I wrestled with connecting the Schlage Connect lock to Smartthings hub all evening until I found your video. Once I excluded the lock I could then include it... amazing that this is nowhere in either Schlage or ST instructions. Thank you so much

Thank you so much. I had to reset my Hub and it wouldn't let me exclude the lock from the start. Then when I set the hub back up everything came back online but the lock and after four or five different tries of resetting nothing worked but this did. Thank you again so much. I'm in a wheelchair and this is a great help to be able to unlock the door from my bed and let somebody in if I need help- thank you again keep it up. 🙂🙂🙂

I have an older 910 lock which i thought was bad until I tried this and it works great thanks, however I did go buy a new KW 916 with the same issue unfortunately this did not work for the 916.

I see that this video is older so I’m wondering if there’s been changes, when I install my battery pack it keeps beeping because of the alarm, is there a solution for that?

I had an issue with mine losing connection so I reset my Kwikset 916 zwave lock. Now I’m having issues doing Exclusion and adding device back to SmartThings. The issue I have is when I press the “A” button it doesn’t light up like I noticed in the video. This is with new batteries. I’m guessing I have a defective device.

Oh my, a neighbor installed my electronic lock for me and wondering now if there is a way to pair without physically having to place a part of the lock near the hub?? Do I have to remove the lock now to pair this to Smart Things? Thanks for any help you can offer.
