I’ve lived and worked in San Francisco for over 20 years and it’s been going steadily south. The local leadership is so screwed up, so out of touch, prioritizes their agendas over their constituents, inept at making anything work, friends of criminals, punishes law abiding victims of crime… its so screwed up here. I want the whole board of supervisors and the mayor gone. We really need some level headed moderate centrists to lead the city.
Yup, totally agree. Breed has got to go. Saw her speak at APEC, almost nobody wanted to see her speak. We had to stop making food to encourage people to watch her. They wanted food. Not her!
You wish it was a standard ccp false impression. They pressure wash the streets here each day, every morning is a fresh reset. No dignitaries necessary.
Forgive me, because I have every respect for your situation - I just gotta say if I had a doggie I would have to scrub it’s pads each time we came home. I think about the filth on those sidewalks and it makes me cringe to see those beautiful paws walking the streets. I send you well-wishes and know it’s only out of a deep level of care and love for critters that I wrote this.
@@dirtmcgirt7125 Or at least doggie socks!!!!! Dang! You'd want 5 layers of protection True Story...when I worked in the city and after coming home on public transit (the train), I would wash the bottoms of my shoes with bleach spray and paper towels!
If you were walking through mid-Market st, it looks like an open drug sale. The city doesn't want to address the homeless situation, they wanted to pacify APAC. They did the same thing during the Superbowl experience several years ago (actually had a displacement camp for the homeless, so they could stay out of the Downtown until the Superbowl was over).
No don’t be subtle, it is an open air market. It doesn’t just look like one, but it is getting better I can tell you first hand. I was involved at one point in my life and see a big turnaround from even just a year ago. Just a year ago, every single store front had Hondurans from Oakland out front selling fentanyl on Eddy Polk, market you name it. Now it’s cleaned up and you can only see that stuff after dark or until 6am. It might not be the best but it has changed
Bingo. For all the money we spend on homelessness every year, you'd expect some improvement, but it only ever gets worse. Clearly some people are taking that money and getting rich. Likely the owners of the shelters.
Was in SF today, Van Ness starting at O Farrell starts the worst of the worst, the alleys going down to Polk are full of tents almost for the full block, both sides. Bottom line, no improvement at this point, walk the streets and see for your self. the squalor is now as low as Post Street, from Powell to Van Ness on Post and Sutter used to be good, now it is S^^^, literally. WTF. Last week i actually saw a guy about to get shot up with a needle, as I walked by. As I told the mid westerns on my trip to Indy, everything you have heard is true.
The police told the homeless and drug addicts that they will be relocated temporarily for just a week, then they can occupy the streets and the parks that the taxpayers pay for supposedly for the enjoyment of the taxpayers. That is in time for the Black Friday sales, shoplifters will be the major customers of Walgreens and all the other business.
Most of these homeless come from out of state to do drugs in SF and get services. They want to just be able to do drugs without going to jail. Ask most of them. They haven't lived here in SF for more than 2 years.
@@karelglasner2673where did you pull that amount from? Out of your as*h*le S.S. doesn't even give 600 to legal retired elderly. Seems like you are very clueless.
So this just proves that they do have the resources & wherewithal to clean up the streets, but only for dignitaries and heads of state, not the hoi polloi. Duly noted
counter to policy: I recommend making sidewalks skateboard friendly and promote skating generally; I recommend making wheelchair-friendly concrete-waves, scooter-ramps of minor proportions, and little 1/4-pipe-walls to stop-against on steep-hills; skate friendly, is eco-friendly and tourist-friendly. All the gasping-cities have exiled skating for boomers, gasping-cities.
what did business owner think would happen..... his/her gamble for paying lower rent in the area was hoping it would last forever??? meanwhile things go in circles......it be nice area in the future. just move dealers to different location and population in tents will follow
That looks nothing like the city I used to know. Oh well you guys wanted luxury instead of a working class healthy with S.F. Locals who loved the city. Now it’s everyone from everywhere trying to experience a city from 20 years ago.
The hippie communes of the 60's were a complete failure also. Impose vagrancy laws again? Possibly mandatory employment in state sponsored labor camps would be the answer to the problem? Businesses could set up shop in the labor camps with eight hour work days(40 hours per week) in return for three meals per day & a bed & shower in the barrack structures(keeps them off the streets & sheltered). Some type of @ least rudimentary medical services would be needed for the incarcerated inmates as well as jobs simple enough for them to comprehend. The great part of this is once walled into a labor camp they would be weaned off of recreational drugs & alcohol! A side benefit is once incarcerated into labor camps the crime rate in America would obviously drop dramatically!!! It would be a work in progress type of situation & who knows like maybe some incarcerated inmates could prove capable of providing for themselves & someday be able to be released into American society again!
San Francisco is like an oddball relative you see during the Holidays. If that relative changed, you wouldn't recognize them, and in some strange way you almost look forward to the routine or expect to see that relative with all their crazy behavior. That's San Francsico, we all expect and almost enjoy the routine of the crime and blight of The City.
Nope…I want the shopping downtown to come back…night walking with music in the air, good affordable food….not this addict bum entitled free drug den of parasites 👀🇺🇸👽
I am so sick of these democrats! I am voting RED from here on after 25 years of being blue!! Enough!!! At lease republicans will be tough and n crimes!!
San Francisco is fine. Stop watching the negative videos by people who don't live here or even in California. This city wasn't built on tourism, this city was built on rock and roll.
The most important thing for SF residences is: Welcome Xi JinPing as SF's own overlord. It's obvious that Newsome serves only Xi. Also, stay in SF and don't move to another city/state.
The only hope is through God’s Kingdom. Not humans ruling humans. Might as well keep trying to flap our arms to fly. Or teach our dog to play Mozart. We weren’t designed to rule ourselves. Jeremiah 10: 23
🐂💩....then why are DPW, SFPD, SF Fire, and DPT out near there and the Tenderloin cleaning and pressure washing the side walks, streets, and picking up garbage everyday? They have been cleaning way before, during and after APEC. Give them credit for trying.
Thank soo much Governor Gavin Nusence! Its a shame it was all for show. While Sam Frasiscans continue suffer on both sides🗑️ 🏕️⛺ Now remember kids! you only get who you vote for 🗑️ ☑️💯 "Now thats one to grow on"
