Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery and Tibetan Centre is a Tibetan Buddhist complex, located at Eskdalemuir Scotland.
Formed in 1967 the Centre is located in a peaceful valley on the banks of the river Esk in Scotland. Kagyu Samye Ling was the first Tibetan Buddhist Centre to have been established in the West.

I first visited Samye Ling back in 1975 when researching my book Buddhism in Britain - it was published in 1979! Here I met the two teachers, Akong Tarap Rinpoche and his brother Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche. I'll never forget that first visit. Anyway, it was/is for me spiritual heaven and I would advise all who watch this video to go and visit Samye Ling, it's an experience you'll never forget!🙏!
