That's actually very easy, props to samsung for making it easy to replace the battery, and not have it die and leave the whole watch useless like my moto 360.

My wife and i got galaxy 4 watches 8 months ago I got the 44mm and she the 40mm. My wife's Samsung Galaxy 4 watch stopped working one day wouldn't charge or turn on not even lightning bolt. Tried all the troubleshooting holding power buttons etc.. then mine worked fine and put on the charger and next day nothing won't charge turn on and no lightning bolt. Very strange that both of ours did the same thing. We have tried different charging cables and boxes too still nothing. I brought it to a shop and they had it for a month then I called and they said (with uncertainty) it was the battery most likely but to know I need to pay 190.00 then they will see if that was the problem. Has anyone experienced this issue they worked fine one day then next day nothing. No water damage either. Thank you for the help

Yes the exact thing happened to my 46mm galaxy 4 classic. I am trying to take it apart using this video as reference to see what the problem might be. update: I was able to open up the watch as shown in the video, removed the Li-Ion battery (EB-BR890ABY) and ordered a replacement battery from Amazon for $33. I hope this will fix the problem.

@Sanjin Gorta I got a new battery and replaced the old one, however, the problem persists. It looks like the main control board is bad because it shows a small crack. The watch stays dead no matter what combination of buttons I push (as recommended by other videos).

@Duy Tu Ive seen videos where you can use a cheap infared camera to detect faults in the board. Still potentially fixable

@KS technology... Hello.. my watch 4 44mm BT screen is flickering and is all white now. I had used the watch while I was in fresh water for sometime. Took to service center and they are saying its water damage and asking me to buy a new watch. The watch is still connecting to phone via bluetooth and I too a screenshot on the watch which got saved on my phone too. I suspect everything working other than the screen. Can you help?

My watch stopped working after wearing it snorkelling. (Galaxy Watch 4 Classic). Would taking it apart and cleaning/drying it fix it? Or is it fried? Btw, I know I shouldn't wear it in saltwater, but I did swim/snorkel in the ocean approximately 50 times over the last two years and it was fine. I guess I thought mine was special, haha.

I have a question. Since the battery isn't on the back part you removed with the sensor....can you replace it with a standard backing and just remove the sensor entirely? Would it still work?

Why would you remove the sensors tho? That's one of the main purposes of a smart watch... You could just buy a normal watch if you don't want the sensors. Also you can disable automatic heart rate and stress detection in the settings

@Bogdan Didic um no. Up until Apple started adding Fitness tracking into SmartWatches they were never about Fitness most smart watches didn't have anything more than a heart monitor in them and even those came in later iterations. That's why they were Fitness bands and fitness trackers..Smart watches do a lot more than just Fitness tracking...and I use many of those other features. I don't have time to get into why asked...it was for a project. And I'm already well past it

@@chuckrichardson83 android wear had fitness features even before the first apple watch released. I used my moto 360 back in 2014 and that had its own motorola trackers but I installed another app and used that for a while. Plus all the regular stuff
