I found this review pretty good, he went over the sound bar and played some clips about how it will sound and gave his impressions of the sound. What more do you all want?
It is really really difficult to review audio products especially when viewers are watching this compressed youtube video on different devices. I can at most is share my experience when setting up the device and hopefully capture some sound profile
Good review! However, so many bad comments and feeedback about that products from buyers with units (mainly rear speakers) failing after only few Months...
Great video and details. But I have one question about its performance in small room like 10*12 feet. So should I buy it for small room or are there better alternative?
I see a lot of drama about this HW-Q950T. A lot of bad reviews of the subwoofer and speakers cutting out.. Loosing connection. Also the price started at a wopping $1800.. But now it already sells for $1100 in denmark (as a blackfriday thing). I am just afraid that this could be a potential bad buy. I want it for movies, youtube, twitch and so on and so forth... I went to the store in denmark where they sell it for $1100.. They had blocked it to maximum 38 in volume on the soundbar... Does it go to 100? And also. Do you experience any cutting out of the subwoofer or anything? Do you think it cuts out, because people use it wireless?? I have no problem in using cables for the woofer.. But he speakers, that are supposed to be behind my ears, should obviously be wireless.. But connected to power behind me. What are your opinions on this? Thanks on advance!
So far I haven't experienced any sound drop off from the wireless connection, be it the subwoofer or the rear speakers. As for the volume, we have been testing using the eARC connection to the TV so it follows whatever volume level is shown on the TV screen.
@@MyEverydayTech Can you please check out with normal? Also Bluetooth ? I tried bluetooth in the store, and the bass dropped out when lowering the volume fairly low.. As if it was not at a certain volume, the subwoofer would not play any bass at all. Maybe do a follow up video of this ? Because it is certainly dropping a lot in price!!! Start price $1800 and now in Denmark it sells for $1100 That's nuts... The 960 model is still stable at a price of $2082.. But what's different about the 960 model, compared to the 950?? I don't get it.. Thanks for the quick response
@@DudleyIntelligence i am debating on the 950t as well - i just feel if i cant pull the trigger because the price doesnt justify the problems, plus the sales on ebay are nuts - $1100 - I dont think it would be a great soundbar. My old n950 from samsung was 7.1.4 and i had the same disconnecting issues. They still havent learned.
I wish I had seen this review before buying my Q900T, as like yourself I cannot buy the dedicated rear speakers (as shipped with Q950T) here in the UK. I don't care for the speaker's as suggested in the user manual, as they don't feature the upward firing speaker, nor do they look as smart and are not totally wireless as you have to run wires from a receiver hub. In hindsight I would have opted for the Q950T. As a tech reviewer how about you organise a petition to get Samsung to make these speaker's available as an accessory worldwide?. I for one would vote in favour.
Great review . However there is one very big limitation to this soundbar as of now , it does not have PCM 5.1 & 7.1 support in it's HDMI in ports. Playstation 4 and other consoles have games with PCM 5.1 audio . So if we connect our consoles directly to soundbar and use earc for passthrough , PCM 5.1 audio in games with get reduced to stereo 2.1 output. Also the centre channel gets mute.

PCM 5.1 audio is everywhere , even many Blu-rays and shows on Netflix , Prime and AppleTV has massive collection with PCM audio. @ JM Can you please test this soundbar for LPCM SUPPORT .Also rtings in there review has also mentioned the same thing and this is a massive feature missing , and if you are buying this for gaming or for PS5 , it will not decode PCM 5.1 , even though it 's predecessor Q90r had this feature. To have best audio and lag free experience , it is recommended to connect external devices like a gaming console or streming device , directly to the HDMI in ports of soundbar ,but with PCM 5.1 support missing , this soundbar has serious limitation and is not a worthy buy , untill samsung fixes this issue. Excellent review... Now selling Lazada/shopee around RM 3800. Im using LG 49 inch 4k LED tv. TV has hdmi arc functionality. would you recommend to buy Samsung Q950T soundbar?
this soundbar is great for video entertainment, however, if you plan to use the direct pass through from the game consoles, some users has reported the limitations of the support for PCM 5.1 and 7.1
