I got my 23 Ultra today, moving from iPhone 12. Pretty overwhelmed by customisability and depth of features. What stands out to me is the speed and fluidity of it, the sharpness and brightness of the screen and yes, the camera. Yet to try it outside in daylight but I know what it's capable of. Also, it's a heavy phone! Not inconveniently so, just 'chonky'
I usually get bored with a new phone after few weeks but 8 weeks with the s23 ultra and I'm still excited about it. The free 256gb has been a blessing as I never have to monitor my phone's space.
I've had the S8+, S10+, S21U, and this S23U is by far the sweetest and best I have ever had. I changed every two years, but now, this one will be a 3 to 4 years phone.
@Brett Giddings The s23 ultra is the phone we all been waiting for the performance is butter no lag at all nothing jerky at all whole os, & the battery is 8-9 hrs whole day sot not even close to being warm throughout, I had them all note 20, 21 ultra, 22 ultra battery hog, bad cooling that throttled the performance couldn't even compare
Can I use a dash charger of 18 watts for the time being it's my OnePlus 6t charger, I know it will take alot longer but is it safe to do so while I enable fast charging ?
That's a good question. Generally it should be fine. The phone can only charge as fast as the chargers output. The limit is either the charger or the phone, whatever is lower. I have a few Samsung chargers from various devices upto 18w, but also got a genuine Samsung 25w charger. Some brands do not recommend using other brands charger. The bit about saving on waste is silly, because the previous charger may be sent along with the phone it came with! So anyone buying a phone may need to buy a charger.
The routines feature really is one that can very easily be overlooked and forgotten about, or seem just plain uninteresting and probably not at all useful. I had an S21 for year and a half and never used it, but now, for some reason, on the S23 Ultra I took a deep look into it and was impressed with that can be done, and how easy it is to the point I have a few routines set up that I use daily.
Curious, maybe someone in the comments would know if the EU spec S22 Ultra and the Pixel 6/6 Pro phones chipsets, both being Exynos, if they share any similarities. I mainly ask cause I didn't notice these issues of the phone warming up doing random tasks with my Pixel 6 like Alex mentions he encountered with his EU Exynos powered S22 Ultra.
U will regret it if u upgrade to flip series... At least for now. Battery and camera still not comparable to S series. In foldable phone, Samsung still focusing on hinge and screen thingy which they still research for the best between durability, usability and esthetic. After that, they will focusing on battery, camera and other hardware to be same level with S series.. Untill then, i will stay on S series.
@Salman Salman dude, you don't watch what Alex Dobie said in this video? Xiaomi phones always have a divisive UI of MIUI which for some seems too overwhelming for them. S23 Ultra is not much more expensive while providing a more consistently fluid experience. Xiaomi honestly should focus on where made them the most money, midrange and budget segments.
I see someone's photo of the Moon on the S23, talk about amazed how far it zoomed to it. I don't know whether it's old age, yet these days i've got more sense to spend hundreds or over a thousand on phones, the price to usage isn't worth it.
I hope u to talk about washed out display...black level are so poor.. april update slightly fixed over exposure and saturation. But still need improvement...i dont know if its a hardware issue... Im pissed off. 😡
Why do reviewers never talk about the Samsung & Android bloatware. My system files take up over 70GB of the 128. That is just misleading customers. Only way to reduce that is rooting… Not an apple fan, but how can they work with 20GB? We need something better on the “other side”
The Ultras have never been as great as fanboys pretend it is. Oversized to no end and without BASIC features like expandable storage and a headphone jack. It's a garbage "me too" phone that doesn't actually offer anything special to the users.
I have both pixel 7 and s23 ultra. Love both. But Sammy is the real deal, less hiccups than the pixel and way better features, almost every feature I would want, by feature I mean ability to customize the phone. The other day I got one 9 hours screen in time. Can't commission
I don't know, people are getting over Samsung! Way too many gimmicks still. The qualcom processor is still a little janky at times. I'm just going to stick with the pixel, better software. Real world speed is basically the same. Not to mention the s pen is a total gimmick. Your phone is designed for thumbs, not styli. And don't tell me I needed to sign documents. You're on a phone. The document knows your on the phone so it's just going to ask you to check the box indicating that you signed your name. Saying you need it to sign your name on documents. Isn't saying anything at all! All in all, the s23 ultra is a good phone, but it's not a phone for the masses. The pixel is just a much better fit for more people and people are starting to see that! Samsung needs to get rid of the bloatware get that system memory down to less than 60 GB because that's absolutely insane. Android only uses 13 GB. How are all your gimmicks more than the entire operating system?
Lol no. The masses don't care about a "fast" or "stock android" experience. They just want class leading battery life and the best cameras on the market. That's why the S23 Ultra is the android phone everyone wants. Not the pixel
Who the heck wants the pixel? I just sold my pixel 7 pro because it would lag and had too many bugs. Front facing camera was trash and battery life was trash. The phone would overheat while video recording. Dude these phones are not even in the class. Pixels are for people who want a second class phone for a low price. I had the 7 pro and 6 pro series. Let not forget the poor reception the phones have. Stop it!
Stock android better? Its 2023 bro.. U are true if u said it in 2019 backward.. And no, pixel was not born for a flagship, Google never serious to build it.
This doesn’t apply to the s23 ultra. Maybe before I felt like it’s bloatware the issue but the pixels I had were trash and my girls s23 ultra is amazing and a huge improvement from how crappy the s22 ultra was. Also it’s way better than her iPhone 12 Pro Max that was crapping out already. It feels faster than my iPhone 13 and other androids I have. Pixels have terrible hardware issues and software is still buggy on them even being stock. S23 has had next to no issues and the reviews online prove it. Once they put a good battery in it to actually last with that software and hardware that doesn’t break easily then pixels can become good oh and when they go back to snapdragon cause that custom exynos that Samsung makes btw gets too hot
Samsung Sucks. I used to be a fan back in the day. I hate the curved screen. I hate all their bloat ware slowing the phone down and their extremely over priced. Still using my TCL10 5GUW Verizon from a few years back when it released and it's the best phone for me. It has a flat screen that doesn't break when dropped with my case on, like Samsungs did. It's not full of bloat, and it was the right price!
@@carver9312 I sure did pal. It's a great phone. It's very snappy. It takes great photos. It's got a cleaner and uncluncked interface like Scamsng. The video is great. The battery lasts longer than when I had Scamsung. I don't know why this guy's video shows up in my recommendations. I don't look up anything Samsung.
@@akgstone it does none of that and it's funny you're comparing that boo boo to the S23 Ultra. It's cheap for a reason. I wouldn't even use that phone for free.
