Absolutely love this watch! I bought the Titanium version. My dream watch has always been the Rolex Submariner in Titanium so when I saw the Titanium version of this watch, I bought it immediately.
I have the exact watch l went into an Rolex AD in New Bond Street London and tried on the Rolex submariner 41mm 124060 took photos. If l became a Millionaire over night ,l would find it extremely hard to spend the thousands ask for the Rolex submariner stainless 41mm 124060. When the San Martin watch in the Video l got for £207/$251 and to me even looks better with the sword hour hand. Plus on the on the fly bracelet adjustment. If you love the Rolex submariner,but don't have Rolex Submariner money, this watch is a no brainer, be it you like the Mercedes hour hand or the Sword hour hand, it's absolutely beautiful as a watch enthusiast.
Just thought I’d let you know that SM have addressed the female end-link issue. It now fully articulates down. They don’t appear to mention it on the product page, but my 11.11 order finally arrived today and it was a nice surprise to see they have taken feedback onboard from you and other people. The bracelet, end-links and clasp appear to be the same as before. Just FYI. Your video (and a few others) were very helpful when deciding whether or not to buy this one. I was waiting for the 11.11 sale before doing so. I think with the female end-link fix, it’s now virtually flawless (they could make it perfect if they remove the ghost date position though).

Love this watch, seems to take the best from Rolex models, maxi dial, milsub bezel and hands and no maxi fat lugs making this a strap monster, all rolled into this SM watch. Kinda a SM homage to a Ginault OR2. Great review, do want to see it different straps tho.
Great point about the sharpness. I have the SN017 which is WAY too sharp for what it needs to be. Both the case and the bracelet. Completely ruining the comfort on wrist. Sad to see they still do this since I was really considering this watch...
The titanium, Mercedes-hands equipped version of this watch is still calling out to me. Only problem is that there would be too much overlap with two other watches I own already (Steinhart OVM 39 and Cronos 6005). And since I'm not about to sell the OVM and I don't think whatever I could get for the Cronos would be worth the hassle of selling it .... thus far, I've been able to resist. :) I'm also not 100% sure about the shape of the case, or rather of the lugs. It seems to me that this one's a bit closer to a Tudor-case when it comes to its profile: The lugs are a bit straighter and aren't as "pointy" at their tips as I would like. It's probably one of those things you tend to mind more when you view the watch in pics or videos and might become a total non-issue when you actually own/wear it. All that said: I'm still hoping for SM to produce a faithful 5-digit homage with an appropriately thin case/profile. Say, a poor man's early Ginault with Merc-hands and no fauxtina.
Another Sub hommage, but this one is great. I prefer with the sword hands. Wich one you prefer between this one and the Seestern one? I have to wait Christmas for a new watch. For now I want the Ixdao Engineer one, but maybe I'll change (again ) my mind until then 😅. Excellent review with beautiful shots, As usual. Thanks for your great work, Steve.
Honestly very similar. Bracelet has screw pins, and the on-the-fly clasp here are the big selling points for this model. Finishing is similar enough, same with crystals and dials and lume. Is it worth the $70 for the bracelet/clasp upgrades? That's up to you.
It’s a great watch for sure. Just not very unique. I’m just not into to the Submariner style. Don’t get me wrong. I love Homages. Thanks for the great review as always.

I will never understand why these chinese brands are so averse to anything vintage-styled. This is just such a weird amalgamation. San Martin already makes vintage cases, why not just use those...
