Anytime I consider a tech purchase I immediately go to Flossy's channel. I picked up the S24 Ultra last week going from the S22 Ultra. I switched ecosystems a few years ago and never looked back

After watching this video I pre ordered the watch 7 ultra in silver titanium with the black peakform band. I currently have the watch 6 regular. But traded in my watch 4 classic and got a whopping 300$ trade in credit lol. Im waiting for a video with all the cool stylish bands and maybe even the bling roating bezel caps
Im a Samsung Knight but i have tried all 3 ecosystems (Apple, Samsung, and Google) and i prefer the Galaxy ecosystem so ima pick up the Watch Ultra (upgrading from the Watch5)

I remember all my friend had watches that could make calls before apple even had a watch. Then they came out with a watch at it was just a Bluetooth accessory. This is almost 10 years ago.
same, time to retire my watch 4 classic and I kid you not, about 2 days after i preordered the new watch ultra. my 4 classic died. the screen turned white and totally unusable
I always appreciate that you always have older models to compare to in your videos. It's not always just about the new device details, but rather is it worth it
I switched to the Ultra for 2 reasons: 1. Samsung gave me more trade-in money for my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic than I paid for it. 2. The Ultra's battery life is better than the 6. The rotating bezel is a bad trade for a much lower battery. Repeatedly charging the 6 is very annoying.
No powershare is a deal breaker for me as I never bring my watch charger on trips. I just used powershare with my phone. While so many reviewers glossed over this fact during their reviews, Flossy keeps it real! Thanks for the thorough review!
Finally saw this watch at Best Buy and it's beautiful. Aside from the band, people saying this looks like an Apple Watch is talking nonsense. Ain't no way in hell anyone gonna confuse this with an Apple Watch in person.
In my wife's job there are many people eavedropping, for her the watch and the buds have been A PRIORITY. She also can't not answer her boss, so the notification and vibration from her watch has been a life saver. So I'm heavily considering this lineup for her as a gift because this is a big upgrade from what she currently has.

I got quite a giggle from a lot of comments saying that samsung is copying apple The squircle shape on smartwatches was first introduced by Samsung in 2017 with the Gear S Sport, while Apple introduced their first Ultra watch in 2022... And even then, the design choice is also nearly a century old dating back to the 1920s The Ultra naming then? Introduced by Samsung in 2020, 2 years before Apple started using it on their watches. Though, it was first used for their top tier phones, and Sony first used in 2013! Finally, the orange colour HAS to be a copy of Apple right? Nope, it's from the S3 Frontier from 2016, since orange is highly visible underwater this colour has been widely used in underwater activities All in all, no one really thought of something first, don't jump on the bandwagon too quickly, most tech-related stuff isn't that revolutionary design-wise

This was the perfect time to make this watch perfect and to out-do Apple, but I think they gonna make us wait for either a Pro/Ultra one year and Classic the next 😔
For a rugged watch it makes since to remove a moving piece, not to mention the better waterproofing. Seems also like Samsung is making a Rugged watch one year, a classic the next and repeating. So I'm willing to bet the watch 8 classic or it's equivalent will have a rotating bezel.

Nobody talks about the way Apple calls for Samsung to help them with their screens, and glass technology, lol. I love everything Samsung. Nobody is killing it like they do.
It's called competitive advantage and all companies do it. It doesn't make sense to make parts when you can outsource it to a company that has already been doing it and both companies benefit. Capitalism, baby! Samsung has manufactured electronics parts for a very long time. On the flip side, Apple makes all of its own software, whereas almost all other phone makers outsource the OS from Google.
All this while Samsung as a company itself lives in the 1990s regarding work culture and employee rights. (PS.: don’t ever buy a car that has Samsung SDI battery cells)
It's outsourcing, Apple doesn't need help making screens, they use Samsung to cut costs rather than build a factory. All the R&D is done in house at Apple, then given to Samsung for them to use their resources, time and equipment to make the screens. Guess who else does this? Google and Motorola

Taking a likeness or idea from another company isn't a deal, Apple didn't say "hey make a "Ultra" watch of your own, here's the schematics, just give us 3% of each sale". Samsung probably just procured an Apple Watch, dissected it and mirrored it to make one of their own.

I used to have the Galaxy Watch (2018) with the rotating bezel, and then I upgraded to the Galaxy Watch 5 with the haptic bezel. At first, I missed the physical bezel, but now I don't mind it at all. While the physical bezel looks classier, the haptic bezel works perfectly fine. It would work even better with raised edges like the Ultra model. I believe Samsung didn't include the rotating bezel on the Ultra because they wanted to ensure it performs well in extreme conditions, such as very cold weather or sea diving, where a rotating bezel might be a potential weakness. I don’t do sports or workouts, but I wanted to upgrade from the Watch 5 to the Ultra. I love its design and specs! I’ve already pre-ordered it in France, and it’s arriving on July 26th! 😍
That’s just an excuse to keep selling the Watch 6 Classic, that’s why they didn’t discontinue it. Google Military Grade watches with rotating bezels, they have more rugged specs than this watch and are rated for more extreme conditions. How much you wanna bet the Watch Ultra 2 has it back and the Watch 6 Classic will be discontinued…
That Band style has nothing to do with Apple or Samsung. Those are just watch band styles that have been around as long as people have done rough sports. At least in the modern day.
I can't wait to have it on my wrist. I'm going to be upgrading mainly because my dad wants a smartwatch, and he preferred the Watch 6 Classic out of all the Samsung watches available, so I'm going to be giving him mine.

I hated the look when it was first leaked. I love Samsung devices. Then it started growing on me. I decided to trade in my watch 5 pro. Received it today. So far it looks way better in person. Loving it.

I purchased my Galaxy watch 6 preowned when I went back to android last year with the pixel 8 pro. The watch was meh to me, just like the iwatches i'd had. The iwatch ultra was so exciting to have finally. I literally looked forward to going to work just cause I got to wear it. lol But I grew bored of iOS in general, and went back to android. Having this watch, gives me the excitement I felt when I got the iwatch ultra. And the galaxy fold 6 release is what kept me from going back to iOS, and finally more on a permanent basis. Since I've never had the classics, not having the bezel isn't an issue for me, but I can understand how it could be for those who were used to it.

I was able to get the Watch 7 Ultra for 249.99 through my cellular provider using the company I work for. Here in Canada, it was 879.99. I've never had a smart watch before, and i really enjoy it! Hands-free at the gym is awesome
Samsung styling doesn't look like your everyday smart watch. I prefer how the Samsung looks on your hand, swap that orange band to a darker color and it'll look like a ultra expensive watch 🔥 #whiteshoes❤
Dear Mr. Flossy, Today, I officially became a Samsung knight. Picked up my titanium version this morning like yours my guy... I got it with the z flip 6. I know you like the Motorola this year champ, but I did my tour with Motorola last year with the razr. It's a dope phone but pound for pound the build quality on the z flip is far superior than the Motorola. It's not even a debate my guy... I bought the watch and I have to say that I'm really impressed with the build quality and the display. I thought it would look giant on my small wrist, but it actually fits great. I do have to say that the ECG app is not available in every country, I hope that it will be available soon for my country.
