The s20 series were the last "ultra" phones that Samsung made in my opinion. It was the last year that they decided to just throw everything into the phone and charged however much they needed to. After this they started removing things so they could cut the price back.
Thank you for this video it helped so much with my decision on what galaxy to get since I'm switching from the iPhone 11. I was initially going to get the s20 FE but I liked the advantage and price I saw this phone for.
Thank you so much, i am getting this phone soon, I appreciate your simple review, I don't care about android updates (as long as it's android 12 upwards), i am not a clicking link type of person or too curious type of person, so I am not big on security patches, I know security patches might be over now, but I don't really care about that, as long as it's 12 gb of ram, have standard camera quality and memory card expansion, I am good, and I am a huge fan of huge phones as well, I need this phone cause I am a musical artiste and professional driver (trucker), so I can take many photos while I drive to different places and want to shoot a quick music video, thanks for the video, it really convinced me 👍
Ofc its a great pick i still have my " old " s20 ultra as a backup device with my " old " micro sd, still runs as fast and smooth as my main s23 ultra, the biggest issue I had was battery life and that's the only reason I switched, cameras are still awesome ultrawide and main are pretty close but 10x and above it doesn't come close to the s23 ultra, 10x and 30x still pretty good and usable but far better in the newer device, I would consider battery life OK, not good or bad, but the s23 ultra has excellent battery life in comparison and I do prefer the spen and boxy design
I got this phone on launch. Still haven't upgraded because the phone is still a beast 1st phone i haven't upgraded. I highly recommend it. I even use it on dex as a portable computer. Buy a USB c hub with hdmi and USB ports to plug in keyboard and mouse. I plug it onto my monitor. Runs better than my laptop
Like I've said in other videos and maybe this one as well, is that I don't need the latest Android or Software updates. I have many older devices with no support that still works extremely well for me. And yes I knew that.
@@vernonleewarren280totally agree man. I still have a old s8+ that's outdated in software but still works great and never got hacked once. I think that whole hacking phones with old software is a myth
I have it got day one and I can't tell a difference from now to day 1 just as fast screen is basically the same as the s23ultra the only thing I still have issues with is the zooming on the camera.
Around the end of last year, I was really close to upgrading to the S20 Ultra from my Note 10 plus. Everything about it was great.. Except the camera quality. Not just the focus thing, but the overall images to me were just... meh. Idk why but in a lot of images, there tends to be this unpleasant yellow tone. Then I tried out the S21 Ultra and was blown away. I gotta say if I could take the camera of the S21U and the overall device of the S20U.. that is the device I would definitely go with.
I almost chose this device until the camera. But yeah I’m choosing the 21 ultra cause of the camera and I heard it has the best display then the newer ones. It has a more saturated display and I like it
@thechuck141 i know right which is very stupid and i notice the screen size difference with my s20 ultra and my s23 ultra. The s23 ultra is still a solid device especially with the brightness and battery life but the s20 ultra still has the bigger screen l, micro sd card expansion and can still hold its own still in 2023
@@vernonleewarren280 exactly and that's why its really hard for me to give up my s20 ultra its the 512gb 16gb of ram model and i also have my 1TB micro SD card on top of that so 1.5TB of storage with 16gb of ram with the biggest screen samsung ever made on a smartphone is hard to just pass up. Android 13 will last for a long time anyways
I've been torn between getting this or the Note 20 Ultra. I like the display a tad better on the N20u because despite being the same 6.9 inch size, it looks wider. I'm like you, I don't like phones that are too thin. But the S20u is like $150 cheaper, so that's what's selling me, especially since it'll be 4 years old already. Can you tell me what case that is? I like the rugged look, and it does make it appear wider 👍
Your going to get better battery life on the S20 Ultra plus faster Wired Charging at 45watts. The Note 20 Ultra does have a wider display and the S-pen. I prefer the Note 20 Ultra
😀 im using the Galaxy S20+ dual sim exynos international model, and yes it's definitely worth it cause i paid 214$ dollars plus tax for it from amazon, usually those go for 400$ plus tax so it was a deal, a regular USA model for around 200$ is totally worth it 🤔 but for 280$ i don't know, seems like prices went up from around 200$ in the past couple months
Got 16gb ram 512gb storage version £200 pretty much as good as new, got it to update my Note 9 with. I miss the headphone jack and this phone is ugly compared to the Note 9 and needs more curve on the display.Still prefer the Note 9 but this is a hell of a fast phone and the camera esp at night is amazing, ignore the 100x zoom but the 108 meg camera gives some amazing images. All the best.
I had the s20 plus cause I couldn't afford it at launch time I haven't had the ultra wanted to zoom the moon Hella bad but I sold my s20 plus for 500 cause I needed the money at the time now I'm on a a03s not the best phone but I will upgrade to a 22 ultra soon its a big upgrade for me
No issues at all and I would definitely pick it up over the Pixel 6 Pro. But that's just me. The Pixel is a great device, but it's extremely boring to me. It's devoid of features. The S20 Ultra is a better overall device in my opinion
Its been 2024 already and i still can't choose between s20ultra and note 20 ultra because these two phones are both impressive and also cheaper than the previous phones and also its suited on my budget. Would you help me to choose between these two phones in overall?
mine did have the res line and later the screen turned green, I backed up the phone did the factory reset and all vanished, the screen worked fine, when the screen became white and I can't see the PIN, I tap and tap it slowly it will work for a while, that's the time I did the reset.
I've always charged my phone's wirelessly at night. Never need to during the day, so it charge. Your super fast is not important to me. I put it on the charger when I go to sleep. And wake up and it's charged. I love wireless charging. I was tired of my cords constantly breaking
Thank you for this video it helped so much with my decision on what galaxy to get since I'm switching from the iPhone 11. I was originally going to get the s20 FE but I liked the advantage and price I seen this phone for.
