Hey Saki, thanks for the videos,i've been with apple for 10 years and have now switched from Iphone to Samsung. Your video's have helped me to enyoi my new s10+ to the fullest. Thanks! I subscribed and hit the bell as a way of saying thank you :)
One thing every one UI user should change that go to file manager > storage analysis > settings > duration of unused files Change it from 6 months to any large number because if you use a old memory card of yours it will automaticaly delete files which are older than 6 months I found it the hard way i lost about 6gb of my porn collection 😢😢😢 Keep your study materials safe
@@landenteves4728 Yeah it worked. Apparently we were doing it wrong the first time. But my nephew showed me the proper app to download. All that for a costume for his dumb game lol
Very useful. I 👀 even thou I have the s10e the settings are simple and the same as the s10 you are displaying! Step 4 step I just followed your tutorial and learned, more about my s10e, phone. Only issue I have so far is the soft ware!! I like to recieve and send large files, thru a text! As well customize all my ringtones using downloaded music files of my choice! Samsung mentioned there will be an option 2 do this coming soon. I cant wait👍
Good video. It's a lot clearer than many I've seen giving tips. You speak at the perfect speed for following along. I'm assuming that to run the settings you suggest for device maintenance etc, that the phone has to be turned on. Do you or others just run your phones 24/7? I'm a heavy user at least 18 hrs a day and I always like to give my phone a rest when I'm sleeping unless expecting a call. I use my old S5 as my alarm clock or my tablet, or both! I don't sleep much, but when I do sleep, I need a lot of alarms, very loud obnoxious alarms, lol. 😃 My 1st time with your videos, Saki, thanks.
@@edxander7169 I guess your comment was made jokingly. Maybe I'm not a heavy, I don't know. But I use my phone to do research on a few topics I'm working on. So that involves many searches, reading, saving and categoring into different apps; writing, etc. Along with tons of email, lots of texting, FB and sometimes I binge on certain games. I used to binge on FB (user since 2003 or 04) , many hours a day, but haven't been doing much FB past year. Oh I almost forgot, sometimes I even use it as a telephone 📞. Here's the deal, I'm too lazy to deal with turning on my laptop because I'm sick of messing around with updates in Windows 10. Every update usually creates some sort of problem that takes weeks of trying to correct.
@@bjmpac what kind of laptop are you using? I hardly get any updates and when I do I have it scheduled for when I'm already asleep ;D but daaaayyuummn you do use your phone a lot Haha I have the s10+ myself, but I only use it for RU-vid p much lmao
HEY SAK, have you have issues with BATTREY life after PIE UDATES .....MY BATTREY drains a little faster than before, others on the web, has also complain,SO any issues???
@Sakitech they just stabilized a "force dark mode" setting in S10+ Dev Settings. Fully works, even on facebook app. Just for future tips! This is the newer one U.i 2.1 update
Hi Saki. Great video man. My galaxy s9 was stolen in Paris. I didnt know what to do. What i did was lock my sims through my telecoms. I did download find my phone but I guess the sims were removed and this why it doesnt locate it. Can you please make a video on what to do when you loose your phone and how can one restore the lost phone data on the new phone. I just ordered a s10plus. Need to restore everything back but dont know how to.
I find this battery saving modes very agressive since update on One UI. (Galaxy S8). I used medium power saving mode before (limit cpu speed - off, restrict background data - off, screen resolution - FHD+) and it was really useful and saved me a ton of battery almost without noticing any performance loss. After update, I had problems with notifications (Viber, for example) even with medium power saving mode turned off and sync turned on. They didn't show up at the same time when message was recieved (when connected to wireless especially). In battery settings I had to manually deselect Viber from going to any kind of sleep mode, but still, sometimes messages are - late...
I'm interested in your comments since I still have an S8. 2 questions: 1) Are you actually getting longer battery life doing exactly same stuff as before update ? My battery life has been awful from the very beginning. And yeah, I've turned on or off everything suggested everywhere. My 3rd Samsung Galaxy phone and I've had to buy backup battery packs-or extra batteries for each of them . 2) you said you were having an issue with the notifications... Is it just Viber? Do you use the pre-installed text/SMS message app? Is that working OK? Have you done anything to correct the problems you've been having? I've had the Pie 9.0 update on my phone on pause for almost 2 months now. I was waiting until the problems were updated. I'm about to run the update today after a final check on currently known issues. Thanks
@@bjmpac actually my battery life is a little worse after last update. But it has been great from start. (I have Exynos version). Coming from Iphone and hearing things about Samsung batteries, I was pleasantly surprised. On medium power saving mode (with settings as described above) I could get easy get 5-6 hours of SOT, but on wireless. With everything set to max, I get about 4 hours of SOT. I don't know why, but when mobile data is on (with wireless off), battery lasts significantly shorter. You should check that out, when 4G signal is weak, battery is draining 2-3 times faster (on my phone, at least). Second thing you should check is if your location services are always on. In my expirience, even if in background, it drains battery a lot. For your second question...SMS preinstalled app works just fine and everything else does. It's just e-mail, whatsapp, viber and things that need internet that I have problems with. On wireless, it's like phone checks notifications every 10 or 15 minutes. (If Viber is working in background, notifications arrive same moment message is sent, like they should) and in period in between - there are no notifications no matter how many messages are recieved. On mobile data, everything works just fine. Be free to ask me anything :)
@@bjmpac I didn't see your last sentence. I think you should update to Pie, lots of my friends with various issues had those solved after update. And many of them told me that their battery lasts even longer. Just be aware that by default (at least that was my case), battery saving options are very agressive on Pie. After update, check out all battery settings and make sure that phone does not put apps to sleep unless you want that. I hope your problems will be solved, let me know what happened.
@@stevanb.2590 I am running on wifi probably 90% of the time. (I'm home a lot!) My cell service is not great on this island where I live and my building is triple-concrete, close to impossible to get a T-Mobile network signal unless I'm right next to an open window. Other carriers also have problem with signals in our building.
@@bjmpac well, in my office I use mobile data (wireless is too slow) and compared to my apartment where signal is not weak, battery drains significantly faster. I believe you will have better results after update or maybe you are heavy user or had faulty battery since first day ?
find my phone would be great option if it would be hard coded and it wouldn't be possible to circumvent FRP after factory hard reset ..... similar to iPhones... unfortunately it is very easy to go around FRP even with latest android security update.
How can I add a feature to like messages... I notice that other people can click "like" on my text or on messenger. But I can't on my android Samsung Galaxys10? Thank you
I should make an advanced tutorial on how to completely disable vibrations without enabling Do Not Disturb. It requires you download two apps and you need a computer to use ADB.
I have a suggestion since you also use the S10+, please optimized your aspect ratio to fit into the S10+ or any other infinity screen mobiles AFTER ZOOMING IN ON RU-vid... If you played your own videos on your phone you would probably notice parts of the video get cut off!
@sakitech My battery discharges from 100 to 80% at night even with all the optimised settings in place. This is really awful. Any idea what i could do?
The 10 plus,,the phone app doesnt give notifications anymore. You have to hit 1 on the keypad to get your messages only a missed call notification comes up. Sprint has to do a software update. Anyone else have this problem?
My device doesn't have find my mobile in the settings it has find my device which makes me download an app that's just like find my iPhone and doesn't offer as many options as the find my mobile does.. any ideas why my device doesn't have find my mobile
Can you explain optimize settings. If your asleep why do you need to reduce volume brightness and the lock time for. Your asleep so it won't be used anyway will it
if that plastic on screen is screen protector then that plastic film on back is case protector !!! don't ffool around people !!! it is NOT a screen protector!!!
I prefer low brightness on mg s10 so its on 20% bright And when i go to youtube it comes brighter for only youtube and when i close youtub the brightness become as usual so how can i turn off this option
You can turn it off by going to settings - advanced settings, scroll to the bottom and switch off the video enhancement. (Didn't remember the exact names but it should help you get the idea...)
If you actually read the auto restart screen you'd see it won't restart if the phone is in use. There's nothing worse than an "expert" who doesn't know the facts.
@@roninr8199 i dont care about 4 G lte or 5 g I wont buy it only because it has no headphone jack I will stick to my note 9 for another 5 years from now
