I really like the way you layer over areas. It produces an effect that brings the model to life and makes it more three dimensional (if that makes sense). It's something that I've been using more and more. A little goes a long way especially if there is more coming.

I diffidently want to try one of these at some point. But I have to learn too much first.

Hi Rick. Great video on a desert camouflage paint job. Especially the green color areas I find great. The show and describe the colors I find very important. The result is so great. The rusting with oil and pigments looks very real.

The FM on Army Camouflage ( Forgot the number . It came out in the 60s ) had a proscribed pattern for every vehicle type that was supposed to be followed exactly in pattern and colors for a particular area of operational color scheme. The pattern had to be drawn by hand so true exactness was difficult but was followed very well for a few years. As time went on , following the pattern exactly was ignored more or less. But most commanders liked to have a kind of uniform pattern for their company. The Mech and Motorized companies I was in ,were distinctive so that we could tell by pattern and color which company the vehicle belonged to . Ironically one company was distinctive because they had no common pattern but used the same colors. All used the same issue paint but the way it was prepped for painting led to some variation in cclor in the end result. I'm sure this seems wrong to some.. but I can tell you with certainty it happened. The colors you used in this video are very good. I saw tanks in that generat pattern and color. The modern Nato 3 color pattern follows the original idea of a uniform pattern and is very uniform in color and pattern. .Thanks.. I am looking forward to building this kit .
