Totally agree. From what I understand, an Android user needs an Apple account, and must provide access to Beeper. I have switched between the two over the years, and so my Apple account has personal stuff that I want secured, including payment cards (sometimes dip into AppleTV, needing an Apple account). I simply couldn't trust a 3rd party with my Apple account. NB for my family, the biggest gotcha messaging between us has been emojis, being charged for MMS. The reason I am here, is because I am looking to see if this is still a problem, as my wife sent a 'thumbs up' from iphone to my android, and I don't think it was charged ...so, are emojis finally just sent as text (supported by messaging apps 'globally')? I am still looking for a definitive answer ...

Jeff for some reason I can't get connected to Beeper, I've downloaded to my Chromebook, installed the linx. Signed in to beeper with my email, also receive the sixth digit confirmation code , That and it's still sends me back to the start position. Can you help me get into experience this app that you assured me is way better than sunburn. Because some bird is not working that well for me right now.😂

Nope.. you'll need get ur phone number working for imessage independently. There's ways to do it.. easiest way is to have an old iphone with ur active sim connect to imessage and then u swap the sim out

I have tried both and found them both to be glitchy personally. Using beeper now and it's definitely worth the wait.
