Next person who says shenanigans gets Pistol whipped! Hey Farva! What's that place you like with The Mozzarella sticks and all the goofy shit on the walls called again?
I have been using the 44mm version of the Watch 5 and get around 2 to 2 and half days worth of battery. With all the offers in trade ins Samsung is offering and also the free gifts it does help lower the price of the watch quite a bit
I know the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is great but I think this and it's 44mm version is still good. And it's a great way to dress it up to something possibly close to what you want it to be. If I have one of those, I'd probably turn it into a Watch 4 classic with the stainless steel bracelet and a Ringke bezel.
I agree, to me the pro is just TOO thick. Well, maybe not for some but I'm going from not wearing a watch to trying my first smart watch. I figured choosing a smaller one increased my chances of sticking with it. I picked up one in blue though...not sure what to do with it looks wise.
@@justinkase1360 Same reason I prefer the regular version. So many people walk around with way too big watches and sure it draws attention but often it looks quite goofy. Slim and discreet design can look so much more natural
have been using this watch LTE version since 8/21. I personally love this watch. For my lifestyle, I do the same as you and charge it as I get ready in the morning and I find it charged fully before I'm ready for coffee. I admit that I am not the most active person and I am getting all my music through my phone. This has been extremely useful for me to start out with health tracking. I have always wanted to do better when it came to taking care of myself but have been very unsuccessful over numerous "resolutions". This little thing has been the best thing for me to date on this goal. I love getting the little notifications reminding me to log my meal, sleep assistance tips, and and reminders to get up and move. I also have the new buds pro 2 and the reminders to stretch my neck are also great. Samsung has impressed me with this latest batch of tools in this ecosystem all are working well together for me. I also got the Flip 4 (went for the full tech upgrade) and am extremely happy with my upgrade.
Why is Samsung not able to put a decent sized battery in there. It's not that the smart watch is super thin. Look at the amazfit watches they last well over a week!!! And are half the price
I went for the watch 5 44mm. Now that the physical rotating bezel is gone the difference in price to the pro model is too high. The none pro model looks better in my opinion.
LOL door frames.... I wear a Garmin Fenix 6x .... Luckily the outer edge is all metal, and surprisingly well anodised. I hit it so many times with door frames, window frames, trees, rocks, bike frames, car doors EVERYWHERE ... not lately though. After about banging it 50 times against objects, you kind of learn that your body has an awkward extension and you are self-aware of it ...
You've just swayed my decision to go ahead and purchase this lol 😆 been umming and arring for a while... only annoying bit sounds like the battery life 🙈 I the pros definitely out weigh this 😁
I've just bought this watch £219 - 50 trade in plus 75 quid adidas voucher. I love it, fits my childlike wrist perfectly, really comfy. Im really happy with it so far.
From my own experience, i could say GW5 PRO is just AMAZING! I just got it last week... and already test it in the outdoors (was hiking on the steep mountains to be specific) so even bumped on the sharp rock with my watch face/glass and not even the smallest/micro cracks, or whatsoever... i was just amazed/shocked about the superior built quality itself the: titanium material case, and sapphire watch face... this watch is a total tank in the outdoors! very durable... at last something even for the outdoors from - Samsung...
@@juricaskrlec6365 Hello, two days with medium usage, and maybe 3 days with low usage. I've used this watch in the outdoors for 8 hours straight with Strava (sports) app on and GPS on, and when i returned home, there was about 53% still left the battery juice. I hope it helped you :)
Got the Samsung Galaxy watch 4 a few weeks ago. Absolutely loving it. Works well with my OnePlus phone. One thing I don't like is the 1 day battery life. But even that I got used to. Samsung makes great smart watches.
@@ABITOFTHISANDTHAT12 well my budget is tight so do i go for watch 4 which is half the price here in India compared to 5 or should I spend more (unlikely) for watch 5 ?
No matter how many times i watch smart watch videos i still can’t justify the price for a watch that lasts maybe 1 year over buying a proper outdoor watch like a gshock which lasts for 20+ years
@jeman batosa you can change the battery no problem, still 7 years for a 100$ investment however these plastic toys last less than a year and cost like 4 gshocks
@@yousefkhalil3052 battery degrades over time especially on apple watch if you charge it every day by the sixth month the battery will degrade to 80% which will not last you even 6 hours immagine having a watch that you can look only for 6 hours per day. If you really want a smart watch buy something cheap because you know you will change it next year the best option is huawei fit 2 its like 100$ with performance of an apple watch se
There's no legitimate reason to purchase the Galaxy Watch 5 (pro) instead of the Galaxy Watch 4 (classic), as the two models share the same software and are nearly identical to each other. The key difference between the two being the Galaxy Watch 4 is $150 cheaper and has a functional bezel. In other words, the Galaxy Watch 5 is for people who don't know any better.
Great video. I read somewhere that you have to have a Galaxy phone to use some of the features. Is that true and if so, what features require a Galaxy phone?
Can you use the bood pressure feature and ecg feature in the UK? Iv heard some country's it don't work. Iv got the 44mm graphite grey coming tomorrow or Tuesday. I have a samsung s22 phone.
Anyone claiming this watch is durable is bs'ing. I caught mine on a lampshade hanging from my ceiling, not a hard glass shade, the brittle kind, and it's marked my watch bezel. Samsung really need to step up their game, and give their products a 'dlc' coating.
_"This dinky 40 mill version is a perfect fit for slender, feminine or child-like wrists"_ *Said absolutely no one who actually understands how a watch is supposed to sit on your wrist.* Everyone is walking around with oversized watches without even knowing how clownish it looks.
Started with the 44m G5 then returned it for the 40mm. It was just too big, not heavy, but big. Battery management is not as good on the 40mm but a quick charge in the morning while I shower and get ready is plenty. Personally I don't get the pro. Just buy a 44m, slap on a Spighen protective case, and Voila...pretty much a Pro without the additional costs and weight.
You need to wait for the Watch5 to learn it's usage. I have the Watch4 and the battery life was terrible for a day. After a week, it started to last over a day.
How about the samsung health app compare to fitbit app? Do the app tell you how many workouts you did in a week like in a fitbit in a simple way and reminds you to work out when you are missing a day? which app is more enjoyable?
I was much more interested in knowing how well it works with third party apps. Samsung health is not comprehensive and I want to know how well it is customized.
40mm is plenty big enough for larger wrists as well. I have a 8½" wrist and most of my traditional watches range from 42mm-38mm. My favorite watch in my collection (rolex explorer ii) is a 40mm.
@shreedevis5425 buy what you like, my man. Id suggest wearing around for a day or two. The 40 will be more comfortable than the 44 in the long run. The 40mm might seem small at first, but once you wear it for a day it will seem fine.
@@pyro-light so far I have had no really bad issues with any of the tracking features, sleep ass far as I am aware is accurate for me. The only weird one is when swimming and performing backstroke, it rarely doesn't count a length.
Whose going straight for the Galaxy 6 now? I just called Samsung to trade in my GalaxyWatch (OG), and they said they'll give me $75. The GW6 is still pretty pricey, I'd be happy with the 5. Ha! My OG has reached "end of life" they said. 😂
Debating on getting the watch... but that bezel is redicously ugly. They can give curved bezeless phones but the smart watch needs a .25" bezel? Hmmmm.... they need step it up on the gw6... Also very funny the apple watch has curved screen no bezel but their phone is complete opposite. And the samsung watch is just like an apple phone.... Ass backwards 🤣🤣
I know the watch 6 is out but im getting the $200 cheaper watch 5 silver with a purple band I love the watch 6 bands better I heard it can fit the 5 which is good
Had the watch active 2 for 17 months...few issues i had were... 1)when I would play music on it on water proof mode in the shower... 2) when I would play music and use a timer it would overheat and turn off... 3) when I made calls it would overheat ans turn off... 4) finally it died when i was charging it while it was on im guessing it overheated(normally i charged it off)...hopefully this watch 5 took care of those issues
Hi there. I'm just about to return my Watch 5 after a half day of usage. As it turns out the advanced health features: namely BP monitoring and ECG are restricted to Samsung smart phones only. These were the main selling points for me and without them I just end up with a functionality of a much cheaper smart watch... It is annoying....
not much i was going to swap my galaxy watch 4 classic for the watch 5 but i dont see it as a worth while upgrade if anything apart from battery its a downgrade the watch 4 can do everything the 5 can so why waste money. ill wait till the watch 6.
@@darkyangel09 the 4 classic has the rotating bezel but looking at the watch 4 and 5 from the front you can't tell the difference. The watch 5 will have slightly bigger battery and temperature sensor which is not active yet.
@@Mike.Tech. i wouldn't care much about the functions though, to me it's meh, not bad, without the rotating bezel it's a big nope for me, i'm keeping the 4
If you check other reviews where they actually test it you will notice that sgw5 is more accurate with all fitness tracking then sgw4 if that is something you r looking for in a smart watch
What are you going to use a fitness band for cuz I know right here people talk about smart watches your main complaint is the battery is trash like absolute trash but yeah fitness trackers in my opinion are much better simply because the battery lasts for the least part like around 5 to 7 days depending on how you use it and if you use less features I just bought the Xiaomi mi band 6 and it's really nice credible battery The fit is pretty good too it's waterproof battery charges fast screen is very nice cuz it's all lead and oh wait I said it's OLED there you go I use it when I work out you can track my workouts and give me a like a chart on everything so just a bunch of stuff but if I were you I'll get the Xiaomi mi band 7 it's the newest one they're they're very cheap it's only like 50 bucks right now If you need anything more expensive just check out the reviews or feel free to ask
Everyone talks about it measures your heart rate this blabla - does it actually tell you whether you improved through that session? TomTom (discontinued) used to do that. A discontinued watch Vs a latest release
I'd really like to see you do more Apple product reviews. Not because I want to see them but rather, I like watching you grimace and boil up inside every time you touch something from oNe iNfInItE lOoP 😅
I like tech spurt is a normal human being, you charge every morning when you wake up so no need to always complaining of charging at night but you wanna monitor your sleep with your watch
My wrist is about 13,5 - 14 cm. Do you think that the galaxy watch 5 in 40mm will be good at my wrist? I don't want a big watch. What about your wrist?
Still wear my Galaxy Watch 2 cause its battery is still good for about 3 to 4 days without charging (display only turns on by pressing a button though). I got so used to it, I doubt I would be happy with a Smartwatch that needs to be charged every single day.
I'm using the watch 5 pro and loving it. There is only 1 main struggle for me, when you are tattoot the watch dus not always recognise you are waring it.
