I'm very happy with the update for the vivid setting, I find it beautiful to look at. 😊

The current configuration appears to be satisfactory. My personal preference is to set the level to 2 of Vividness 😅

It's only slightly vivid. There's barely a change. I updated mine and it's only slightly vivid. I'm starting to think that the hardware was designed to be natural and the natural colors was intentional, just like samsung said when they stated they wanted the colors to be natural. I guess we have to wait for the s25u if want those full, vivid colors back.

There is something more in this new update that I noticed which most people did not notice yet. The charging speeds of S24U with 45W Samsung adaptor in 30min earlier was about 65% and now it is 71%.

[QUESTION] Were you guys able to watch QHD / 4k HDR content on S23 ultra through for example Amazon prime video? I try everything so far and I still only manage to play it in full hd resolution with no HDR indication ;/ What are yours experience with this ?

Can you please answer this question for me Obviously when eye comfort is on the vivid enhancement doesn’t work I am aware of that. But my question is since the update is the eye comfort ON with Enhenced comfort provide better results than vivid/advanced? In this video you seem to show this option works better in s24 ultra and then s23 ultra So I am wondering if update fixed the display do you think the eye comfort also improved compare to before? What about the Brightness..my S23U is brighter then the S24U..anybody else exp it also?. I should have kept my S23U.... Also i hope another conpany makes a good anti reflective tempered glass for it.

Great video VST , please talk about the grainyness problem 🙏🏻 looks really bad looks like jean / sand/ grainy/ noisy texture when looking the screen on gray colour(like the settings app in dark mode) at low brightness, try watching the screen in a dark room , Samsung must listen and fix this !!!!

I saw Display Vividness on a few S24 Ultra phones, I saw it in stores when I tested it, there was barely any difference in color saturation, I don't know what it depends on, in one S24 there was a difference visible and in another one it was barely visible and I don't understand why Samsung introduced this function only on s24 ultra, not the s23 series, because in some copies there are washed out colors after updating to ui 6.1, the same features that will not be introduced on the s23, that you can set the resolution yourself in old phones like s8 or s10, there are better colors than now in new smartphones from Samsung

If you download activity Launcher you can search color adjustment and you can make the display vivid on s23 that settings was removed

I don't use the vividness slider on my S24 Ultra. The first time I tried it and went outside to take pictures everything turned red-green and then the sunny parts of the pictures turned way yellowish, I put it off right away.

I received the update yesterday evening and I can strongly say that after update it fix the vividness issue. Now we have even more vivid display with 2 options

I had a S10 Plus and even with this update the S24 plus is still less vivis than the s10, sometimes it looks better because feels more natural but in game where you want enhance colors it definetely makes a difference for.me the s10 is way more vivid, anyone feels the same? For the most premium cellphone it sure could be more vivid

After I played with the vividness settings I went right back to the way it was before the update. I confirmed that I hate unnatural looking displays, particularly where photos are concerned. I'm sure some like fake color, but not me.

I have the galaxy s24 ultra I was not hapoy with the colour i put in in to the advance settings it helped a bit however it still not right in end of may 2024 HELP

why y'all ain't do the gradient tests? That's where my S24 still fails spectacularly after the update. so much banding, doesn't matter if it is in natural or vivid. 2 of the Base S24 are both the same. This means I'm still not getting all of the colours I should be getting.

I think it matters how you set up your camera. To me the whole time your S24 U looked vivid to ultra vivid both times surpassing the old gen.

Why some complain so much just return it or do something about it.

i thing is the HDR do to the color Contrast yellow. in pc i try to ajust the Contrast is BLUE + WHITE.S24 U i try it ,it now update is white+blue,but in the app(ebay,paypal...) is white+blue+yellow(grey)maybe...but i thing is ok 🤔

Finally a working fix I have found ... My samsung galaxy s24 Ultra screen is now alive

1 tap is like S23 U and max S21 U.. i set it middle 🙃 I was already used to the original version.. but now there is a choice.. this translater is poor.. näyttää kääntävän miten sattuu näitä 😂 finnish langue is so easy translate 😵‍💫

People here are happy with the new vivid option and they see it as a new Samsung feature, when in reality is just Samsung fixing a bug which shouldn't have been on the S24 Ultra at all. This frenzy is similar to Apple bringing USB C to its iPhones, which they didn't do it because they wanted, but because the EU regulations forced them to do it, but in the iPhone 15 Pro Max presentation, Apple showed the USB C thing as a new feature and an inovation. What a joke!

I hope Man Samsung implemented this settings on s23/s22 series. Im disapointed. Soo much oversaturated my s23u. 😢 I love natural colors, but if i change settings to Natural its washout . Definitley not natural. And vivid soo much. 😢

How are the cameras? The vividness is not really my concern at all, but what concern me the most, is are the cameras improved?

If these washed out colors are Samsungs "new trend and intention towards more natural look", why didn't they announce it while presenting the device ? It's kinda misleading to customers not to say a word about it. But using their phones for 7 years straight, I'd say it's their error. "Fixing" it with updates and endless debating if it's "fixed" or not just shows how much respect they have for customers. This display problem alone (not to speak about terrible camera performance) should not be acceptable at this price range. It's no wonder they sell less and less S devices every year.

: The vibrant n saturated resolution is a basic need for a smartphone....it is what pops the screen to the eyes.. S24 being a premium phone, this issue mustn't exist for a " Flagship " phone of 2024...😅 Its not even funny 😂....

The update has a marginal impact. The S24 Ultra still quite washed our compared to my Z Fold 3, unfortunately.

S24 ultra is the best phone i have ever used. Love it more than my fold 5 or any apple phone! Its a fame changer, i hope to see if i can keep it longer than my regular phone cycle. Bet it will still rock even after 3 to 4 years

Are you kidding? It is June and watching videos on the S24u is still not as contrasty as on my note 9 only in full manual it is brighter but not better. wtf. S24u is a scam? Is your S23 broken? How come I can't see any "better" in youtube watching on my Note9 vs S24u?

That HDR in window function you marvel at, has been present on Huawei, Honor, Oppo or Xiaomi smartphones for the past 3-4 years. S24 Ultra finally has it although it doesn't have yet a 10 bit high quality display with 68B colors, or support for Dolby Vision. Still mediocre and overpriced.

I hate this phones display! The colors are awful, and it became even worse after the update. I went back to using my S22 ultra.

The difference is small.. still washed out colours.. still grainy display.. my edge 30 ultra display is miles better my friend.. i wanted to replace with s24 ultra i bought it already.. and here I'm complaining about this piece of sh....t !!
