I think so too! Besides being a surprisingly passionate person, he’s kind and funny as well. Charlotte is just helping him see these things about himself. If he can conquer his demons, he will be an amazing husband and father!

I recently made a fanart of these two, and it’s insane how much Ben looks like my father when he was his age. My dad had such similar facial features. But anyway. These edits are going to have to get us through till season 3. Although my mom and I are binge watching it on our Roku.
OK so does anyone think that S3 the issue will Colbourne is that he can't have children.....or so he thinks but actually by some miraculous chance when he finally gets with Charlotte all is OK in the end 🤔🤔 Is this perhaps what's held him back from fully declaring his love and proposing to her because he doesn't want to put her through heartache of not having children? Just thinking out loud on here. I really need S3 to hurry up already 😩

So glad you brought this up! I too wondered about their getting married so young and her spending the rest of the season in London while he went back to his estate... Is it just me, but did anyone else hear the subtext when Lennox told Colbourne in the tent scene: “I remember the state Lucy was in when I first met her, lost and abandoned… All I did was offer the comfort her husband couldn’t… You know I speak the truth.” Was Lennox specifically calling out Colbourne's inability to perform in bed? I heard in an interview Ben Lloyd-Hughes mention Colbourne's steadfast trait of integrity; maybe he only wanted to honor and give Lucy space and time before becoming parents... Definitely, S3 needs to hurry up already! Last thought: The audience has invested too much already in A & C coming together, she couldn't possibly end up with Ralph!?! That would be cruel... Unless Charolett Haywood changes her mind and tells Ralph Starling she doesn't want to marry him then guess who charolett Haywood marries at the end ? Ralph Starling was in season one épisode 1 and in season 2 épisodes 1 and the last. Ralph Starling will be the second mâle lead in season 3. Given Alaxander Colburon honorable Gentleman once he find out Charolett is to marry Ralph he will step aside without saying à word to charolett. Dont get me wrong I love this couplé and I am rooting for them. If you watch and listen to the writers its not about Charolett Haywood finding true love and à Jane Austin ending. Its about Sanditon itself. I am listening to the pod cast interviews and season 1 Charolett and Sydney Parker were never meant to have a Jane Austin ending it was always meant to end with Charolett marrying Ralph Starling.
I believe you are mistaken. Just last night I heard the head writer say that they were being true to the Austen type story arc and making sure to give the fans the satisfying ending they want. I haven’t met a single fan that wants her to marry Ralph. It will be Charlotte and Colbourne. Have no fear!
