Yes, and I love what he says to her in the next scene. "That was bravely done." Just another quality to add to the list of surprising things about Charlotte. I agree that his glance sideways at her showed him under her spell, as if he's asking, "Who ARE you??" ❤️ ❤️

The Guilded Age is the next "Downton Abbey"...Sanditon is another otherworldly series..Both are Absolutely beautiful in their own way!

I heard from one of the interviews that they had two horses--one in particular I think that was trained to play Hannibal--horse did great acting job conveying that it was upset/anxious--I felt anxious/upset watching/hearing him.

@@ccburro1 I heard that too. I imagine on a TV set there’s lots of extra horses. They’re all so different.

Justin Young, the head writer, did an interview that came out after the finale where he said something about Ben doing open-collar swagger very well, and after the fans' reaction to that scene they knew Colbourne was definitely going to work out as their new Austen hero 🔥 I was on board from Charlotte's interview, but that scene sealed the deal. And when he put his forehead to Hannibal's, I was fully in love 🥰

@@susanfirth9883 Well he sure sold it. It’s nice to see someone making complete 100% use of their character. Ben is Colbourne at every moment. Not a second is wasted. And yes, the gentle bit with the horse clearly intrigued Charlotte as much as us! If I’m honest, I thought Xander was pleasant looking at first sight but I didn’t think he had the typical Austen visual impact some of the other heroes have had. My opinion changed very quickly. Haha! I love when a character’s personality sneaks up and magnifies their attractiveness exponentially. The character is just so beautifully complicated but a good man. Flawless men are boring. 😂

He looks incredibly HOT 🔥 🥵 😍 coming out of the barn...hair all tousled. Wow!

@@rachelsmith5479 to all these comments yes! That's what I said! "Holy moly look at the swagger on him!" But it doesn't seem like a conceited swagger? More like a brooding, manly but also trying to be casual/laid back saunter? Reminds me a bit of Toby Stephen's 'Mr. Rochester ' swag he had a bit of in Jane Eyre? Super hot! And his hairrrr yess is soo nice, he has Tom Cruise/Christian Bale Batman hair!! 😊😉 And the bit with his head on the horse shows he is a gentle caring man who wants to have/show affection/support and is still capable of nurturing/comforting someone (Hannibal here), even though he's been alone a while, so he must show his love/care to his animals. Seems he has a deep love/friendship with his animals 😊❤. When he put his head against his it was kind of him mentally saying to him "it's ok I'm here" /giving a hug 🤗...When he said "someday you'll realize it's for the best" why the girls shouldn't know him, I would've said, 'you can't be that bad! Anyone who likes animals like that can only be good"😊...also an observation, anyone notice Hannibal kind of resembles his owner? Dark hair, dark eyes, beautiful mane, tall, strong, a bit restless , guarded, proud, but also a nice, gentle, good Boi underneath who is just like any other horse that wants love, attention/affection, good companions and be playful too...Also when he was walking on path with her, his vest/coat were unbuttoned and his hair tousled, like his whole person is more relaxed/informal / comfortable with her and getting to know each other/talk on a more friendly/playful level, as if they're two best friends who love each other discovering they're really soulmates 🥰😍❤. And yesss his character of being a good kind gentle, sincere, sweet, soulful man MAKES him even wayy more handsome than he is!! Just shows how if someone has a good/kind heart, it MAKES you handsome /pretty period! He is 100x hotter than Lennox..just one of the most handsome men ever! ;)

I wish that the producers (as some crumbs to fans dying to see Season 3 and having to wait a year) would release all of the deleted scenes. Justin Young, the Creative Director for S2/S3, stated that they shot approx 600 scenes in 2021 towards producing the 12 episodes for S2/S3. I wonder how many were deleted?

@@ccburro1 they probably not deleted, I hope in the future there will be extended/ director's cut available. There mighty be anther two or three episodes per soon we are able to see, which is aggrievating to no ends. Same was pulled by masterpiece when sense and sensibility came out(2007/2008), when compared DVD version to the version originally released/ aired on TV, there is about an episode's worth of material cut ....poorly done....PBS/ masterpiece....poorly done

Yes, this scene! Also two more points drove it home for me -- when he gives her that side-eye as if to say "Who ARE you?" and then, after he's been so formal with her, to casually say, "C'mon," at the end. I saw a whole life with them together 🥰
