasing the LCD and power cables. My wife's Note 10.1 is now up and running again. Many thanks
This was without a doubt the most useful video I've watched in RU-vid. First time opening a tablet for a self repair and you were incredibly thorough. My Samsung tablet is fixed and I'm very grateful for your help!
So I went to Geek Squad and they told me I would have to pay the price of the tablet to get it fixed cause the warranty expired on it. Watched this video and it worked. Thank you so much. It is my drawing tablet and I was working on a sketch thank you thank you
Great tutorial! My stepmother brought me her 2014 Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 with the black screen issue. I followed the steps you provided, and Voila! Thanks for the help!
I'll add my thanks to you for publishing this video. I haven't used my Note 10.1 2014 Edition in a long time, and when I recently went to fire it up to install LineageOS or one of the possible Linux distros to escape the Samsung bloatware I had the non-existent backlight of doom. I was ready to set it aside as a lost cause because it's not worth putting money into it, but your video saved the day and I have a working backlight again. Just FYI, I had to re-seat both ends of the video cable to fix the problem. The top end on the motherboard didn't solve it, but re-seating the bottom connector was the charm.
i dropped my tablet at 7.20pm, followed your instructions and by 8.20 fully working, saved me money and time thankyou soooo much merry christmas and god bless
Couple things here. My kids each have one and I have fixed this problem at least 100 times. You do not need to removed the front as was done in this video. The back is much easier to pull off. You would only need to remove the front to change out the charging port. I have done that 4 times. The ribbon that he says is for the battery, is not. It is only for the charging port. If you want to disconnect the battery, it is the plug in the center of the two ribbons with black, green and red wires. I know, I have changed the battery in both. Now, pulling the ribbon for the LCD, on the left is a fix, albeit a temporary one. Stumbled on this video while looking for a permanent fix.
I honestly did drop my tablet just last night. Then had the exact similar screen visibility only under a bright light. Luckily no screen crack. Found your video and followed the instructions & Voila! The screen is back to life yet again This old tablet just won't give up, except battery drainage issues which is given. Another fixed tablet. Thank you.
This was a fantastic video. I had this exact issue. Following his instructions I repaired my Samsung Galaxy Pro SM-P900 easily and quickly.. One special item of note: Be ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you get those cables back in place 100%. I had failed to get the power ribbon cable 100% in place so when I fired the tablet up, it kept popping up with "Choose Application"... Once I powered it back down, blew everything out, reseated that cable 100% it has worked perfectly.. EASILY saved me $100.00 at the repair shop !
Dude, I'vs had this for at least 4 years and couldn't figure out how to fix this. I already did the 80% ribbon but didn't know that 5% end of the ribbon existed. That is what was wrong. - 4 years later it's on!!!!!!!!!! Your awesome!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing - your the bomb!!!
I cannot express how grateful I am for you and this video! You have saved so much work I had done on the tablet (and from purchasing a new tablet). Thank you so much! I hope you have the best day!!!!
Life saver vid! My daughter got this used for Christmas & a few days ago the screen blacked out on her & she lost it! This video helped me get her tablet together again so thanks a million!!!
GOD bless you adamım. Sen Adam'ın hammaddesisin bro. "Adam" kelimesi seninle anlam buluyor, o derece!! Senin için yapabileceğim herhangi bir şey varsa hiç çekinme, yaz..
My son ran full pelt with mine yesterday just before holiday and I thought I was going to have to buy another and reload all his videos. However your video and half an hour later, job done! Superstar!
You are the best....just use to fix my backlight. Thought at first it was the battery, but the back arrow was lighting up. Of course my sons stills says he didn't drop it....but it is fixed and working like a charm, did take your advice and put a piece of electrical tape on it and blew out the dust! Thank you again!!
Thank you!! Worked! I had to use a lot more force than I was originally expecting to pry off the screen from the back plate, but it finally came out. The white plastic lazy E-shaped piece that holds the stylus in also fell out, but it just pushed back into place. (FYI for those of you working on yours.)
Thank you! Work tablet and it just stopped working one day. Been looking around and couldn't find anything. So this saved a little money. THANKS AGAIN!!!
I rarely comment on anything but you are a God send! thank you IT WORKED! i also did use a can of air.. and also by you teaching me this i could eventually change my battery when needed!
Just to say thanks! I unplugged and plugged back both cables (LCD and charging) and now I have normal screen and tablet that charges! Thx. (found my old note 10.1 in a wardrobe and with no hope to succeed started to youtube for howto, you can do amazing things when you are bored, heh).
I called the repair shop and asked how much it would cost to fix this exact problem. $100 - $150... I cant thank you enough for posting this!! My tablet it fixed!! And I didnt have to wait a week and pay for nothing!
Just followed your video, tablet now work again,, had to try several times but preserved and was successful in the end. Thanks for your excellent advice and demo. B Jackson. UK.
THANK YOU SO MUCH HERO!!!!!!! my mom tablet started going dark in some spaces and when it went blank i started to cry! But when i saw this and did it my self it WORKED! I feel so alive.
I had given up that I was going to have to buy a new tablet with money I need for other needs. On a whim, I thought I would check out youtube. Not being tech savvy, I was skeptical. After following your instructions, I totally surprised myself when the Samsung logo lit up. I hope you don't take my all caps the wrong way, but THANK YOU!!!
TipsNNTricks THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I am Brazilian from the city of Goiânia Goias I have a model Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 equal to the one with this same defect. good had this defect .. thanks to your video I resolved. He was already a year away. because an LCD screen of this model costs 800 reais here in Brazil the equivalent of 200 dollars, and the technicians had accused the LCD without even looking, watching your subtitled video and solved the problem. I wish you the best of luck and prosperity.
OMG!! 3 YEARS LATER your video Helped me out with my galaxy tab i dropped and i had put away for 2 years because i had no idea what happened. yesterday took it to a local shop to fix and they asked me $320 FREAKING DOLLARS!! i said no thank you i will try to fix it myself so THANK YOU sir!!!. you got my like and a subscription.
I was skeptical but it worked! I had to completely remove the cable from both ends, the bottom seemed to have more slack than the top then used air duster and re taped at both ends. I put on cover and turned on there was the start up screen thank you.
I had wierd faded black spots on my tablet at first, then i tried restarting it and it went all black... thats when i watched your video and fixed it. Took me only 30min. Thanks a lot !
This is a great tutorial for anyone with this issue, just be careful, he isn't disconnecting the battery, that right ribbon cable is just the USB ribbon for data/charging, the battery is the RED/GREEN/BLACK cables in between the ribbons.
You're the best it happened to me too I looked at your video clean my contacts and everything is working perfect and I was ready to spend money on a brand new LCD thanks to you I save money One Love take care
After several failed attempts of pressing various buttons, I followed instructions on this video and got a result first time. Thanks a million I’m now officially a super hero with my daughter.
This works for the original note 10.1. In my case, it was the bottom connection that was loose. Got this cheap on eBay because the screen was black. Thanks for the video!
I never commemt on anything but omfg!!! I am not tech smart at all and I actually have a slightly different samsung tab. and omg it worked perfectly!!!!!! I'm so exited!!!!! yayaya!!!!
OBRIGADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, eu já estava louca, funcionou perfeitamente.. Muito obrigadaaa. I love you
Hey you are the man! Quick and easy fix made me the man of the day for a hot young lady. She didnt give me the tablet but she let me give her something. It worked out nicely. Thank you!
@@TipsNNTricks Hi, my Tab S4 only goes to black screen after your Finnishing stage, when app is selected screen goes black, time, battery life and wifi bar at top of screen still shows. Will going through your process still work for me?.
