What you have here is most probably a counterfeit version since it comes in packaging of Note 5 s-pen that was changed for Note 8 and it is now black and made from cardboard. If you remove all the stickers you were mentioning you'll find serial number GH68-44704A which was used for Note 5 model. On the back of your pen underneath the word "China" there should be a string of numbers. You can see it on your pen that came with a phone but I'm assuming it's missing from new one.. There are few more ways to tell but for me the fact it didn't work as well and needed a bit more pressure was enough to return it.
Hi, I think you are mistaken I have ordered a black one too which was shipped from Korea. This is an original and has the original s/n not what you mentioned.
urtechtoday Box has to be black and made out of cardboard. Serial number is barely visible string of 5 numbers underneath each other. They should be below "China" mark on the back of the pen itself.
urtechtoday good to hear. As for the box, you can remove the stickers you're talking about at 2:42 and note the model number on the box itself. Mine had GH68-44704A which is for Note 5 and not for Note 8. If that's ok as well you should be ok. Mine also had some subtle differences like texture of a button, but most importantly it just wasn't as precise and needed a bit more pressure than the old one.
Exactly on point! The original Samsung note8 pen & the real after market s-pen break easy by sitting on it and just bending over time. Never a issue with buttons at all. What I don't like is the price of the real note8 S-pen AU $60 & FAKES! Ranges from AU $10 - $20. When the kids use my pen. I givem the FAKES and the real pen is just for me!! There's a big difference between the two apart from breaking is exactly the same.
Mine broke in the same way - just from regular use for a few months. Spen with Note3 is still going strong though lol I was directed to this video from searching for replacement spen calibration, as mine isn't hitting/marking exactly where I place it on screen. Has anyone else had this issue with their replacement?

urtechtoday I expressed myself wrong. The s pen you got with the phone broke, and Samsung Customer service directed you to buy new one. Doesnt make any sense, shouldnt they provide you with a replacement for free? :D

Hi its very difficult to get original s pen especially from aliexpress as there is a huge amount of fakes available everywhere including Amazon. I was lucky enough to find a seller from korea who could ship the original. Other option would be to contact Samsung and buy from their service centre.
