@XxKaiju_123xX hello? No one has it yet, except these youtube reviewers! We just preordered it on Thursday. We don't get it until two weeks. It might be longer because of some things going on right . Ask these people on the video that have it. I can tell you about my Note 9. I had had that for two years now.
Great video 😊. One suggestion is to look at differences between the S21 & S21+ for the amount of $200. Much larger battery, bigger phone, glass back, stay with flat screen that many now prefer & more color choices. If those differences are worth $200 is probably more subjective due to preference and how active & what types of activities person uses their phone for. I think their is still a big market of people who may choose the S21+. I definitely agree with you that the $200 more for Ultra from S21+ is objectively easier to see. Thanks for helping us make decisions.
Depending on what you use your phone for, no one actually uses the phone at its most capacity. This video convinced me to get the S21, because there are not many difefences between it and S21+ and the ultra is too big. Thanks for the detailed explanation!
21+ because I didn't need the cameras - deciding factors were the glass back and a decent 6.7" size. I don't feel like I'm missing much. (Paying cash really helps sort these issues out imo.)
Agreed. I feel like they are going to lose $ on this one. No standard headphone jack, no charging cables & fob, and now no memory card slot.... I feel like I'm in the twilight zone - is Samsung copying Apple now or what? 😱🥴😡
I feel the same and I am not sure how I am going to overcome that. I have a note with 512 and a 400GB card in it. I have half-filled the phone and half-filled the card. I simply cannot go to a phone without an SD card slot. I am not sure how that is going to work. Maybe they will bring the Note 21 out with a 1TB storage option. But then they will charge $2000 for it.
@@aliayld no seriously, 512gb would not be enough for me. I have a RU-vid and take lots of video footage for it. Plus.... I love music and prefer to keep hard copies on my device rather than use streaming.
@@Kelly-he9ge You can buy an expandable hard drive to store your data. I have 2 & their both 1TB. Together that equals 2000 gigabytes. I'll have plenty of space if I decide to upgrade to the s21 ultra.
Yep, my wife and I have both decided on the S21 Ultra! Great phone. Great video as always as well. Thanks for the comparisons, really helped in our decision.
I went for the S21 with 256GB. The display is good enough. I have a tablet with an S-pen and I don't use it much. The camera is good enough for what I do and is an improvement over the S10 I was using. I prefer a flat display. I use a case so I will never see the back. All these made the S21 the easy choice for me.
Hi, as an S10 user myself it's the screen that's the biggest put off for me. How is the difference now you've had it a while? Miss the S10 screen? I do enjoy a headphone jack and memory card too but mainly the screen is my concern
@@paolo6336, I'm still fine with it. I have a S10 for my work phone but I use the S21 far more. It just feels better all around. I honestly don't even notice the screen difference.
Thanks for this great breakdown between these phones! Excellent job at explaining the differences and specs of each device...you've definitely helped me with my decision making! 😉
Does it seem to anyone else that the phones get more expensive but the features become fewer? The lack of mico-SD is a non-starter for me. I will wait and get a Note 20 + when I upgrade.
@@archimedes2261 Better maybe in some ways, less better in msny more, for the same price, snd the same price as my 2 year old Note 9 512G I got in January 2019. The only main things I can think of that I prefer on my Note 9 is the actual headphone jack, the microSD expansion, and the finger print sensor on the back, but I can live with that. I was going to get another one just like mine, since the battery may be going, because I liked it so much, and them. The Note 20 Ultra 512G, but I could not find any new at Verizon or Samsung. The only new Note 20 Ultra 512G I could find are from several eBay sellers, and you need to pay full price at once.
I traded in my s20 plus for the standard s21. The s20 plus was just to big for me and I could stand the curved screen anymore. Screen protector are a hassle to get on it and they just don’t look good. So Samsung gave me 700 dollars for the s20 plus and got the 256gb s21 for 149 dollars. Which was a steal for a new phone for me IMO.
Thanks Saki for the extra clear criterias for choosing the right phone :-) Although the S21 Ultra is the best of the beast ;-) i'm not sure i need all this in my daily life. I'll surely go for the S21+
@@luckysaadaan8617 While that is true, there is still no excuse for Samsung to remove the microSD card slot. They took away one of the main advantages of owning a Galaxy.
Well my goal was the Samsung FE but I'm considering the S21+ after seeing this video. Thoughts anyone? And excellent video my friend. You are the gold standard. Looking forward to a 200 tips for the new S21 video also....😎
Great video saki- always coming down to the point for us who want to save some money and know the exact specs that’s are worth the purchase- not to be part of the in crowd but what’s the best value for a regular consumer with some to intermediate knowledge 💯
I'm still using a Huawei P20 pro that came out over 3 years ago. The technology developments are interesting, but there aren't any good enough reasons that should make anyone upgrade every two years if their phone is in working order.
@@victorchuks3591 No SD Card Even On S21 Ultra itself is a massive downgrade, though no matter the S21 Ultra even support 120 Hz Adaptive refresh rate and QHD+ Highest resolution at same time
Thank you for clearing this up I was really on the fence about which phone to get so what I heard is go big or go home. You just gained a new follower. Peace and love
Samsung is now trying to compete and copy Apple in each and every aspect.First they mocked apple for not including the charger, and then itself removed the free charger which usually came out of the box in previous phones, and now they are trying to axe out the SD card support, just as Apple do in their iPhone devices.
@@lilycat1694 Absolutely!!!Even though having a note 20 ultra,is OK for me for next few years, but after that if I want an update for next flagship device,I will first check the SD card slot and wireless charging support to it,since these accessories (wireless chargers and SD card) are always available at my home. And if Samsung stupidly axes out SD card permanently even for next upcoming flagship devices like note 21 ultra or S22 ultra(just to compete Apple),it will literally a shame on South Korean Giant,as SD card slot and S-Pen support are major differentiating factor between Samsung flagship devices and Apple's iPhones
Nice no bs review. Will be going for the ULTRA, just wish the size wasn't so big and something smaller had all the specs.. mostly doing it for the camera and the ram
Jeez. I just saw so many people commenting about the fact that no expandable memory is a deal breaker for them, which is weird for me. If you never used an sd card in your phone that's not going to make any difference. I mean that if you have anything on sd cards, you are not going to be able to put anything that is on that sd card in these new phones. If you just can't live with 512 GB of storage than just stop downloading every movie you want to see, it's not efficent and only helps when you want to be able to see it offline. Same with music copies, except saving music on your phone is even more useless. That's the best advice I can give about the sd card situation.
For an extra 200$ you get... Better display - barely, sure brighter is better, to a point...and the 120hz difference between the S21+ and S21 Ultra isn't really noticeable to the human eye S Pen Compatibility - outright useless for 99% of consumers Better Camera - if you really need a camera that good, buy a legitimate camera More RAM - yeah, might be necessary if you keep a lot of work files or photos on your phone Largest Battery - he even said himself this doesn't really matter, its larger because the phone requires more power...the larger battery doesn't mean the phone will last longer So no, the extra 200$ on the Ultra is definitely not worth it
Samsung removing the SD card is a big deal for a lot of people and if you really want to show Samsung that's a problem, don't buy the phone. Samsung's sales go down and they'll realize they made a mistake. They will look for the mistake and realize it's the lack of SD card support. Make them learn is all I have to say.
I've never used an SD card on my phone recently. That's why we have cloud backup like Google drive, etc. No wonder some people are still experiencing lag in samsung.
Earlier i have chosen s 21 plus as i am.using s20 plus now and love curve screen, but after seeing your video push further and changed my mind to s21 ultra.because of better camera and curve screen 😀
Haha I have the S 21 Plus and I love it!!! But I didn't realize a stylus won't work on the screen and it's essential for what I do. Luckily my carrier allows me to return after a few days. I gotta get the Ultra
you get too choose from 3 devices, so that the ultra Phone doesnt look so expensive when comparing each other. Dont forget there are other companies which sell their ultra flagship phone between 600 - 1000 dollars.
Thank you for the video and great description. I am just having a big disagreement on what model makes the best because in my opinion as a Samsung user for almost a decade, the practicality which is a combination of MSRP and features goes with the S21 plus. This model has all essential with an acceptable battery size and large screen and even design. I personally don't like to use my phone as my main screen like what I do with TVs and monitors. Also I am not a super professional photographer so on the ultra I don't see anything else to make up the $200 extra. IF you have a practical need for the Spen then you had better go with the Note series vs Galaxy series!
@@abseiduk The screen quality as our eyes can catch and differentiate is high on all series and definitely much better on the higher end model but not worth the price difference anyway. The RAM does a very different job, though. If the user do multitasking most of the time, then RAM size actually matters and justifies the price difference.
The S21 & S21+ only has 1080p display with ppi value even lower than S9+ & S10+. Does that mean the display of S21 & S21+ will not be as sharp & vivid as S9+ & S10+ & we need to go for S21 Ultra only can match the sharpness & color vividness of the display of S9+ & S10+?
I really wanted the S21 Ultra since its only $200 more for far better camera quality and battery life. I ended up ordering the Plus since everyone said I should :(
The S21 Plus is the best choice for most users. The highest specs don't make for the most appropriate phone for you. BTW, the plastic back on the S21 actually has advantages. It's not necessarily inferior to the glass backs, as you implied.
I went with the plus. Got a good deal via my carrier. You're correct the Plus is the best choice for most people. The Ultra is too big and most people don't use all the camera options/features anyway.
I was really excited for this phone but after the launch samsung really disappointed 🤧🤧 so many things are missing in this phone compare to s20 Now I'm not gonna buy this phone😔😔
After Apple, Samsung also came up with a policy of fooling people..The unexpected downsides to the S21 series - " No SD card slot"🤨. 2) No headphones provided. 3) Samsung has played the "environment card" 😄 and decided to remove the charging adapter from the Galaxy S21 series... Bought the s20 plus phone five months ago was a good decision anyway👍. Got a really good headset and a nice charger in it.. The phone had heating issues when first used and then after formatting , all those problems changed and came out much better...Anyway I declares that, no longer stepping into s21 series.🙏..Those who criticized Apple for replacing the charger are now experiencing worse quality than they are
@ΚΩΝ / ΝΟΣ As much as I like having Spotify as an option, I agree with you on this one. I would much rather have my own music (already purchased and burned from cds) than have to pay - what - $12 a month for music? I have a free trial right now and barely use it. To top it off, some of the music I have on cds isn't on Spotify, so that's another big meh.
Sakitech, I watched your video, but still can't decide. I would like to try the square display, but I don't mind paying the extra $200 for a better phone. Problem with that is the Ultra only has the curved screen. Also, I'm not interested in the S Pen. If I were to get the Ultra, will the phone still work the same? Just really stuck on making a decision. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.
I am a year late here, but I am looking to upgrade to the S21 Plus for a couple of reasons: 1. It is currently on sale at more than 50% off. 2. The S21 Ultra is too large of a phone for me. I am trying to decide whether it is worth waiting for pricing on the S22 to come down. I do not need a new phone (I currently have a 4-year old LG G7 Thinq), but it would be nice to upgrade to newer tech and faster processing speed.
