Might sound weird but a friend thought me that if you put a screen protector in the bathroom you turn the hot water on it eliminates most of the dust in the air…tried it and it really help…random thought but just thought I throw in here lol

Will definitely keep this one in mind. I installed a different brand and it was ok. Seemed that the glue didn't hold to well so I went with the Whitedome as I usually do. There glue always seems to hold well. And so far my fingerprint sensor has work pretty much perfect. I'd say out of 20 trys you'll get it 19. And without having to hard press. Also thanks for mentioning to viewers trying not to open packaging over the glue. I alway try not to open anything over the phone once the screen is cleaned.

Great video. I messed up on dropping the glass the way you recommend, so I ended up with a couple of big bubbles. Decided to just chase them out with my finger. Maybe I messed it up, but I figured if I was going to have to redo it, I might as well go through the process with the messed up one and see what happens. Ended up with two micro-bubbles. Still looks better than any other screen protector I've ever installed before! Hope it holds up. And I still have the spare if I do need to replace it.

What happens if you want to take it off? How easy is it to remove and will it leave glue residue?

@@jakirhussain4727 Use a blow dryer or heat gun to heat it and it comes off. If you do it slowly it comes off without cracking. No residue at all.

1 tip I would've mentioned in the video is to take some pieces of scotch tape and put them over the speaker grill as well as the 4 sides of the phone to avoid the adhesive touching those (kind of like the Whitestone Dome).

They both work about the Same. Just make sure you press hard or very firmly when re-registering. I find that makes all the difference for some reason.

@@jackjira If you have an Ultra, this Amfilm Ultra Glass and the Whitestone Dome are basically your only options if you want your fingerprint reader to work with a glass protector. I have tried them both. I would start with the Amfilm Ultra Glass as it's a little cheaper and this is your install vid/ directions. Mine have worked great in the past if you install them correctly.

You should also use an alcohol pad after the 1st curing process to clean up any excess glue before the second curing.

I think Mowei has best quality glass and fingerprint sensor. The reason I took it off and went with WSD is bc the glass covered the front facing camera.

I bought some generic no name brands tempered glass creen protector for my S22U, it's the same installation and so far so good. I would say the fingerprint sensor works about 95% of the time. The one I got cost about 5 bucks less then am film. Also the one I got has a UV light that covers the entire phone and it's usb-c, and tbh it doesn't look as janky as the one AMFilm gives you, lol, it looks like that UV light was a afterthought for AmFilm

I wanted to try the weight trick with the Whitestone dome so I peeled the screen off and put the extra one on using a stack of washers taped together over the sensor just like you did in this video. Now the fingerprint sensor works 10x better.

@@TechnicallyTee Another trick of you get areas around the edge that don't have glue on them, like you mentioned in the video, take a tube of the glue and remove the cap from 1 end only. Then carefully put it on the corners of the glass with no glue, and the glue will wick into the void. Then run the light on it again and it will be perfect.

I installed this. it's great and I don't have that hideous circle from the weight because right before you use uv light. remove the weight..its wayyyy less noticeable than if you cure with weight on there. and it's still perfect fingerprint recognition. the weight slightly bends the glass at the spot after you move weight it's still bent for a minute just cure it quickly at that finger spot

Whitestone Dome and Amfilm Ultra Glass are nearly identical. Whitestone has a very slight edge in quality and its a hair thicker. Amfilm Ultra Glass is great as well, a little thinner and you can see a slight circle where you put the weight while it cures. The key to assuring perfect fingerprint reading is a great install and pressing HARD when re-registering your finger prints. I also think Whitestones coating lasts longer, barely. You can't go wrong with either. Except Amfilm Ultra Glass is now only made for the Ultra no S22 reg or S22+.

Tee I got these delivered couple days ago and installed on my GF s22 ultra & she likes it better than the WSD and I have to say it's a easier installation process, as I'm the one who does these things. I still have my WSD on my phone, as I've not had any issues still but will be installing the AMfilm when I need to change it

If you push the glass with your thumb towards the front camera on the left and right of the curved edges, can the glass be pushed out over the display? In my opinion, this is the biggest problem between tempered glass and Edge Display. You quickly have dust, dirt, etc. between the glass and the display.

what I do to see most of the dust is to grab my flashlight (the one that attaches to my head hahaha) and it basically illuminates the screen and helps me see the dust more

Same. This trick has yet to disappoint. I try to minimize the time between grabbing the screen (after liquid has been placed) and catching all the dust particles with my sticker---super nerve racking. I was even using the dust sticker and flashlight after I placed the glue on the phone 😅

Thank you. I notice you used both bottles of glue...so if two are supposed to be used does that mean no glue left if you need to install the second protector in the future? Also I noticed no sticker for protecting the ear/speaker?

Third time is the charm. The average consumer wouldn't be thrilled to have two failed attempts like you had. I did do a slow drop and still had tiny bubbles at the top and bottom. I noticed you used the prep wipe first then the wet wipe, which is the opposite per their video on Amazon and website. I felt my bubbles were from the prep pad because it has an oily texture. Anyways, my second install I avoided the prep wipe and no tiny bubbles. What made you use the prep wipe first?

I have some questions about this type of screen protector. Why is wet glue needed to put on the protector (why not have an adhesive on the screen and stick to the screen)? Is there a chance for the glue to leak down past the screen and ruin the phone? How hard is it to remove and will the glue ruin the screen if removed? This was a great video and been watching all your s22 ultra videos. Thank you!

There's dozens upon dozens of reviews where the adhesive seeped into the ear piece speaker and ruined people's phones. Why they wouldn't include a sticker to put over that like Whitestone is a massive oversight.

I have a Whitestone on mine and I was going to ask the same thing,,it seems a little simpler but after buying a unlocked 1tb phone and waiting over a month to get it,,I would b pretty sick if the earpiece got messed up,but the concept is definitely simpler

@@hankhill6569 so I bought the Am film and I can confirm there are 5 stickers for removal of dust for each screen. So 10 total in the package. There's also two strips of cardboard included to protect the side buttons... So really only the top speaker hole is at risk and some adhesive did try to drop down into the hole but as long as u follow instructions u shouldn't have a problem with it. And wipe it off as soon as u notice it. No biggie

Great video! only problem i'm having is the bubble is SUPER noticeable over the fingerprint sensor and hasn't gotten better hours later. I already got my free replacement in the mail, not sure what I did wrong here EXCEPT i put the glue bubbles on the line, instead of inside the rectangle? Maybe that was it.

I have been using amFilm for several years now, with several different phones and with different applications, like UV light to cure the adhesive,etc. This is a fantastic company, with fantastic produts. You can even register your product for a warranty, and they are great at replacing it if you damage it. Not very many companies that I would go out of my way to brag about, but this is one of them!
