Great first impressions video Joelster! Always looking forward to more content from you. Few things I noticed is that the 50 inch stand looks a bit different than the other sizes. For Intelligent mode you can actually change the color space and color temp this year so its a lot better by default it is in the Native color which is why you get that oversaturated look when you were engaging it.
Was the screen protector foil ? Today I unpacked the European / Poland QN91B (50cal) model, the screen was not protected and it was dirty and scratched.
Joel's video is crazy. The viewing tastes great. (Time-Sweeping) Other RU-vidrs have to learn. in comparison with c1 I want to see more colorful, bright, dark game images.
Joelster that was an excellent first impression video! I closely follow the high end TV market, especially Samsung, as I‘m a fan of the benefits that their Mini LED flagship models bring. I‘m aiming for the QN900B, but understand that the QN90B shares lots of similarities with it. (Hopefully QN900B native contrast and peak nit performance this year can keep up with the QN90B) I would greatly appreciate it if you, in a future video of this TV, could also test this year‘s Game Motion Plus performance compared to last year’s model, in a 30fps and 60fps game. Keep up the quality content bro! 😁👍
Hey , great video =) Is the blooming really as noticeable in real life as it is in the video, or do you hardly notice it at all? It really doesn't look nice in the video. Especially considering the price.
Are all of the new features in the smaller models though? The 43/50 have 12bit processing while the larger models have 14Bit. Also it says the 43/50 have 24x HDR while the larger models have 32x. One advantage the smaller models have it they are 144hz capable. I just wish they could all have the same specs and features….
@@HEAD123456 No. This years model is not like last years at all. 144hz panel instead of 60hz which is better than even the other bigger models, shape adaptive lighting vs standard lighting, VRR vs none. Main difference is the 12 vs 14 bit lighting and colour gradation processing for bigger models. But you do get a faster panel and better native contrast instead, so, alot better than last year.
The wife and I just came back from the local electronics store to check out the Samsung QD OLED. Right next to the QD OLED was this TV, the Samsung QN90B. Although the QD OLED was the best looking OLED we've seen to date, it wasn't all that much better than the other OLEDS right next to it. As far as we were concerned, the Samsung QN90B looked the best of all the 4K TV's. It had the whitest whites with the most pop. With the exception of night, outer space and very dark scenes, the QN90B looked better, which was abut 80% of the time. Before we buy a new TV we're still going to wait for the G2 and the Sony X95K , both in 77", to come out. Basically, we can't go wrong with any of these sets.
The qn90b will destroy any tv in demos as they are oversaturated but when it comes to real content in certain scenes it will look washed out compared to the oleds as it's the nature of lcd tvs as they have a backlight.
@@timmieboy37 yeah it's definitely the best lcd anyone can buy and most denitely an upgrade from your old tv. As long as you are happy that's all that matters. I love the neon colors on qled tvs
@@tac6044 I haven't decided which technology TV I'm going to buy. My viewing room is medium to medium dark so both type TV's would look good. I'm waiting for 2023 to see what's new. At this point I'm leaning toward a 77inch Sony QD OLED but, open to anything new that looks the best to me.
Thanks for the great review. Can i ask which demo you used to test the TV as it had some really good scenes to test the blooming. Would be great to use download it and try it in the shop when buying my next tv
Hello sir,was planning to get this tv but quantum tv as bashed this tv as trash and really horribly a blooming and banding tv the worst of this year, how is your really?
I'm getting the 55" because a 65" most likely will be too big. Was at a store today and to me it feels like you have to be at least 4 meters(13.1 ft) away from a 65" to not be overwhelmed.
@@andihelessthanthou I've had a 47" for 9 years now and it seems like more and more content is being produced for bigger monitors in mind. Especially text is getting smaller and smaller. I'm about 10ft away from that, and feel like a 55 would be better.
@@Perception_ you should be right. 55 inch does seem like the sweet spot for a lot of people. Plus there’s features you can only get on 55 and above. I’m thinking about going back to 55 because I do think that the bigger screen is better for the eyes 👀. Your irises don’t have to retract as much. Have to save up the money first. Maybe this time next year because a lot of last year’s models are pretty cheap at the moment.
Gr8 Video, Can you plz tell us what is the bandwidth of the Ethernet port ?Can we connect the USB Port to Ethernet via usb to Ethernet connector to get better speed ?
I used the tv less than a week now. You are right the U.I. is very slow compared to other years but faster if u block their ads. For standard netflix content that isnt 4k nor hdr... the samsung noise reduction processing is horrible. I get a lot of blocky artifacting that is very noticeable in dark scenes. Turning on noise reduction only helps a little bit but still present. Shows like queen of the south on netflix that has a lot of noise is made worse with this tv. I hope they fix it soon because its a deal breaker for me. My old 2018 q6fn smasung qled doesnt have issues even when noise reduction isnt turn on. Also the new qn90b seems to over sharpen images even with my sharpness slider turned to zero. My grandpa's lg c1 doesnt have any of these issues in the same scene.
Hey, when you have a whit screen in movie mode, do you get a red tinge but the left and right hand sides of the screen are white? It's like a reverse vinegeting I think.
How about motion judder viewing normal tv shows, rtings states this "Some noticeable stutter in slow-panning shots." do find this to be true on your tv??
@@sj460162 Ahhaha. They can't just take it away? Looks like they did. It was pretty smart move by them. They advertised QD Oled like 1400 nit peak brightness TV. And after all reviews were done and people actually bought TVs they nerfed it with a new firmware update to prevent burn ins. Theoretically you can downgrade firmware from USB. But im not sure if it's possible. You should check forums for that. But safest method is to keep automatic updates off on your sammy QD Oled
Less dimming zones are usual for smaller sizes, but this is the first time samsung includes high end features on their smaller sizes compared to previous years which they where usually 60hz edgelit panels with no local dimming and few gaming features.
Lol this is so wrong. Samsung has made the smaller sizes just as good as the bigger ones having 4 hdmi 2.1 120hz ports. Obviously a smaller screen will have less dimming zones because…..it’s a smaller space. After having seen them I have to say this 43 inch Samsung is the absolute best tv I’ve ever seen. This tv has ALL the high end features which thank goodness Samsung finally learned.
Doesn’t anybody see the rainbows and weird streaks of reflected light in even slightly light rooms? Especially in dark scenes? I’m going to return mine after less than a week. It even looks bad when it’s off.
I recently got a 55inch version, i also thought it was slow, i could not reproduce the picture i saw in the shop, overall i thought the quality of this tv was not a patch on my previous LG oled, even though it is now ruined with screen burn, i'm no expert, just my opinion i was very disappointed. so i sent it back.
I got the 43” version a few days ago, it’s being returned. It’s built-in speakers are very disappointing, zero bass in them & worse than my previous TV (43” Samsung KS7500). It also seems to have some weird brightness limiter that causes flicker in certain games. It didn’t come with a protective film out the box so the display had a load of marks on it. The stand design is awful, causes a lot of wobble on the TV. Overall really disappointing unfortunately.
Oleds are great if you are always using content in a dark room and there is no window in front of it. So yeah In the most ideal room set up they are great.. until burn in eventually happens, but if you plan to upgrade tvs every 5 years than that is not a problem.
you right i seen reviews of it, its very bad i can't believe how much samsung is charging for this tv 2100 dollars for a 55 inch with tons of blooming ridiculous
This a good tv but after seeing it person done some gaming on it and Samsung 's new qd old destroy's it if every way , the qd oled is the is truly the best of both worlds it looks more like a good led , with absolutely no blooming. Samsung best tv NY far .
@@ArtVandelayOfficial I have seen it in person and 8k it's incredible tv , but Samsung qd oled I seen in person yesterday at high end store near me it makes qn90b A 90j and rather c2 look awful in comparison , The color is so bright like red , blue , green , i normally don't do first generation tvs but it's that good in person so I ordered a Samsung qd oled from bestbuy it will be here Thursday.
QD OLED is a new technology so we don't know how it will age. LCD is a tried and tested technology so we know these TVs would comfortably last 10 years.
@@sundarchip I agree , I bought one from bestbuy game use in in PC gaming room , I know I am a gene pig. I normally don't buy first generation but the picture quality is insane for the price.
LCD = same worthless POS motion handling and PQ as ever. For ppl like me that gone OLED - went CX55 April last year,.and it just KILLS all LCD trash. Once one go OLED, no one ever goes back to garbage LCD!
That’s why I miss the old edge lit, my 2013 Samsung curve edge lit that was $7000 blew the QN90B and 90A out of the water with motion, heck on that tv I never even had motion controls turned on, always looked oled or plasma, those edge lits didn’t get vary bright, but all that extra room inside made bigger chips and processing
