I got to meet Zadar at a convention many many years ago and had him sign a vhs box of maniac cop. Dude was so nice. Was so self aware to of the countless shlock he made. As a kid at the time I met him and thought he was the coolest dude. I will never forget a joke he made about how in his movies he would take countless hits on the chin because of how big it is and that after a while it became his thing to get hit in the chin and not be phased. Rip. He made a ton of terrible films that I really love and grew up watching.

Amir Shervan was mindboggling in how bad he was at making movies. Robert Z'dar was amazing in everything he was in as well, especially when he was hamming it up. I miss seeing him in movies, RIP.

I love how the hero, long-haired MA guy, looks like he's trying to not to laugh in every scene. Seriously, he's practically stifling laughter in every shot, lol. He's actually the guy that fights Stallone at the beginning of Rambo 3. RLM said he deserves to be the annoying comic "heavy" to the main villain, based on his look in this flick.

Supposedly, Amir Shervan made a 4th movie, but much like with the 3rd Weng Weng James Bond ripoff movie, no one has been able to track down a copy so far. We can only hope and pray that these movies are eventually found so that we can all enjoy them.

I was JUST wondering the other day if you guys would do this one. XD Amir Shervan did a total of five action movies in the US. Hollywood Cop, Killing American Style, Young Rebels, Gypsy, and last but not least, Samurai Cop. Of the remaining three, Hollywood Cop is definitely the most suited for a So Bad It's Good episode. It's actually quite similar to Samurai Cop, with the main difference being that it's a more competently-made film, which is odd, considering it was made first. ETA: Oh and sadly, no, that was not the van from Samurai Cop. That one was a blue Dodge van with what looked like a Hollywood sign painted on the side.
