This thing was a beast. It got me through my time in high school as my daily driver. Still can't believe I actually used it as a daily driver considering the size of that thing. Lost it back in 2017 after it was stolen by someone. So much memories made with it.

I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it

Still got mine in 2022; lost the S Pen sometime years ago and own a recent iPad Air 4, but I remember my dad using this as a daily driver for Military stuff till he gave it to me as a gaming tablet. Still a good device, even over a decade later. 👍
The iPad 2 is great, however, there are a number of things I love about the the Galaxy 10.1 from this review; 1) Multi Tasking- The ability to use use 2 or more apps simultaneously; 2) S-Pen - Great integration into the Note; 3) Polaris Office; great to have a pre-installed Office suite; either way, the CloudOn app is a pretty great free Office alternative as well.
@@choccymilk5784 get an sd card put all your apps there and try to keep the main storage not full. the more full you make your main storage the slower it will be. it's an SSD and that's a common issue it will always be there.

When I write, I have a tendency to lay my hand onto the surface I am writing on. Will my hand affect the sensitive screen when it comes to pressing keys/text?
I love this product. It's very suitable for college students like me and great for note-taking, multitasking or word processing. I play alot of games which are graphically intense and this tablet works well on that.

I wanted a Samsung tablet to go with my Samsung S3 and Samsung Smart tv but had no idea what to get, started off looking at the tab3 8 inch and then the 10.1, but after watching your videos decided on the note 10.1. Outstanding review! This is the first and only review that I have watched after being awed by the multitasking feature within the Samsung device. The thoroughness of this review for that capability and the depth reached on other capabilities has saved me time and money. I guess I am looking for the power and longevity of Apple devices that can truly multitask without being proprietary AND support USB. I guess I'm waiting for the MacBook Air to get down to 10".

The tablet was covered really good in this video, but things that he wanted in a tablet may not have been what the average user wants. I had my hands on a Note a couple of months ago and while I did not have a chance to run it through its paces. I was very impressed and will look at new versions of Samsung tablets for purchase in the future,
Good vid, especially how you finished. I considered the Infinity (and the Nexus 10) before I purchased my Note 10.1. Their screens are clearly better. However, you put into words my thought process. The Note 10.1 has more STUFF. For ME, the stuff is a big deal. The S-Pen and the multiview apps I use a lot. To ME, they aren't added gimmicks, they are useful for how I want to work. Plus I have kept my "old" pics and I use scaled-up "phone" apps that all would look WORSE on a high-res display.

Watching this in my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.... And I say, it's just so wonderful... It really helps you to become more productive... it's way more better than a crap iPad...
Got the UK version and on the back of the box it says "Full HD (1080p) playback and HD Recording" so either the US version is different spec or it has possibly been revised for 2013. Also comes with a set of headphones.
THats a lot of money. The 16gb note 10.1 is about 450 in walmart, and you can add a 64gb microSD card for another 45 dollars. iPad is very nice but the Note 10.1 is pretty awesome too, you start to wonder how you got along without the S-pen once you really learn to use it. For the record I have an ipad2 as well, but my 6 year old daughter hijacked it from me so I wanted to get myself a Note 10.1 the more I read about it, the more I was amazed at all it can do. Either way you got a good tablet
Thinking of getting either this or the Google Nexus 10 but cant decide. What would you recommend bearing in mind that i will be using it for taking notes at college sometimes but more often to browse the internet or to listen to music (through headphones).
Definitely. 100%. Just as everyone else said, it is very productive especially with the s pen. It has a bunch of cool features such as write to type (you write it types). so in the end you get more value for the money you paid and production .
It really depends what kind of user you are. If you already heavily invested in the iTunes and Apple ecosystem and want an awesome tablet for media consumption with a huge amount of accessories available, the iPad would be for you. However, if you would like a tablet with very powerful productivity and note taking options, as well as an very customisable and functional operating system with support for flash drives, game controllers, file explorers and the like, get the note 10.1.
This would be great for uni! But I was just wondering; with the notes that I type on the Samsung galaxy note, can I transfer them to my computer? I want to take this to uni to take simple notes in lectures and classes, but then I would want to be able to get those notes off the tablet to then use them on my computer at home.
also, the ipad app store is much more populated with quality tablet made apps, however apple limits the functionality of apps in the app store, so they do not add function not already present and embedded in the devices design. Although the google play store has fewer tablet optimised apps, think of android apps more as applications on a PC or Mac, as they can customise the device and add new features not present on the device.
@DetroitBORG, actually, you can feel the difference between the volume rocker and the power button. The Power button is a bit wider and a bit flushed while the volume rocker is a bit narrow and raised.... Hope this helps... :)
Hey Detroit Borg, I've notice that it did come with the replacements tips for the S-Pen but headphones, FYI You may want to inform Samsung onnyoyr undoing because it should come with headphones as well with the replacements tips for the S-Pen. Mine package didn't come with either and still waiting for those items from Samsung. Been 90 days and they just love to send the wrong items or waiting times.

been using this product for 2 years. no issues whatsoever... actually it got moody sometime 8 months ago and hanged constantly. lots of love and care brought it back on track and the charger stopped working and stores were not really keeping them. but thankfully the charger for S4 works just fine, so I'm ok.
