A higher Love . I got it with a plan from Tmobile they have an app called Digits that connects both numbers or makes the watch the same as the phones number. I got the plan that Tmobile is runbing this month for an additional line at $5.00 a month.
FkknJerry14 $5.00 month plus fees add a line special till end of month. $349.99. Had some credits so didn't pay anything. went out twice in the past 5 days and didn't bring my phone or wallet. Oh and the more you use Samsung Pay they give you rewards . I earned enough points to get $100 to spend on Samsung.com. from Nov 25th to Dec. 25th.
I've heard of an issue where the "Always On" doesn't really mean always on. Sometimes it's always on, other times off. Have you been experiencing this at all? Thanks for the informative videos! Subscribed.
Murat Izmirli You need turn on "Always On" feature just like I have in my Samsung Gear S2 3G. 1. Settings 2. Style 3. Watch Always On When on "Watch Always On" mode, the standby display will become black and white as part of implementation to save battery.
Murat Izmirli it's more related to brightness, some times in always on I had some miss adjustments in the bright level while always on when changing from low to high light ambients, but nothing to worry about. in ambient mode you reach end of day with 30% battery with dark faces.
Joe Blow have the leg g watch r. Both Tic2 and TicS. 3 versions of the pebble watch. Now that I just got a new galaxy s8 I was thinking of getting this watch. All of my other watches are always on. Do you really need an aftermarket app for this watch screen to always be on?
I know it has been nearly a year since your review but I am looking to get one in the next couple of days....I have the Zenwatch 3 and it is super thin. the comparison to the 360 V2 was super helpful in size. I was worried it was going to be too big but having had a 360 V1, it being so close in size, i have no problem with that at all. Thanks man!
there are plenty of not chunky watches that cost more than any RADO or Hublot...and there is no "real-men's" watch. just wear whatever you want to wear. thats a real man.
IP certificates is often something like 30min in 1m depth (depending on which number IP certificate it is). So helps against rain and showers. But you can get waterproof devices. You just have to go fora thing with an ATM mark of 5 or above.
It is still a nice watch. Bought mine this week and paired it to a Motorola G6 Play. Works flawless. Calls from the watch are doable in a quiet environment. Now it is €199, great value.
Awesome watch, gorgeous and Samsung pay is epic, I have this version and love it. I have the heart monitor BPM, sleep monitor my credit cards on Samsung Pay, weather app, tracks your steps, I will be wearing Samsung Smartwatches for the rest of my life it's so versatile, I can wear with formal wear casual wear interchangeable watch bands forget Apple and Hauwei, I can talk through the watch making phone calls and its crystal clear works impeccable with my gorgeous Samsung S9 Plus.
Damn, never paid any attention to smart watch, and i thought the apple one was good. But just on the looks alone this one is a lot better. Doesn’t look like a toy
I am loving this watch, battery life suffers should you install a gps locator app because it constantly tracks your position. uninstall that and I am getting almost 5 days on a charge.
Love the review, and I have one on its way. But I noticed near the end of the video you said you were waiting for the Samsung s8 phone to come out. I have an s7 and was hoping you could give some info or tag in a video I've missed about the s7. Really hoping the s3 frontier watch will work flawlessly with the Samsung s7 phone.
Omg yes! It's a tiring thing for me living in the states, like... so much for this place being a '1st world country' everywhere I go and I use Samsung Pay they always tell me, "no" and I am able to do it anyway and they're always confused and think it's some form of sorcery. LOL The more you know... I always have to educate and tell them it uses the same magnetic strip technology that is on a simple plastic credit card, ppl here are just afraid of technology I tell ya... that's why most are clueless. This is still relative today in 2020. More people are aware but they always tell me, "We don't do apple pay" I roll my eyes and I'm like, "It's not apple pay", I use Samsung Pay and I tell them, give me my receipt. :D
Bought this at a garage sale last year for $2.. the elderly couple who sold it,told me it just needed a battery, so I bought it thinking it just an "watch"..gave it to my brother ..he told me it was a samsung gear watch and all it probably needed was a charger and so we got a charger for it gave it some juice and it worked..lol,
Any comments on how the black finish holds up over time. Every quality black-finished metal watch I have owned gets relatively scratched and the black tends to wear off. That's why I choose stainless finish now.
" This device passed military specification (MIL-STD-810G) testing against a subset of 10 specific conditions, including drops from 4.9 feet, extreme temperatures, dust, shock/vibration, and low pressure/high altitude. Water-and dust-resistance based on IP68 rating (water-resistant in up to 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes). Rinse residue/dry after wet. See user manual for more details. " Close enough to water proof for every day use.
Andrew Elliott so if it falls off a table it will be okay if you had a choice between the watch or the note 8 which one would you get if you couldn't afford both
Got mines almost 2 weeks ago thru AT&T with their galaxy note 8 special. Got it for $49.99. Love that I can leave my phone at home when I go to the beach to throw net. Although I didn't plan on using it I love Samsung pay! Didn't even consider it when I bought the watch but it's a really convenient feature. Now when I go throw net(castnet) I can leave my phone Nd wallet at home! I used to be afraid of my phone getting wet from the waves. Also love that it has its own phone # too. I can strap it on my son's wrist if I need to get in touch with him when he goes somewhere. My wife's phone broke so she used it too for work and she wants one now. Lol
lookatdreams yeah Samsung has gotten so good as software lately compared to way back in the s5 days. Their new phones and watches are sooo smooth and actually Last years now
I have a Samsung phone and used to like Samsung pay but now that retailers are going to the chip it seems not to work anywhere. The magnetic strip replication is meaningless because the readers dont take mag strip any more and the NFC does not work and I don't know why.
Being that i have a professional job (where i put a suit on each day), i perfer to have this over apple watch. Not only does it stand out (as everybody got a damn apple watch), but it looks more professional with a suit in my opinion. Love it. It also strangly blends in, as people tend to think its a more expensive watch that is not a smart watch.
The link to Amazon is for the Bluetooth only model and can't make calls. I'm thinking the T-Mobile and AT&T models cost more because they have LTE and Bluetooth.
You can finally try swimming with it, no worries. I give you the good news, my friend, i tried it and nothing happened. Telling you this after 3 times of trying it, by an average of 10 mins of non-stop swimming in the beach. #happyswimming
It's rated to 1.5 meters / 30 mins. The reason they don't recommend swimming is because if they promise it's waterproof then they are required to fix water damage which may be caused be accidents or else.
I've had it a year and stopped wearing months ago. It sucks, waist of money and couldn't even sell it. Waiting for Google to make one as nothing works well on this pile of expensive junk. Nothing good to say about it. Cancelled my data on it and now it sits collecting dust as I wear my old watch again. Don't buy
can someone tell me how the water proof works for the speaker, I was washing the dishes AND When I was finished I noticed the speaker was water logged after awhile I went back to normal, I tried to ask Samsung but all they told me was " As it is IP68 water resistant they're water resistant to a maximum depth of 1.5m. for up to 30 minutes, and are protected from water, dust, dirt and sand. " I just want to know if I am keeping the watch in water to long or is that how it sounds before the water leaks out, HOW DOES THIS THINKG WORK I AM ....AMAZED TO KNOW??!!
Good job on the video but I would recommend next time to put the product you're reviewing on a stand or some type of display, it's a little distracting while you're holding the phone and it's shaking around
I would be using this with an iPhone 7 Plus. Does this watch make and receive phone calls via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi? Or do I have to get a separate line from my mobile carrier to do that?
How **STUPID** that they force you to put in your PIN ALL THE TIME... and use a screenlock... when you only need it for the Samsung Pay. It ruins the speed and ease of using this watch. **SAMSUNG... WAKE UP!** Patch that thing and remove that stupidity!!
Huh....Mine doesn't have any problem with PIN code popping up. He must have it set up incorrectly. And you do not want to use online pay methods. Will be easy for scanners to hack and empty your account. Nice concept, but dangerous. And it's not $350 bucks. You can get it for $200 - 250 if you know how to buy everything in life for 25 - 100% less like me (I'm driving an AWD with only 19k miles, with a current value of 27k ....that I bought for 11k).
-Verizon does offer this in LTE with its own number. I purchased mine via Verizon August of 2017 -You should do an updated version of this review with the Tizen 3.0 update. A lot of new features were added -YES!!!! Samsung Pay on this is amazing. I originally thought it was the same thing as Android/Apple pay but with Samsung Pay you dont need to look for the specific emblem on the pay devices. It uses an audible tone that interacts with the magnetic strip. Only reason you can't use it at the actual gas pump is they require a physical card to be inserted. - I work in the engineering/surveying field and have used it as a phone and no one has ever complained about the audio quality and the speakerphone on it is quite impressive (relatively speaking). It's also really nice to throw this on a "hiking" workout and have the path you took on google maps show up on your phone which can be exported. - Im also an avid runner and with the 3.0 Tizen update they allow continuous HR monitoring and the precision has definitely been improved (yet not perfect). - I use this with GPS on, continuous HR monitoring, a 45 minute run session, an hour+ "hiking workout" for work and by the time I get home its at about 40%. Keep in mind, I charge this when I get home. So I wear it from about 6pm, sleep around 10pm with Sleep As Android (all functions enabled), wake at 5am, gym by 6:15am, then normal workday from 7:30am-3:30pm.
i wear a CASIO EDIFICE ..the only thing i would ask IS does it tell the TIME ,i love SAMSUNG they have put a pc on the Wrist ,WELL done ..but i got a pc anywhere
Can we make phone calls from smartwatch with other android devices? Because i'm not using any samsung smart phone so this is my top issue with this watch to buy it.
Good job, well done review. I only wish he were just a bit more concise, he repeated himself a lot. Nevertheless, quite a fair review. I own both, so I can tell you that he is pretty much spot on.
I swam with my gear s2 and plan to swim with my gear s3. You don't even mention the bezel. And as much as I've had my small complaints about tizen because of the limited app support android wear is total trash at this point.
with the watch connected to the phone and without a sim card, can u make and take a phone call with it like the apple watch series 1 without connecting it to a bluetooth headset? thanks.
Hi how are you, thank you for the review. It helps me a lot!!.. I have a question for you. I just got mine three days ago and so far, so good! The problem that I’m having is listening to my music, how can I get my music to work? I did download Spotify and subscribe to premium as well and I still cant see the to get it to work! Any suggestions????? Thnx
You constantly putting the pin code in was extremely irritating, I had to stop watching. Why didn’t you just turn it off, for the purpose of the review?
Omg its sooo heavy!! I can barely lift my arm!! I mean what have we come to, honestly?? Smart phones should have no bezel,,thin enough to roll up or fold in half,,cameras that can zoom in on Neptune and take brilliant pictures,,are we honestly in a world of never ending expectations, that should only exist to supersede previous expectations?!
Ain't a damn thing wrong with the Samsung's Galaxy gear s3 weight deminsion... If one can lift the weight of 2 quarters placed on their wrist then certainly one has the ability to wear this watch...
Sunny Mishra could I also pair it with Bluetooth ear buds? Like if im cycling, I would have my phone in my bag, and I would have the watch on my wrist for gps navigation and music controls, and music playing in my ear buds. Is this possible? If you could confirm this for me id really appreciate it. I'm looking at Bluetooth version, not LTE
can you listen to music from your phone on the watch? example I go to the gym leave phone in locker. Bluetooth to my watch and my watch to my beats it will play music from my phone? or do I have to download it on the watch?
+toobig the Bluetooth 4.2 is rated for 40 ft away from device. I would recommend downloading small playlist to watch then bluetoothing to the headphones. Leave the phone in locker.
hi, I need this Samsung Gear 3. but my question is that does it support Whatsapp, Facebook, messager and mail. if yes, can you read all your mail when received and reply?
