in this video I explained how to installa gas cooktop. the cooktop I installed in the video was a Samsung brand and the model number was NA30N7755TS , its a smart cooktop and one of the best ones in the market.

Thought no pipe dope on the ends the yellow hose attaches to because THAT is a compression fitting?

@@marcrichard7741 whatever type works. It fits most brands. It has the shape so no matter what you use it will fit. Unless if it's too big and unusual. Enjoy 👌😊

Na30n6555t gas stove top led stays on. It's the far right controller where the knob attaches to the stove. Where is the on/off switch?

Just found this model in black at lowes for $649 was a canceled special order. Box was never opened.

Great video. I have the same cooktop, it started giving me yellow flame instead of blue. Can that be fixed by turning the nut on the regulator?

Thanks for watching and the comment. No That means the hole that the Gass comes out of is b blocked or maybe grease and grim is covering it Use a small needed and clean the hole It will make a huge difference.

@@renovationschool8818 I used my set of tip cleaner (for welders) on all 5 burners. Two of the burners needed cleaning, but they still burn yellow. Thank you for the helpful tip. I placed a call with the gas company, they will come out to do an appliance safety check.

I thought I should share this with you. A PG&E gas company tech came to do the appliance safety check. After one quick look, he asked if I use a humidifier or air purifier at home. We do, but in a bedroom upstairs and with door closed. Then his response was that the use of them is what is causing the yellow flame on the cooktop. He was 100% sure of that. To prove it, he asked me to stop using the room humidifier (upstairs) for 24 hours and check again. For the next couple of days, I tested his idea by using the humidifier off/on and sure enough, it is true, in my case yellow flames result from the use of the humidifier.

I don't know the part number There are many websites online that u can order parts for it. It's easy. Or u can call Samsung and the can send u one also.

How much the back counter top size should be? I had electric cooktop and now I am installing the same gas cooktop which you are installing in this video. I am not sure if this will fit in that are.

i dont know what you mean by back countertop if u mean the distance between the back wall to the cut out ,it was about 3 inches

These are all standard size, if u pull this out and go with the electric, or if u pull the electric and go with gas they will fit no issues

I know that this is an older video, but I just had this stove top installed and the flames are too high. Is there anyway to adjust them?

Yes First make sure that you installed the regulator the correct way. There's an arrow in it . The point of the arrow has to be toward the regulator. If everything is correct then you turn down the gas shut off valve alittle so it supply less gas. Try these and let me know what happens 😊

@@renovationschool8818 The stove top was installed by the place I bought it from. The flames are mostly orange and are much too high. I tried turning the gas shut off valve down a bit and was able to cook on it, but the issue remains. The flames reach around the side of the pan and don’t heat it correctly. Maybe the regulator needs to be replaced. Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it. I’m having the company that installed it come by and try to fix the issue. If you think there’s anything I’m missing, or anything that I should mention, please let me know. Otherwise, I’ll let you know how it turns out after they come by to try and fix it. Again, thank you for the help.

@@-Jame- that's very strange , take the black plates off of the top and see if there is any nozzels inside , you must have a brass nozzel in every burner. google stove nozzels so you can see the pictures. its the first time i hear something like this. please keep me posted.

@@renovationschool8818 Ok, so here’s what happened. I ended up having to call the gas company to check the gas pressure coming into the house, which turned out to be a bit too high. They adjusted the pressure, but the flames on the stove top were still very high. I then called the people who installed the stove top, and they said that the higher pressure coming into the house most likely damaged the regulator in a way that they couldn’t fix. They then suggested that I contact the manufacturer and request a replacement, which I did. Long story long, today my replacement was installed and the flames now actually look a little low. But, that’s an easy fix if it’s an issue at all. I’m just happy to have a stove to cook on instead of the hot plates that I’ve been using on since January.

I have quick connect in garage so I was thinking to install gas cook top in garage it’s around 6ft far from quick connect I can’t find yellow one more than 4 ft so I was thinking to connect with grey natural gas hose

@@garrysingh9038 it's not recommended, please hire a gas fitter they will install a yellow pipe to the size u need and the cost will be around $150 to $200

Hi i just wana know why we can’t use grey barbecue hose? If it car work with barbecue out side why not with cooktop inside

@@garrysingh9038 it's not a the safest connection option , if it's outside and leak it's not gonna kill but if it leaks inside the garage and someone walks in and turn on a light then booom the whole house will be exploded. The whole point of having that BBQ connection is so you will be able to disconnect it in winter time when u store the BBQ away. It's not a permanent connection. Plus inside the garage you get alot more traffic so chances of poking a hole or pinching the hose is very high. Over all u don't want to get gass leakage. One thing u can do is to go to home Depot and buy a pipe 4feet long and extend you black steel pipe so it gets closer to ur stove and from there u can install the yellow pipe. I still suggest getting a gas fitter do that for you. I never recommend a homeowner to touch gas pipes.

Curious how you would replace just the control panel where the knobs are? We had surface of our control panel ruined so we ordered just that new piece and are figuring out how to install it. It is Part #PD00049668
