You should look into the Sony 24mm 1.4 Not as wide but sharp across the entire frame, even at 1.4

I Just got this Lens for Astro Photography for my a7iii. Do you put it to infinity to Focus? & also What's the lowest ISO you think we can get away with for Astro with this set up. I'm thinking 640 Iso and they just recover the Shadows in Light Room, I'm curious to hear what you think. Thanks for the Video!

Mine I do just stick to the infinity line but I have heard others not being at true infinity when it’s on the line, so check yours through the day. It depends how dark it is where you are shooting, I’ve had a 30 second shutter and the iso even lower than 640 in the past. I generally don’t go past 6400 iso on mine

is the sony e version full frame just on amazon it says for APS C sony E. can you tell me as im buying this soon and might just buy the canon version with the sony adapter

There is a 18mm F2.8 AF from Samyang now, a tiny one, just thinking would that now be better than this 14mm for Astro?

I don’t think so personally. But that’s just because I like a really wide Astro shot. I’m also not a fan of AF lenses for Astro. I bet it is a great lens though!

HBFilms Agreed, AF is never used anyways, 14-18 , it does crop a lot for Astro, went for 14mm

I’ve never used the AF one unfortunately. Seems pointless to me with such a wide lens anyway

Can’t fit an ND without an over lens filter. There are some out there but it’s massive and not for me. I just expose with the aperture and shutter speed
