Ryan, it would be awesome to find a geologists to come out and talk about all the layers of different earth components in your mine. Like dates and such.

Actually, the South Carolina geologist group has made a few field trips and offered some really cool explanations in the past

@@TheRealMrDigg what about the deep soil mixing machines or the trench deep soil mixers ? I was thinking those are more efficient than cutter head and deeper . Then come behind with a cable driven submersible pump

I recommend not pushing the sand like that . Would be more efficient to mix after washed .

Need to raise prices . Stop living in fear of running out and as skaves to the rich prople building more houses etc they don’t need . They can pay an extra 10 dollars a yard

If I could only get my competition to go up, then we could too

@@TheRealMrDigg you gotta be the one that does it first and believe in your company and believe that you can sell the customers on the value of paying a little more . Especially white sand or washed sand even - You gotta be able to make enough to pay all your costs , all your employees a good wage to keep the best employees, and also the rate you dig the mine is too fast so you need to basically raise prices just to slow down the rate of the land being depleted. Would be better to raise and lose 1/3 of customers and slow down the rate of digging . When your nearing the end of the sand mine in 5-10 years of however long it lasts you will regret not raising them now . That is my opinion based on seeing a mine close that I worked at after it ran out of land to mine

@@TheRealMrDigg worrying about competition is only fear . There are always places that charge a little more but are better than the cheaper . If you want to be the mine that just rips the ground up as fast as possible and sell as fast as possible that’s your choice . Also if raised say 25% even 35% and lost 1/3 of customers you would actually be able to have a real stock pile start to build up and worst case you can easily sell it in large jobs that need 500 loads or something and you can confidently sell it for one price

Why not raise prices ? Our mine is always in same situation. Constantly fighting to not run out just so we can sell our sand too cheap and barely profit

Competition is selling their sand too cheap

@@TheRealMrDigg so what . That is why you have a RU-vid and do good in community and believe in doing things the right way instead of just being a slash and burn company that will dig fast as possible then go bankrupt at end and leave the mine for community to deal with. Build relationships and explain to customers and the end point customers they should use you even if it’s a little more because you doing it better .. You are having to put aside money for when mine closes and has to be reclamation etc . There is a set of clients that do pay more for things even if can get cheaper somewhere else. Sand business only one I seen that kills itself in a race to bottom lol
