Thanks Drew, got my Note 20 Ultra yesterday, and was about to give up on the camera after playing with it, glad I watched your video. just reassured me on a few settings, back to drawing board ... DJI Memo app on osmo mobile 3 and filmic pro are useless with it, so far..
yes, Samsung has horrible support for 3rd party camera apps, I have the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 but just use the stock camera app with it, same with FilmicPro every video just stutters so much and doesn't let you control the telephoto, the best camera app for Samsung phones is really the stock one
Actually here in the states with the updates the s20 ultra is miles better then before . And that 108 mag sensor takes crazy good picture so much natural background blur
Brasil, peguei o note 20 ultra, mas na foto, não tinha 5x de zoom óptico, o que vc tem, vc tem certeza que tem 5x de zoom óptico? No aguardo, obrigado.
I just returned my note20 ultra. It's the first galaxy phone to use the LTPO active matrix layer that allows for a variable refresh rate. In other words, it is a BETA feature. It also ruined my time with the phone. People were commenting on how the phone looked "dull" in hands-on videos but I just assumed they had it set to a non-vivid profile by default. Wrong. No matter how much I messed with the display settings, the display looked flawed. The contrast is heavily reduced on a large segment of the greyscale, especially when set to lower brightness, and there is that uneven lighting you see only on LCDs that gives it a "sheen". I hate that sheen and unevenness. I also hate the low contrast. It's why I swore off LCDs and have been buying Samsung phones for the past decade. Because they have the top tier OLED displays. But the Note 20 Ultra is basically stepping back to a completely different era of technology. I have no f---king idea what they are doing. If the photos were actually good, I wouldn't have known. I was struggling to watch youtube videos without getting pissed off, much less enjoying any of the photos I took.
@@aoikemono6414 I'll stick with my Note 10+ for another year. First generation of anything sucks. Usually Samsung does this first time things on the S series. Thanks for that info
I already own an S20 Ultra, so do you think that I should upgrade to the Note 20 Ultra? I am not an SPen guy. Would appreciate your advice sir. I do not take much videos, mainly photos. So can I not just adjust the S20 Ultra focus by tapping on the screen while taking photos?
you haven't reviewed the frontal camera of the both phones, i need one for vlogging please review their front cameras with walking and running. i want to check the stabilization of the both phones
Hi👋,i need help for these two phones ,if i do record the videos almost use front camera which one do u prefer and which one has the better night video quality front and back?,really need help for this , hope u can see my message thanks
the front cameras are very similar anyone of them will work just fine, the autofocus problem is only on the front cameras, but since there's really no point in getting the S20 Ultra, just go for the Note
@@drewhunter3929 hi thanks for your reply U mean both of them front camera have the autofocus problem? So if i shot the videos, wanna show some products it will be autofocus problem at front camera?
@@best098988 oh my mistake, I wanted to say rear camera! The rear/main camera is the one with the autofocus problem, the front/selfie camera is fine on both
I'm torned between the two. I'm planning to get one for vlogging. Which one do you recommend? I've been using note phones before but I didn't actually used the s pen actually.
After watching this whole video all i can say is that this is way way better and accurate review than other popular tech reviewers like redskull who is really hating samsung color science on his new video comparing the n20 to p40pro while leaving the scene optimiser on with the n20 really bias and misleading.
i was gonna say the same :) i loved this very simple video with clear proof . i watched popular reviews with 5 million + subscribers and didn't get answers . Those guys are just lazy and tired what they are doing :D Not interested anymore :)
@@anonym5510 they are the same cameras but the reason the S20 Ultra sucks it's because the autofocus is slow and unreliable even after all the updates, the Note 20 Ultra doesn't have these problems because it uses Laser Auto Focus instead of the depth sensor used in the S20. I know very well what I'm talking about because I bought both phones on release and have been using them every day ever since. The Note 20 is miles better and there's no question about that
How is it possible that someone with clearly asian background speaks better english than most germans i come across...German and english have the same damn base language!
I feel like a winner being exynos user . Not an issue to me . People talk too much about it , It's specs on paper . There is no difference in every day use .A blink of an eye sometimes speed wise . Also exynos users in uk get 256gb of base storage instead of 128gb for snapdragon 865+ users which to me is worth more than a snapdragon 865+. I do not play games so to me storage is more important , and exynos can make better quality pictures when zoomed in and if not zoomed in they are just nearly same with no major difference and both can provide better pics in some cases over each other , both good . So this exynos is still a great chipset . People shouldn't worry. Few mins battery drain difference in every day use if not playing games. Heads up !
Sure, I guess if you don't game you won't see much difference, as normal apps won't push too much for the phone, but performance-wise the Exynos model is more on par with the Snapdragon 855, so a huge gap compared with the 865+ and it's *very* noticeable when gaming. Also like you said, the Snapdragon is more power efficient, around 10%, which is still a considerable amount. For storage you can always buy a SD card but you can't buy a better processor, overall the Exynos is a worse processor but like you said, if you don't game, you won't feel much difference. oh and a funny thing is that in Korea it comes with the Snapdragon 865+ and 256gb, every other country has to compromise 1 or the other but Korea gets both for the same price, Koreans get the best deal in the World
@@drewhunter3929 like many have said the average Joe is not gonna see a difference . Ive seen other people play games on the Samsung chip ultra . They claim they can't really see the difference thry both get hot if pushed and playing games will drain battery on both
Colors are different . S 20 ultra makes green colors yellow . Note 20 ultra keeps it green and more natural . It does make a big difference . Note 20 clear winner !
